Located conveniently across from Budweiser gardens, this is one of my go to spots. The owner is a really nice lady who has always been very helpful and courteous. As for the food, it's amazing. The menu does change from time to time but I have tried the wanh mi and tuna melt and I can say they're nothing short of excellent. They're so flavorful and they're large so you are bound to leave with a full stomach. I can't comment on the dining experience as I have only done take out but they do have nice decor with an open concept kitchen. I had only heard great things about this place so I finally made it. The place was packed and everything looked so tasty. Since I almost always gravitate towards Asian good, I got the chicken w'anh mi. It was a bit on the pricey side at around $9, especially since the best banh mi over ever had in my life was $3.50. But this is London and because of the lack of competition, things just cost more here. I can accept that. My first bite was delicious, the powerful flavored of the soy sauce marinaded chicken with the crunch of the pickled vegetables felt right. Unfortunately, by the third bite you realize they overmarinaded the chicken, leading me to finish off two bottles of water and wanting to taste anything else besides soy sauce after completing my meal. Was in London for the first time and was getting lunch for the band and crew from a venue down the street. I walked by and peaked in this shop the night prior and was excited to try it out. When I walked in I was greeted by lovely owner who helped me choose sandwiches for everyone. The kitchen is on display and everything looked so clean, fresh and amazing. I ended up going for the veggie sandwich which was zucchini, kale, roasted tomato with a white bean hummus on homemade bread. Usually the veggie option at a sandwich place can lack flavor but this was insane! So much different spaces and the bread was not too crunchy or stale. You can tell their menu is well fully thought out and unique. I wish I was in town longer to try another sandwich. Highly recommended ! read more

Depending on which meal you choose you might think the chef is a witch because of the speed and precision they make it with. I always drive by this place to park my car for work in the mornings. I thought it was a casual sandwich shop, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is a nice sit down restaurant. My favorite part was seeing the open kitchen. You can see the ceramic pots filled with soup and the rich cuts of meat. I decided to eat lunch here on a cold and rainy day. I picked a table and sat down. The waitress was very attentive! I had no idea what to order because everything looked good! I had a cup of tomato soup, which was rich in flavor and warmed me up! For a sandwich, I decided on the take on a bahn mi sandwich. The chicken was grilled to perfection, the pickled vegetables had a nice pop of acid, and that mayo was rich and creamy. The bread was soft and absorbed all that delicious flavor. The waitress was super friendly and the service was excellent. I can't wait to bring my husband there! Between the service and the food, we had a great experience here. We stopped in by chance, as we were not familiar with the area. We originally went to the "Early Bird" as one of our party had recommended it. We were not treated well by the host, who seemed to be Dieter, the Sprocket from a Mike Meyers SNL skit. The sandwiches at Wich is Wich were inventive and tasty. You could tell that the ingredients were high quality. We had the tempura haddock : light and tasty! Amazing tempura coating, well balanced slaw. The wahn mi, also a treat to the senses! The slaws are artfully created to really tweak the great flavors of the meat. The jerk chicken, Delightful! So may things happening, yet not overwhelming. The Marrakesh chicken, well combined, tanginess and basic flavors very complimentary. We also had the poutine creation of the day, it was adorned with generous slices of perfectly roasted steak, a great dish to share. Their fries are pretty delish as well. The hostess was so welcoming! We had a toddler with us and they happily made him a small plate of sliced meat and cucumbers, which would have been his first choice. Ordered delivery from Wich is Wich but haven't actually been at the store yet. I had the Bella Sandwich (Salami, Porchetta, Provolone, lettuce, tomato, and salsa verde) which is super-delicious except super oily. I'm not sure if it's because of the amount of time it was sitting in its wrapping before it got to us, but the oil was dripping off of every part of my sandwich. I didn't end up finishing it because the oily-ness of it started to make me feel a little queasy. I would definitely like to try another one of their sandwiches again - and probably order in the restaurant itself. We ordered as a group and everyone else was happy with their choices and none of them had the same oil issue that I had. read more

Not only were they out of ingredients for what I ordered, it took 15 minutes for the staff to tell me! I was here for a lunch and 15 minutes is too long to wait to hear your order can't be processed. The service is terrible. The atmosphere will leave you wondering if you have stepped into a "proper sandwich shop" or someones dreadful kitchen. A combination of tacky tiles, poor seating and lack of anything that boasts the claim of a proper sandwich shop is what you will find. Awesome place to come for a quick yet quality lunch. They do sandwiches right, with a large selection of breads. Not a huge sandwich selection, but what they do serve is unusual yet familiar at the same time. For example, they have a "Jerk Chicken" sandwich, that I've never seen anywhere before, but sounds amazing! I had the "Bella" sandwich, which consisted of Italian cured meats + provolone cheese. Tasty, high quality ingredients and a fresh baguette. Delicious. One caveat though: my lunch companion got the gluten-free bread, which was crumbly and a bit dry (even crumblier and drier than typical gluten-free bread). May have been an off day, but good to know if you are a gluten-free diner. read more

I love Wich is Wich sandwich shop! The service is always great, and we go there for lunch all of the time! All three servers we have had are friendly, helpful and attentive! I am a vegetarian, so when they have there veggie soups it is my favourite! I always get the oven baked sandwich, and my boyfriend gets the tuna melt, every time they are made to perfection! Always quick too!! Even during the busy lunch rush! We often try to go around 2 pm because it's a little more calm. Thank guys for running such an awesome sandwich shop! read more

Chicken wahn mi can definitely be improved. The slaw was too saucy to be at the bottom of the bun. soaked through and destroyed the bottom which made it very hard to eat. Either put it in the middle or use less sauce in your slaw for a much better sandwich experience. :) everything else was great. Marrakech chicken was amazing. The prices are worth it for this top quality, quick-service, great location, exemplary sandwich shop. Great staff and decor as well. May be a personal preference but maybe have the meat be warmer on the sandwich. I would have enjoyed it most if it was hot with the contrast of the fresh toppings. Bun was delicious but it's a lot of bread. Grill-pressed sliced bread like sky blue sky in Toronto might be a great option to have. I want my money back! Was here for a late lunch with some co-workers and none of us were satisfied with anything this spot had to offer. Upon entering an empty restaurant, we were initially surprised that we were the only patrons there, and naturally were expecting a speedy lunch - after all, this is only a sandwich shop. After selecting what we wanted from limited options, the order was placed with high expectations considering the prices this place charges. Received our 'lunch' at separate servings and were NOT impressed. Some ingredients were not included in the sandwiches, the portions are ridiculously small, and if you order anything but a veggie, you will be deeply disappointed in the amount of meat include in their sandwiches - Jerk chicken?? Might as well order cabbage on a bun! One of the most disappointing, over priced and pretentious places I have ever been to. Really cool spot with friendly staff. Had the tempura haddock sandwich. It was delicious and slightly better than Kelseys messy fish sandwich. The price however is high for what you get. There's alot of good sandwiches out there and while this place competes on flavour they do not on price. I would recommend it but with the warning that you need to be prepared to pay more than you should have to. As a result I doubt I'll be returning as the value is lacking. read more

I stopped in today for my first visit. It was quite busy so a good sign. The service was impeccable and delivery of food was prompt. Ok now it goes downhill. The sandwich was served on a dirty old wood plank with small piece of wax paper under it. Yuk. The sandwich I ordered, probably half the ingredients had fallen out of it onto said dirty plank. So that's not getting eaten. But even if you wanted to there is no cutlery other than the knife they give you to cut your sandwich. The sandwich itself was good. It's not cheap though. I found the beer pricey as well. There are so many other upscale restaurants downtown offering lunch specials under or equal to what they charge just for a sandwich, I can't say I would go back here. read more

This was my second time being disappointed here, but even worse was that when we tried to explain (twice!) that we felt like we had been mislead by the menu, there was nothing done about it! We ordered the 'Wich Board' that says is for sharing. Then we were told that it was pretty small... This is how you sell an item? We asked how it compares to the one sold next door for $3 less, and she said it was the same. Okay, on with the board of cured meats, spreads, breads and artisan cheeses. W.T.F. Three slices of provolone cut in half to look like 6... This is what they consider artisan cheeses?! That's only one, pretty basic, boring cheese. When we were finally so fed up, because she was clearly not interested in coming back to ask how our meal was, we wanted to box the rest to take home. She then insisted on doing that for us. Fine. A small token but seriously, the board was still full because we were so displeased. Get home only to discover that the "spreads" (aka the mustard) wasn't even in there and it was all just thrown into the box like a pile of vomit. If you order a sandwich for the main reason that it has crackling on it and it DOESN'T HAVE ANY CRACKING ON IT you're not going to be impressed. Terrible service for just ok food. We were looking specifically for a Porchetta sandwich similar to Meat & Bread in BC ...then we found this! I ordered the Filipino sandwich and enjoyed it except the crunchy part of the pork was too hard... Almost stale. It didn't taste as fresh as I expected... But perhaps my expectations were too high since I compared it to Meat & Bread and they have the best Porchetta sandwich ever! So for my first experience there the sandwich was fair... Wished it was a little more fresh but overall price was ok for the portion you get. I would come back just to see if maybe I had an off day and try something else. read more

Such yummy food, and can't say more good things about the staff. It was raining heavily the night we went, and the staff was so sweet they let us stay in until the rain tapered a bit even though they were closing!
