Great place for a tasty sandwich. Seems like they change their menu fairly often. Noticed that the sandwich I had a few months ago was no longer there. The space itself is fairly small, but it doesn't seem busy during the lunch hour on weekends. I got a Tuscan sandwich the other day, which was the only vegetarian option I saw in terms of sandwichs. It was tasty but there was a thick slice of undercooked sweet potato in the sandwich, which wasn't too impressive. After seeing a picture of Kosmos' Crispy Chicken Panini, I immediately went there the next day. The pictures do not do this place justice. The food, service and overall atmosphere of Kosmos is absolutely amazing. If you are in London, this is one of the restaurants that you MUST try. Food - 5/5: i went with my girlfriend and two other friends and we ordered the Kentucky Panini, Crispy Chicken Panini, Fish Tacos and Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese Panini (its listed under mac and cheese) and Mexi-Fries. Absolutely everything we had was amazing, and every ingredient in each order was carefully put, ensuring that you get a unique, palatable and mouthwatering taste. The chicken was bulging out of the buns, the pulled pork was perfectly cooked as it was not too sweet and saucy, the mac and cheese-pulled pork blend was a perfect combination, and the fish tacos had a very subtle and not-overtly-fishy taste. Service - 5/5: even though this restaurant was one of those operated like a fast-food restaurant where you order then you have the option of sitting down, excellent service was still provided. The staff would check up on us to make sure everything was going well, and they were also very friendly. This was one of the rare time where I actually WISH i could've tipped the staff. Price - 4/5: the Crispy Chicken was $10 and the Kentucky was $9.5, this was including tax. So even before tax, it would be around $8-9 for a panini, which is somewhat expensive. However, it is well worth what you are getting. Overall Kosmos is an amazing restaurant that I will definitely keep on going to. Friendly staff, amazing food and fair prices. My hospital ordered from here and I know someone who used them for a wedding, so we're ordered catering for our cottage weekend and the food was terrific! Prime rib was well flavored and cooked perfectly! We also got chicken, rice, potatoes and salads with deserts....and sandwiches of ALL sorts. Diamond in the rough. One word: tzatziki. The tzatziki on their Greek fries is AMAZING! If I could order a cup of it, I would. So perfect. That whole dish was top shelf. To note: the "combo" size is still very large. The Richmond wrap was well balanced in its fillings. Nicely seasoned chicken and a good mix of all the veggies and sauce. I would get it again. Prior to going, I knew the wait for food can be long so we made sure to arrive before the "lunch rush." However I think it took an extra long time and started to wonder if they forgot about us. Having walked by this place at least 6 times a week, I am a bit surprised at myself for taking to long to try it out. The lunch hour rush is for real, and sometimes you can find people waiting out the door for this place. It's a small like venue, seating for about 20 people inside. Having been here twice, I tried a wrap and a paninin, both perfect, both suspiciously filling. I got the turkey and brie panini the first time, and it was perfect. The bread so crispy on the outside, soft warm and chewy in the inside. The filling was overflowing with goodness. You will never feel like you have overpaid, that's for certain! My husband got the grilled cheese mac and cheese sandwich and it was amazing! The mac and cheese was actually seasoned, so it wasn't just some blandish noodles in the middle. It was perfect. My husband will forever be getting this sandwich. He also praised whatever seasoning they put on the fries. The second time I came, I got the richmond wrap. It looks like a normal wrap but beware, they put some crazy filling magic in it that makes you instantly full from eating just half of it. I went with two others with pretty strong appetites and both of them weren't hungry for the whole day from eating one sandwich. At about 9-10 dollars a sandwich, totally worth it. The only cons are that the food takes a while to come out (totally worth the wait) and that my pickle chips were perfect the first time but the second time, they were a bit dry. The second visits pickle chips was what made this a four star instead of the 5, since I typically like my pickle chips to be nice and moist in the inside. I had a Cajun Chicken chicken sandwich with avocado substituted in for the bacon-onion jam. It was a superb panini. The grilled chicken cutlet was perfect. It wasn't dry and was seasoned perfectly. Veggies were standard but paired well with the sandwich. The sauce used was excellent, and I used some of the panini bread to lap up the aioli that escaped from the sandwich. The staff were friendly and helpful and told me that I could sub out one part for something else, and really made a great recommendation with the avocado. One of the staff even followed up with me and how the sandwich was which I appreciated. The restaurant has an modern unassuming feel to the place with some window seating and group tables. I've only had takeout from Kosmos (for now), and even that blew my tastebuds away. Their menu changes semi-regularly, and I had one of their spicy chicken grilled cheese sandwiches, and oh my, was it tasty. It was a buttery, cheesy, honkin' big sandwich and bits of saucy chicken were falling out as I was devouring it, but it was totally worth it. Don't forget to order their Pickle Chips -- the name does not do 'em justice. They are, in fact, perfect slices of pickle in a thick, crispy batter that doesn't even warrant a dipping sauce. read more

After seeing their fried chicken sandwich on the front page of Reddit I knew I had to try it for myself! The chicken came out very fresh and crispy and had an amazing sauce that added a kick. I don't think it lived up to its hype though and is a bit on the pricey side for $10. I also wanted to try the fish tacos but they only serve that on Tuesdays. One of the guys behind the counter overheard and said he could put in a special request to have it made for me which was super nice of them to do. Kosmos is home to my favourite sandwich of all time: the pulled pork grilled cheese with macaroni. I know they have other options on the menu that are probably great too but I need to order the PPGC no matter what. It's just too delicious. I've only sat in the restaurant once because it's usually way too busy and the seating area is tiny + once you do get a seat, you are crowded by people walking in and out anyways. Once I no longer live in London, I'll definitely be taking some trips back just to have this sandwich. Preferably, they would open a location in Toronto (please!). read more

Finally made it back to Kosmos today for lunch. This time I went for the Crispy Chicken (which is HUGE) and a side of Greek Fries. It was more than enough food to share which is what I was doing. The kitchen staff kindly cut the Chicken in half for us and we dug into the Greek fries like they were going out of style. Love the light but crispy panko style breading on the chicken. It remains tender and juicy inside. Has a huge kick with the jalapeno in the sauce I think it is? I dunno but I loved it! Bumped this place up to a five star in my books. read more

The tzatziki with the chopped cucumbers/feta/tomatoes (in the Fries of course) complemented the pulled pork macaroni sandwich. The price is fair and the portions are filling. My coworker and I decided to try it for lunch, we started calling about an hour ahead of time but they never answered the phone (tried 5 times) and we showed up to order and it was going to be a 25 minute wait. YUM! This is a great spot for lunch and a much needed addition to Richmond Row! Their paninis are delicious and the huge line at lunch hour is a testament to that. The turkey/brie panini is incredible (one of my all time favourite flavour combos!) and I am super eager to try their other selections. My co-workers have tried some of the other sandwiches and have equally high praise. Kosmos also offers "Make Your Own Salad" where you use a checklist to build your own salad. They have some salads on the menu too if you prefer them to do the thinking! My one criticism is that the store itself is small, so it gets crowded quickly. During the week, it's up to luck when it comes to getting a seat at the restaurants and takeout orders do have a bit of a wait time for cooking, so you end up lingering inside and feeling like you're in the way of everyone. I do a lot of takeout lunches in London and recently read that Kosmos was the place to grab good sandwiches. I popped in and ordered some chicken soup along with a souvlaki wrap and both the cajun and crispy chicken panini. The interior is a small space with half a dozen tables, a counter and a TV displaying the menu hanging over the cash. The good- The food is really good. The crispy chicken sandwich was close to surreal. It was huge. The breading itself was a tad mundane but the aioli took it up a notch. The other sandwiches were great contenders as well. The not so good- I was relieved that I got there before the lunch crowd but that relief diminished as the minutes ticked by. It took close to half an hour to get the order so I felt for the people who came in when there was actually a line. In the end, both the service (although the people were very pleasant) and the food were both hot messes; but in the case of the sandwich that was a good thing...and I haven't even tried the fries yet. read more

A friend and I decided to do lunch on their intimate patio - it's prime people watching real estate right in the middle of Richmond Row. The restaurant is small, but the taste is big and the menu has just enough selection without being overwhelming. We ordered the Greek fries, spinach salad and the Cuban panini - all were tasty. One word of warning: the fries are quite large and could have easily been a meal unto themselves. I was choosing a place to take a Bumble Date out to eat for a quick lunch, and this spot was perfect! It was the fourth time seeing him so I knew what kind of food he liked. It is central downtown, so we were able to meet there no problem. I got the famous chicken sandwich, while he tried a new grilled cheese. What more could someone ask for? The only negative thing I can say (and it's not really that big of a deal) is that today when I was offered the soup she asked if I was ok with spicy. Being that I don't mind spice, as long as it's not too much, I said it was fine. But they may want to make a note on the menu when something is spicy just so people know ahead of time. I really like the crispy chicken sandwich and the staff are always very friendly. That being said, you may want to avoid when you're in a rush and its not exactly the cheapest place. I would say a sandwich with a side and drink will run you about $15 -- which is slightly more than I prefer to spend. I ordered a souvlaki wrap and a grilled cheese to go and waited 45 minutes to get my food. 5 people came in after me, 3 of them got their food before I did and 1 of them got the same thing I did, were they waiting for my grilled cheese? I was told that my food was just being boxed and 10 minutes later I still didn't have my food. When I finally did get my food the order was wrong and it really wasn't that good. Will never be back. Just had my first experience at Kosmos and I have nothing but good things to say! My sister and I went for a late lunch today and tried the blue maple salad ( not sure if that's exactly what is called). It was delicious! We also tried the Brie cheese panini. The guy working was amazing!! I have nothing but good things to say about the service! He went out of his way to split our sandwich, ordered a different aioli when I didn't like the one was on it, brought out extra side plates, water.... he was so great! When he forgot our order of pickle chips he quickly got it and brought us out another side as well!
