I don't like writing a review like this... Unfortunately, I stood and waited for 5 to 10 minutes at the Wait To Be Seated sign. I was looked at and ignored several times.There were lots of tables that were empty. I was dressed well and patient... this was 7 11 24. When I explained to the manager that I just drove for 2.5 to 3 hours with no one to welcome me, I said, "Well, I guess you're busy." The answer was, " Well, kinda." In all fairness, she apologized, but offered no solution such as, "Let me seat.you and get back you once I'm finished here." I guess that my business was not required. I'm very disappointed! Place was packed but we were seated right away, Food was served with in 20 mins. Everything was great but one negative the vegetarian skillet I order was all hash brown with couple diced onions with eggs on it. There was hardly any other veggie in there. My friend and I were passing by London on our way home and thought we'd give this place a try based on our location and the previous reviews. This place has the feel of a family-friendly, country diner. There is a large seating area with both tables and booths. Very casual atmosphere. Servers were very friendly and checked on us regularly. The menu is varied with many comfort favourites and they do have a seniors menu as well. Considering it was a Saturday evening they weren't extremely busy and it was quiet enough that you could have a conversation without yelling. Both my friend and I ordered the 'feature' which comes with soup or salad to start and dessert at the end. The salad was A-Ok, it was your typical green salad with fresh vegetables. The entree was where I had the biggest concern as both the vegetable (carrots) and starch (mashed potatoes) didn't taste like anything I'd ever had before, and I don't necessarily mean in a good way. Had there not been such a shocking discrepancy, I wouldn't have cared but I like to be able to identify by taste what I'm eating (I'm funny that way). The main protein (chicken parmigiana) was delicious, tons of melted cheese and baked to perfection. But dessert, oh dessert...that was the highlight! They offer a bowl of jello (something I haven't seen on the menu in years) with IMO the ultimately BEST whipped cream in the world! I grew up with this whipped cream because it was the kind St. Hubert's used when they had restaurants in Ontario. It's sweet and creamy and I could eat it all day. Similar to cool whip but thicker. It made my day, week, month, year! OMG! Price point was reasonable ($14) for the feature and service was exceptional! I'm a new fan of this place! My mom came to visit this weekend and this morning before she left she wanted to go out for breakfast, and had been googling places in London, and this place popped up. I think I had been here before, long time ago, I didn't even remember, so coming back was like my first time all over again! We arrived around quarter after ten and walked in and were immediately seated, the restaurant was full of happy patrons and the sounds of a small town diner when you walk in. Our waitress came by right away, and took our drink orders, which were three black coffees, for my mom, boyfriend and I. We perused the menu, which had everything from breakfast to dinner if that's what you wanted. My eyes locked onto the Greek Skillet, which sounded delicious, and my mom got the Pork Skillet and my boyfriend got the BLT with a side of sausage. As we were enjoying each others company, our waitress came back in about 15 minutes with our dishes, piping hot and eggs the way we like em. She was funny and personable and very pregnant. Super impressed she was still working! Good for her. The Greek Skillet tasted delicious, it came with green peppers, onions, spinach and the potatoes were cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was topped with feta cheese and two eggs the way I like them, sunny side up, and a side of rye; you could either get white, brown or rye, but I chose rye today. The food was tasty, and hot, the service was excellent and the ambience felt like a local small town diner. I brought my son there for a quick dinner just to get us out of the house for a bit. I tend to avoid the plethora of chains that populate Wellington Rd when I know there's a few local places that break the monotony. I've been a few times for breakfast but this was no first dinner experience. He's a spaghetti and caesar salad type kid so that choice was a no brainer. I opted for the cheeseburger. What I appreciated about the meal was the attention to detail and the value. My homemade burger was $9 and came with homemade soup and fresh cut fries. My son's spaghetti was a little over $10 with a $1.25 surcharge for a caesar salad. The food arrived almost immediately and was hot and fresh. He demolished the pasta and the salad and worked on a few of my fries as well.I found the burger pretty decent as well. I had no issues with the service. They were polite and prompt. I ordered a chicken wrap to go for my daughter (who didn't want to join our boys night out) and they packed it with a bag of salt, pepper, ketchup, utensils etc. Once again, impressive attention to detail. I'm not giving it 5 stars because it's the best place I've ever eaten but in the context of a local, value driven diner with great family values, it's about as good as it gets. read more

Stopped here for breakfast on the way out of town for Christmas with my dad. The prices were great and he really enjoyed his classic eggs, sausage and toast. I opted for the wake up breakfast wrap which I really should have passed on. While there was nothing wrong with it persay it was also not what I expected. The wrap was not toasted at all leaving that sort of rubbery wet taste to everything inside. The ingredients were fine: spinach, onion, egg, bacon, cheese... but the wrap being not even warmed just dampened it. Also the hashbrown potatoes which are likely a huge hit were a miss for me because of how much dill seemed to be seasoning them. That said the table next to us had huge pancakes with chocochips in them that looked great. This is greasy spoon so it is what it is. My food choice was on me, not on them entirely I think if I go again it's pancakes for sure. Where it loses me is the bathroom. Very little wait for the meal! If I had to complain the toast crust was dark and the bacon hard, but it was home style on the grill with the real potato home fries and sausage. Near the 401 it's super convenient and while the building and decor could use an update, the food and service and bottomless coffee will keep me coming back! The floor was a bit sticky and mucky, but it is a miserable day with rain. Came here for breakfast (at 1pm) on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised to find out the the food is actually delicious. The waitress was very personable and positive, so you just have this great feeling when you order your food. I got the vege eggs Benedict and my husband got this giant breakfast combo that had a sample of everything including a pancake and French toast. The eggs Benedict was perfect, and the hollandaise sauce was just so beautifully creamy. The breakfast potatoes, while not crispy, was phenomenal and they seasoned them to perfection. We went for breaky sun Nov 23. Never been before but heard good reviews. Nice establishment, bright and clean with clean washrooms. We had coffee, green tea, the Wellington breakfast and traditional eggs Benny both with rye toast. The food was excellent. Pancakes were a 8/10, four pieces of bacon with the wellington that were cooked perfect, eggs were perfect and both orders of home fries were good. We got what we ordered without errors. The eggs Benny was excellent, possibly the best I've had (and I've had eggs Benny a lot). The only issue was the waitress made us wait quite a while for our beverages as she had forgotten, but we considered that minor as she was very personable. The value for our dollar was average but better than Denny's. The green tea was a bit pricey but we were not upset with the price by any means. All in all the experience was very positive and we left feeling we had an excellent breakfast. We will be letting our friends and family know and we look forward to returning. read more

I find it to be on the pricier side for what it is, but that is personal opinion. It was extremely busy both times I've been there (once on a Saturday, and once on a Sunday), but we were seated right away. The first time I was there I waited 35 minutes for my food, which was disappointing.
