A very subpar meal. The eggs Florentine came with egg shells in the pouched eggs,, spinach wasn't sautéed even after we asked, and the roasted potatoes were inedible likely due to old vegetable oil. We brought it up to our server, who shrugged her shoulders and left us with the bill. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, it still took over 20 minutes to get our food. Not worth it! The orange juice tasted weird and bitter. After a conversation with the staff, we've been told it's because it's from the "bottom of the bottle" and sat there for quite a long time. Disgusting! They exchange the orange juice to another cup and its taste contain plastic odor. I ordered crab cake with eggs and my gf ordered poached eggs. Both of our dishes contain burned home fries which is a disgrace (please check out the photo I uploaded with burned home fries in the album above). I do not understand why this place has been given awards. The waitress was excellent! The plate I ordered was impossible yo eat, so I asked them to take it back. They brought a new plate, but still charged me for the awful plate I did not accept since they brought it back on a to-go bag. I am used to not be Ing charged for something I do not like and send back, but these people did not learn about this part of service. Will not be back again and I would recommend you do not either unless you are ready to order something you are absolutely certain that you would love like maybe hard boiled eggs. This morning, my boyfriend and I had some errands to run, so we decided we wanted to have breakfast out, and I gave him the decision on where to go, and he chose Sunset Grill. This place has been open now near Burrito Boys and Costco for some time now, but we never are really in the area, but today we were, so we decided to try it, and it was a good choice on his part! When we walked in we were immediately greeted by the server who was cashing someone else out, and told us we could seat ourselves and she will bring some menus in a moment. Moments later our menu was given to us, and she asked us our drink orders, two coffees, black. My boyfriend's coffee wasn't hot at all, she apologized, the heater wasn't on and promptly gave him a fresh cup. We browsed the menu, it was more on the expensive side, but I ordered the Salmon Eggs Sunset, because we all know my love for salmon. My boyfriend ordered a side of home fries, toast with jam and blueberry pancakes, since he doesn't eat eggs. I was asked if I wanted my eggs poached, to which I said yes. From taking our orders, to the plates reaching our table wasn't long at all, when we first walked in I had only seen one cook in the kitchen area, which is open concept, but when we left, it got busier, which was around 9:30am, so we came at a good time. The salmon eggs sunset was so delicious! The smoked salmon was rich in flavour, the poached eggs were perfect and runny and my boyfriend enjoyed his breakfast as well, we actually took the pancakes home with us. It was very quiet when we were there, the whole place was very open concept, which I liked, and our waitress was very upbeat and nice. As I previously said, the prices are a bit expensive, our total with tip came to around $40. Anything besides the traditional eggs and bacon will ring you up higher. It's a nice place and I'd like to come back if I'm ever in the area. Perhaps I'll try something different next time. read more

Love this place! But had to give 3 stars not 5 due to the fact they were sold out of breakfast sausages at 9:30 am. (Its a breakfast restaurant). Settled for the ham. :( Orange juice is $4.25 a glass but it's brilliant!!!! Better than Tropicana. Huge portions. Fast service. Will be back. But next time if you're out of sausages I'm going to take the 1 minute walk across the parking lot and buy some at Costco for you. read more

came in for breakfast with my friend! Was seated and served coffee and water right away! service was amazing and everyone was very friendly food was made perfectly. In the busy environment we noticed another customer getting angry and yelling at service staff due to not being served right away and was very aggressive towards the staff right infront of our table. Food was passable but portions small, unlike the old fashioned Sunset Grills in Toronto's east end. Medium eggs were soft eggs. Small amount of potatoes were quite salty. Poor server was terrified of getting into trouble when I asked to be seated at a large table because I needed to spread. I had to talk to head server for permission . Sunset Grill is a nice little restaurant to have breakfast or brunch at :) The service is absolutely amazing! Our waiter was incredibly kind and attentive, and he was in a really good mood even for 7am on a Monday morning :P The menu is quite large, and they offer your typical breakfast foods such as pancakes and waffles. The food is pretty good, sometimes a little pricey, especially for add-ons. My sister recommended Sunset Grill after she had brunch at a Toronto location and I knew I'd have to give the new London location a shot. Service, 10/10. Awesome. Our server was extremely attentive and lovely. She made sure everything was perfect and was SO nice. Food was delicious! I ordered a breakfast meal with pancakes. The portions were large (unfortunateky these don't come with toast, kind of sucks but not worth docking a star) and the hashbrowns were amazing. I have no idea why they were so good, but oh my god. Pancakes were perfect and fluffy. Our food came out quite quickly and the turnover on tables was extremely fast which is important for a breakfast place. Went here for the first time today at lunch since I really love breakfast food, and I was thrilled. They seemed a bit understaffed, but the food was delicious and really brightened up a dreary day. We drove by and noticed this Sunday that it was open as a new location in that development near Costco and ButritoBoyz We were greeted pleasantly and seated in the farthest back area, but that was because the place was very busy , First and memorable reaction is that there is an intolerable roar of constant noise with so many tables and open kitchen , hard surface floors in a cavernous open ceiling large room , they need to get the acoustics fixed soon or I will not be back . Breakfast type menu was good but slightly higher than most in west London , the bacon was plentiful with B&eggs , choice was good and waiter was accurate and attentive As its brand new the bathrooms were very clean and the main dining hall had many Amber colour Tiffany lights for a bit of ambiance , Please fix the loud sound level it's really annoying read more

Noisy Poor service At 1120 am there were only 4 tables occupied and most of the rest were dirty. They had to seat our party of 5 opposite the server pick up area with one chair I the aisle. Why they just didn't clean another table to sit us at baffles me Bacon was ordered crisp and it was so limp and undercooked. Home fries were greasy and undercooked Wife wanted 2 eggs. My wife and I stopped in for breakfast for our first visit to the London location. We have had numerous meals at other locations and quite enjoy Sunset. Upon arrival we were given a table that wasn't stable and once our coffee arrived it spilled all over so we were moved to another table. My wife ordered a custom omelet and was told she could not have an egg white omelet with one whole egg as per her usual request. When her meal arrived she realized that it wasn't cooked after trying to find portions that she could eat. We brought this to our waiters attention and he took it back. When he returned with it he told us that they had put it back on the grill for her. Not sure that this is a safe practice and at this point we were extremely disappointed with our experience. Neither of us wanted to eat anymore so we left. While paying my wife brought our experience to the attention of the Manager and other than saying that it should not happen nothing was done. $30 for a coffee, piece of toast and a little bit of egg..... Went here on a Sunday, long before close. Were sat by a hostess?? Not sure, but she brought my wife and I a coffee and tea, then no one came near us for almost 20 minutes.
