    Caramel Frappuccino

I've come here a few times now on different trips to London and every time the food has been amazing. It's always a happy place, the ambiance is wide open and very bright, just perfect. I had the Chocolate Frappuccino and 3 Cheese Bacon Sandwich this time, both were great. The chocolate frap wasn't too sweet, unlike many cafes that make their fraps very sweet. The coffee flavour wasn't too overpowering either. The 3 cheese bacon sandwich was amazing. One of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever had, plus it was gluten free bread, I couldn't even tell the difference! All together, it's very well managed, happy and has great food and drinks. If only I lived in London, I would come here every day. Also they have a coffee donation program, like an organized random act of kindness for those in need.

The ambiance of this place is relaxing and minimalistic, with a lot of natural lighting and spacious seating, making it a fantastic spot for grabbing a meal with either friends or coworkers as well as a great spot to get some work done. The food was delicious and tasted incredibly fresh, it hit all the right spots and had me wanting more. The coffee (they have medium and dark roast) is certainly something I'll be returning for in the future. Now it's story time: My friends and I were excited to try Edgar and Joe's $4 breakfast wrap and coffee promotion as we've heard great things about the cafe, but we've never had the opportunity to experience it ourselves. Unfortunately, on our way to the cafe one of our tires blew, which meant we weren't able to make it to the cafe in time before their breakfast meal promotion ended. We were quite upset with a blown tire and our breakfast plans all screwed up, so we called the cafe in a last ditch effort to save our crummy day. Crystal was extremely understanding and helpful; she may be one of the most personable workers I've had the pleasure of interacting with before. Not only did Crystal assure us that the cafe would serve us the breakfast special, but she even placed our orders in with a hold on them so that the food would be made fresh for us when we did finally arrive at the cafe. Without a doubt, Crystal's stellar service and kindness turned our day around and because of that we would not hesitate to recommend Edgar and Joe's Cafe to any of our family and friends. Thanks for all of your help Crystal! And thank you to the staff of Edgar and Joe's Cafe for being so incredibly accommodating, it made all the difference for us today.

This cafe has a really great atmosphere. The space is bright, modern and has plenty of seating. I got a vanilla bean latte which was amazing. My boyfriend got the big breakfast--the standard eggs, toast, bacon deal. He enjoyed it! I got the grilled cheese with bacon (a pretty hard dish to mess up) and it was great. The only qualm I had was with the side dish of rice and ketchup...I've never seen those things served together on the side of a grilled cheese, or any sandwich really, and it tasted very bland. Overall, we had an enjoyable experience and I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu. UPDATE (Mar 22): I've been to Edgar and Joe's countless times at this point, but I've literally stuck to the grilled cheese every time...until 2 days ago. I got the egg omelette sandwich on an everything bagel and I was really disappointed. There are no details about what's on the sandwich on the menu, and the toppings were very odd. There were wilted spinach and tomatoes on top instead of inside the omelette which made the texture kind of icky. It was very slimy. Also, they used a "lemon mayo," and A LOT of it. I couldn't tell what it was the whole time--I had to go up to the counter before I left to ask. I honestly thought it was tartar sauce. Anyway, it was not good. I was expecting a typical breakfast sandwich, so it's probably my bad for not asking for more details. Moral of the story: beware of this sandwich!!

Edgar and Joe's is one of my favourite places to grab breakfast in London! I always go for the classic breakfast which comes with 2 slices of toast, eggs of your choice (I get over easy), sausage or bacon and home fries (with potato and sweet potato). It's super simple but so so delicious! Along with the classic breakfast, I always grab a vanilla bean latte - I love it because it's nice and sweet, however it might not be suitable for somebody who likes their coffee strong. Edgar's and Joe's is extremely spacious and they have floor to ceiling windows so it's always nice and bright in there! Lastly, I think the best thing about Edgar and Joe's is how affordable it is - the classic breakfast is only $5.95 and leaves me full even past lunch! Not sure if this would be a deal breaker for anybody but they don't offer nonfat milk and instead only have 2% Also one last thing - they offer community coffees so make sure to purchase one if its within your budget!

I love the concept of the cafe and the café itself! It's an open space and brightly lit with natural light. I had the usual breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes and toast. The food was decent. I found the sausage interesting--it was a mini patty and not the usual breakfast sausage link. I liked that you can ask for a side of peanut butter and jam with the toast! I appreciate their reasonably priced menu, and I would definitely come back for brunch.

The almond milk latte $4.75. Not worth the $ in my opinion.

Loved the open concept design of this cafe. Very airy, with lots of natural lighting. Didn't get a chance to try the food but the menu options looked appetizing and reasonably priced. Enjoyed my iced coffee ($3 for a large). There is a lot of seating available, and a lot of free parking spots in the back (although when I came on a Tuesday afternoon, most of the spots were taken). Would recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, coffee or a study sesh. Update: dropped by a second time. Enjoyed my grilled veggie panini ($6). Would NOT recommend the latte w almond milk though. It comes w sweetened almond milk, and tastes like the instant coffee + almond milk drink I make at home (which is to say, tastes ok but not worth the $4.75).

    Chicken Roundhouse Wrap.

The food is yummy and the staff are friendly. I ordered a Chicken Roundhouse Wrap and it was tasty. The greens in the wrap are the mixed leafy type and it also had olives, cucumbers, pickles, and grilled chicken. The kitchen had a large order of brunch coming through a few tables and the wait for my wrap was about 15-20 minutes, from the first estimate of 5 minutes. I think the kitchen has sped up since they opened late last year and the quality of food is still as good. I'd visit again but when I have some more time for ordering and eating.

At first I was a bit withdrawn from entering this establishment. My little knowledge about it definitly didnt serve me very well as I learned what this place was about. The beautiful and classy atmosphere is not all that can be expected from this lovely little cafe. However as well top percentage in customer service and delicious food and beverage to go along with that. Comfort is also somthing this cute cafe has to offer. I may not be certain who joe is or where he is but i know where he, and everyone SHOULD BE

    Disgusting potato salad
    Tyler H.

Been here 3 times now and each time the quality seems to go down. I sadly have to update this review to reflect their poor quality. Their potato salad is by far the worst I have ever tasted. Their hash browns are soggy, and delapitated. The edgar burger was a dissapointing let down. The patty was a dry flavorless mess. This place sucks now!

this was such a delish dish ever i had the honey ham penni and it was to die for. the bread was toasted to perfection the honey mustard was so sharp and yummy. The cold pasta salad was seasoned awesomely tbe place was clean and decor was simple but elagant. was a great price for this meal. you are able to have a conversation with who you are with and not have to yell will most defently return :)

    Coffee!

Surprised I have not done a review of this place. It is one of my favourites. Today i ordered the Egg Nog Latte and a Soho Omelette. As usual there was plenty of food for the $7 plate. 2 pieces of brown bread, fried hashrowns containing potatoes/yams and a large omelette with cheese, ham etc. Even though the place was literally jammed, our food was out quickly. It was hot and tasty. Popular with non-profits for meetings, Edgar and Joes is a socially conscious business using local food even sourcing London's own Las Chicas coffee. You cannot go wrong with an All Day Breakfast Menu!

We stopped here for lunch while waiting for a meeting. The foods are unexpectedly delicious! We ordered Edgar burger, cheese burger, and panini, and coffee! Everything is fresh and tasty!

Overall, it was just an ok experience for me. These wings that were recommended were baked and not fried. As one previous reviewer stated, it's hard to keep sauce on naked wings. I went with KLB Raspberry Wheat as a beverage. Although it was in a can, it was pretty good. For the wings, I honestly cant remember what sauce I got. I guess that shows how memorable it was. So, yeah. They were just a basic plain chicken wing. I did opt for some dessert, as I am one to not turn down a tiramisu. Now, this, was excellent. Top notch! On a side note, a co-worker was sitting next to me, and he got the meatloaf and said it was excellent. Maybe I should have gotten that? Nah, I am very particular to meatloaf. But anyway, I would probably go back.

I started off with a kyoto fog, which was a matcha green tea, while my boyfriend got a mocha macchiato. We came here to study, but the tables are quite tiny, so we ended up moving to a long table against the wall for some more room. There is free wifi as well, so feel free to ask for that. All the employees are extremely kind. The place stayed pretty busy throughout lunch hours. We ended up ordering crepes as a snack. The batter is a little crispier than I'm used to, and I would've loved to see some savoury options, but the banana crepe was delicious with triple chocolate and peanut butter ice cream and a generous amount of whip cream. I look forward to seeing how this shop develops, as it has a great deal of potential.

Now that they've changed over to a cafe style themselves and since I was watching a friend's cats in the neighbourhood it was the perfect excuse to pop on in. The narrow space is lined on one side with a wooden counter and a row of stools while the other has shelves lined with ready to go packaged tea in what seems like an endless variety. The narrow space reminded me strangely of record stores of yesteryear. Yes, I'm aware vinyl is back and trendy once more but this is something only us old folks will likely get a vibe of. Anyways I knew that I wanted a black tea as that was the variety that I was currently out of stock at home. With a taste profile in mind I was greeted shortly after entering and told the young woman what I was looking for, she introduced me to a few I hadn't had before but once she hit me with the maple I was sold! It was exactly the thing I was looking for. She also informed me they made a gelato out of it. Umm...what? HELLO!! So of course I had to get that too and let me tell you I could have cried it was that good! I took my purchases to go as well as a lovely Iced Thai tea, for those who have never had it you must like a strong black tea flavour to fully enjoy it (which I do!) Guess my only con was while trying to enjoy my gelato on their patio before heading off I was sort of sketched out by some of surrounding going-ons (so not their fault!). That said it was still worth the visit and I will be back to try the crepes which several people were ordering as I was there and looked amazing... I'll reserve the last star for that to see if they are as good as they looked.
