We were made to wait outside for 10 minutes and then given the same empty table we asked if we could have when we arrived 2. when seated we waited for 10-15 minutes 3. Water was brought - in greasy dirty glasses (the table around us sent theirs back as well) 4. When food arrived only half of it was there and no cutlery 5. Cutlery arrived with Egg and other food debris on it. 6. The table around us experienced all the same things..... 7. When we told our waiter he said "Hang on I will do something about this" 8. 10 minutes later our FULL bill for almost 50.00 was brought to us with our food barley touched. Quality and integrity has declined since the sale of this fine establishment. Where is all the great wait staff that used to work there as well. An Unsatisfied Customer

We sat patiently with water for 15-20 mins until someone said they'd be with us soon. Iced latte was just foam and milk and no ice since it sat for a while before being brought to the table, the avocado toast had so much spread on it the bread was soggy and not very edible. Pancake and the Elvis 10/10! No one came to check on us, we tried to grab someone's attn and after a bit our waitress stopped by, cleared our table, I asked for more syrup and it was ice cold when delivered to the table, but hey, I guess it happens. This review is such a Karen review but damn, everyone hyped early bird up and it just shit the bed with the awkward/lack of customer service, it felt like they didn't want us there.

South St. Burger is alright; though if you're from anywhere with a great burger culture you will be…read moredisappointed! So the most disappointing part about moving to London has been the lack of a really great burger place. Some folks like another location downtown, though I felt it was not at all what you are made to expect. What is weird is I easily think South St. Burger is the best burger joint in the city... and it's a chain. So yeah call me a bad burger aficionado or whatever, but trust me - I'm from ranching country and know a good burger. This is the best I have seen so far. Admittedly the indoors are cool (though of course not something you can really enjoy during the pandemic). The staff were a low light to be honest. The manager seems to under support their team, and you will often find the person that is doing the till also making the food. This makes things slow... and possibly unhygienic (though thats beyond my own abilities to understand). They also tried to upsell us on several add-ons, and presented them as free options. That was pretty disingenuous. The food itself was pretty solid. The patty not overcooked nor drowned in sauce (cough cough... I see you other 'better' burger joint in London... cough). The buns were nice, with just the right amount of fresh-crisp! We got fries to share each time, because they are larger at least for us, and they were relatively solid, if nothing to write home about. Honestly, this place is not that much more expensive than a burger dinner for two at McDonalds, and is easily a better option. And McDonalds is not the best comparison for quality, because again, the local burger shack downtown doesn't hold a candle to what we had here. It's kind of just worth mentioning - don't move here if you love burgers. You'll be sad. Very sad.

Even after sitting on platter as we ate slowly over 30 min... still excellent. If I were choosing one app this would be it. The shrimp were exceptionally good. I'd be glad to eat them all alone as an app... one of the best. Mozzarella sticks, onion rings, mini spring rolls, garlic cheese bread and potato skins were good. Would not be disappointed if I didn't taste everything else. But not great The wings are prepared very crispy with lots of batter, cooked right. But the "medium" sauce is quite mild and very sweet. Two big men left satisfied after sharing the platter as our meal so portions are good. 5 sauces were fun. Staff were very friendly. Just so busy.
