Absolutely outstanding fish and chips. One nice thing about this establishment you can order almost any type of fish. From Whitefish , cod fish haddock fish or filet of Soul Fish., or halibut fish. My wife and I favour the two-piece haddock fish and chips comes with a small coleslaw and is $10. Their coleslaw is absolutely fantastic I always get a large side of coleslaw. I was a bit disappointed after reading all of the great reviews and not having the same experience. We are from out of town and got take out. I got the haddock and chips and my husband got halibut and chips. The reviews all said the portions were huge - they were not but they were tasty. In fact, the portion of fries was smaller than I've ever had at a fish & chips joint. The fish was very good but small, thin pieces. The service was fast. read more

My friend and I visited the truck and opted for the Club House Sandwich with French Fries last week. This man does not disappoint!! Everything on the sandwich was fresh and delicious, and the man does not skimp on any of the ingredients including the chicken and the mmm mmmm bacon!! The icing on the cake - the owner recommended we wait in our car due to the frigid temperature, and he delivered our orders right to the car! One of the most positive experiences I've had in a long time and the best Club House Sandwich I've ever had! I was suggested by my parents to try the fish & chips out in kitchener area. Its halibut is absolute tasty. The price for two pieces of halibut and fries is around 9 dollars. Really like definite one of the best fish and chips I have ever had. read more

It is our first time at King Fish & Chips after reading reviews. We went early due to the limited parking concerns. Reviews were correct there is very limited parking at the rear off Borden St. The place is not fancy & not very big so I'm sure there are times there will be a line up for seating. It is a family run restaurant, friendly, & clean even though it is in an old house environment. There are several choices for fish, cod, halibut, haddock, & pollock, we had the cod. It was nicely battered & cooked right. The chips were fresh cut & fair quantity. We had an order of onion rings to start & they arrived quickly. For the price the quantity of food was excellent & quality very good. We will go back again wether eat in or take-out. Hungry for the best fish n chips EVER? Look no further! This shop is a blessing to have in our neighbourhood!! We waited for a good restaurant to open here years ago and they came and we couldn't be happier! It's not expensive and you can feed a big family for under 30$. I have been twice to King Fish and Chips only for HALIBUT AND FRIES and can say the quality has been consistently good. No fishy taste. Fries are generous. Size if fish has been adequate, the cost for one halibut and fries is about $11 + with tax. read more

Seriously the BEST Fish and Chips in K-W bar none. This is a small neighbourhood restaurant, nothing fancy, but clean and pleasant. Eat in or take out. There are three choices of fish, whitefish, cod and halibut in 2 sizes, plus wonderful breaded shrimp that are just gorgeous, large and tender. The pieces of fish are large and lightly battered English style. They are accompanied by a very large portion of fresh and delicious fries and a small coleslaw. The service is great - friendly and fast, and all cooking and serving is by the owners themselves. They have a very loyal following of customers. As for prices - wow - $7.99 buys you a huge plate of 2 very large cod fish filets, fries and coleslaw. We always have to ask for a takeout box! No kidding - for the best in fish and chips you have to try this little gem in Kitchener. They also have lunch specials. Go early - they close at 7 p.m. Mon to Thursday and are open until 8 pm on Fridays. This is the fish and chip bargain of the century. :-) Enjoy! read more
