Yared showed up within twenty minutes, navigated his truck into my parking garage, and started my car in minutes. Since I didn't have time to drive my car around to extend my battery or go get my battery charged, he was able to replace my battery within another few minutes. I've read the reviews here of Yared, and he sounds amazing. I wish I'd gotten THAT Yared. Instead, I got a rude jerk that could barely be bothered to do his job. What's this "above and beyond" stuff I'm reading about? Dude barely hit the bar. I'm graciously giving him three stars because be showed up and jumped my battery, which is basically bare minimum. I'm not going to fawn over that. I had questions and he just brushed them off before shoving a clipboard in my face. This guy was so awful to be around, I briefly wondered if stealing cars would be easier than dealing with his horrible attitude. Seriously, buy yourself a portable jump starter, keep a spare tire on hand, learn to Flintstones it ... anything's better than dealing with this douche canoe. I find it odd that most of his reviews are so glowing. Then I checked the "Not Recommended" reviews and found one by Desdemona that rang true to my experience with him. It was a valid review. Why was it buried? Hiding that was incredibly misleading. As a woman, I want to know if the mechanic that's supposed to help me has a history of being crappy to women. Why is her experience any less valid than all the other "satisfied customers"? This is shady AF. read more

Over the past few years, I've had multiple dealings with Yared's Road Service after having left town for months at a time and needing a jump start upon my return. Yared is awesome! I've had a lot of trouble this year with my car and have had to use AAA 3 times to tow to the mechanic a block away. The previous tow driver belittled me and was grumpy. The guy before that was good, but nothing to write home about. But Yared! Apparently, he lives nearby and he will be my new go-to. Before hooking my car up, he tried to get it working - something the other tow-drivers hadn't done. He tried 3 different methods to attempt to start my engine (sadly, no luck, but thank you Yared for trying to save me money) and was friendly and easy to talk to. My boyfriend hopped in the vehicle and Yared was really good at giving clear instructions. Plus, he definitely didn't have to, but he was very complimentary (ex. Bolt was broken that connected Battery to grounding. How did that happen??? My battery unexpectedly 'died' while I was trying to mail a package. Yared showed up within 30min of calling AAA and he was incredibly professional, helpful, and efficient. Turns out that the battery wasn't secured after getting it replaced (ahem, O'Reilly Auto Parts) and it de-lodged itself from the connections. Yared talked us through his step-by-step reasoning, checked my battery's lifespan, and even cleaned off the corrosion with his own personal water bottle. It was a quick 10min fix but I'm certain that if another company came out they wouldn't have seen the problem right away nor cared as much as Yared. AAA called this place to tow my car to garage. The driver refused. He told me he would follow me but not tow. Then he said he'd do it at "my convenience" meaning I would have to pay, not AAA. He had jump started my car so he would not tow it. I called AAA back to sort it out in the meantime he left. When I tried to drive my car it died again. Luckily aaa is getting another tow truck driver from me. The bad news: my car died. The good news: It was home in my driveway. I called AAA. Within an hour Mr. Yared Tesema arrived, opened the hood, checked the battery (I had replaced it at Les Schwab a month ago), declared the battery healthy, then pointed out that said battery had been installed incorrectly, was not bolted down and the cable had come loose. He fixed it for me. He even drove off to a parts shop to pick up a portion of the cable that needed replacing. There are plenty of difficult people in the world. Mr Tesema is not one of them. I had a special situation since the car was non working and our parking lot was behind the apartment building. Smaller street led to the parking lot and no one would come to get this car out of my lot. The guy that came via AAA service saved the day! He tested to see if it was the battery or starter. After determining it was the starter he asked me to give him a small push ( down hill ) and it was out in a jiffy. He hooked it up to the town truck and I couldn't thank him enough for helping me out. This is the only one who went the extra mile to take care of me.
