I hadn't been here in a while, so a friend and I decided to have brunch. We lucked out and there was no wait. My friend had the Cubano sandwich and it looked delicious. I had the Breakfast Burrito with scrambled eggs, chorizo, avocado, salsa, and sour cream. Perfection! And the best breakfast potatoes. Clean and open. There is seating inside and out. Service is amazing. Located in the heart of Kendall Yards. Close to shopping and the trail with on street parking or paid parking in the lot behind the restaurant (lot is free on the weekends).

A Spokane Gem in Kendall Yards! The Yards is one of those rare places that just gets it right--from the food to the vibe to the kindness of the staff. I came here with a friend who was visiting someone in the hospital, and even though we were in a bit of a rush, the experience was unforgettable. I ordered the Brunch Bowl and wow--what a game changer. The jasmine rice with green goddess dressing, crispy potatoes, kale, mushrooms, avocado, pickled onions... it was like a flavor explosion in the best way. Every bite was balanced and thoughtful. My friend had the Full Breakfast with sourdough toast and couldn't stop raving about it. The bacon was smoky and crisp, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the potatoes were golden and seasoned just right. The atmosphere is cozy but open--the tables are spaced out enough that you can actually have a real conversation without yelling over the next table. And the location? Right in the heart of Kendall Yards across from the Highline building, so you can walk off brunch with a stroll, browse some local shops, or even catch a Pilates class. What really stood out though was the service. Our server--who may have even been the owner--was so kind, patient, and calm even though the place was busy. That kind of care makes a place feel like home. If you're in Spokane and looking for a place to brunch that feels both elevated and down-to-earth, this is it. We'll definitely be back.

This place was so cute inside! A dinner feel but more modern. I felt like the green goddess Benedict was going to be a little weird but I wanted to try it and I loved the sweet flavor. The potato's were coated perfect - crunchy with good seasoning! The pork and sweet potato was delicious and had so much flavor.

A nice breakfast this morning. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was quite good as well, met my expectations of a typical American breakfast style meal. I would happily come back again !

Really enjoyed my meal here! Came by on a Sunday morning at around 9AM and had a 5-10 min. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which came on a croissant bun which loved! Although it looked small when it came out it was hearty and filled me up. Potatoes on the side were great too. I needed something sweet so we also ordered the banana bread and the pecan butter it came with was to die for! Overall would highly recommend breakfast here.

After checking in on Saturday morning around 10:45am there was a 30min wait. Not a problem! Great area to walk around and window shop. The Yards Bruncheon is definitely a favorite local and tourist breakfast hot spot! JT was our server and helped out with suggestions and made it super easy for us! We ordered the: Chicken and waffles Three cheese omelette Yards burger The ambience is warm, lively and energetic! Clean medium size restaurant with a-lot of windows and natural light coming in. Great food! Great service! Nothing bad to say!! Would recommend and will be back if we're ever in the area again!

The food was delicious. The tables are huge so plenty of room to lay all your plates out. Friendly service. This place is a must try.

Came here for breakfast a week ago. We really enjoyed our food. I guess they are known for their donuts but you have to have a sweet tooth for them. They were definitely delicious but a little too sweet for me. My latte was also too sweet for me. Other than that we enjoyed our meals. It's a cute spot too. I love the decor and style of the place.

    actual State Law

My husband and I visited this breakfast restaurant and waited over 20 minutes before anyone even greeted us. When a server finally approached, we were told we had to throw away our iced coffees due to a supposed Washington State Health Code violation prohibiting outside beverages. The server left so abruptly that we didn't even have the chance to explain that this is not actually true. We waited another 15 minutes without being helped, so we finally approached a server and the manager ourselves. The server then told us that the manager had instructed staff not to serve us until we disposed of our drinks. This kind of treatment is both unacceptable and disappointing. We calmly informed them that there is no such state law prohibiting outside non-alcoholic beverages, but the manager responded by raising their voice and insisting it was. This experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.

This is such a good breakfast/brunch spot! Parking is easy and the ambiance is great. They also have a nice outdoor seating area. I got the Eggs Benedict (with sausage instead of Canadian bacon) and yummmm they did it right! The sauce was very flavorful and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The potatoes were not to be overlooked!! I feel like sometimes the side potatoes are always playing second fiddle and can be lame. Not here!! They are perfectly crispy and the seasoning was amazing! We also split their banana bread. Such a thick slice with such cozy flavor. Highly recommend!

Busy diner, great offerings, efficient service -I'm so glad we waited the 40 minutes to enjoy these flavorful dishes. Time was tight so we were ready to order as soon as we were seated. It worked out well and out food came out quickly. Pros - AM fried rice with fried eggs on top- I like this bc it's not your usual brunch dish. I didn't taste the kimchi as much but bonus points for a creative offering. - spinach and goat cheese Benedict -clean bathrooms The chorizo and egg tacos were good but lacked flavor . 3 stars.

Honestly, Wooden City really lives up to its hype. It's an upscale spot right in downtown Spokane,…read morebut still feels warm and lively instead of overly formal. Definitely one of the best-quality restaurants in the city, where every dish was thoughtfully made and packed with flavor. What we ordered: Starters: - Spring Salad: Super fresh and well-balanced. The snap peas were crisp, with strawberries added for sweetness, and the goat cheese + pistachios gave it a creamy, nutty contrast. The lemon & tarragon vinaigrette tied everything together with a light, herby flavor. - Jerk Cauliflower: Crunchy cauliflower with Caribbean spices with a creamy jerk sauce, good as a side Appetizers: - Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp: Really juicy and spicy from the Cajun spice. There's butter to dip in but I found it too greasy and prefer lemon instead. - Blistered Hungarian Peppers: Smoky pepper with some sweetness and savory from the sausage and cheddar. Served with a toasted focaccia that soak up all the sauce. Main dishes: - Chicken Schnitzel: One of the must-orders. Crispy, golden breading, super tender inside. The lemon & caper butter sauce added acidity and richness that elevated the whole dish. Yoy have to order extra because it's never enough for the table. Yes, it's that good. - Marbled Duroc Pork Chop: Another favorite . Juicy and tender, with 'nduja salsa brava bringing a spicy depth, while lemon tahini and marcona almonds added creaminess and crunch. I always missed tasting this dish like my first time - Beet Ravioli: Earthy and slightly sweet flavor, nice texture but I hate goat cheese so I'm not really a fan of this dish - Pesto Bacon Pizza: Delicious crunch, loved the combo of mozzarella and gorgonzola, kind of creamy with a bit of funk. Balsamic do help balance and gave it a sweet tangy flavor, or else it would be too heavy for me (yes, not a pizza fan) Drinks & Dessert - Not Mai Tai mocktail: very aesthetically looking drink, but a bit too sweet to my liking - Apple crisp: cozy and warm, with baked apple & pecan crumble and served with vanilla ice cream on top. Delicious ice cream. - Pumpkin cheesecake: My 3rd favorite of the night, I still dream about it!! Rich, smooth, and perfectly spiced, you shouldn't skip this!!! That said, I do have to take away a couple points for timing. Our foods took 45 mins to come out even though I had reservations and note the menu items via the email, and the wait time between each dish was also... very confusing. It broke the flow of our meal. But once the food hit the table, it was hard to stay mad, so I forgave them.

I feel like I just went to a dress rehearsal about a play about a group of friends who got together…read moreand said "How about we open a restaurant? That would be fun!" Tonight was just so strange. First, I had no idea who was an employee. There were two girls that were going around together over and over, they kept stopping at tables so I think they worked there...but they never had anything in their hands. Our server seemed to keep forgetting we were there. Or just forgetting she was employed in general. Seriously just not with it. She was very nice...when she remembered we were there. I will say the pizza crust tasted amazing. So many places that serve pizza think of the crust as just something to put toppings on, but this had great flavor. Sadly, it was rolled too thin and said toppings made it somewhat soggy. Caesar salad was ok. Romaine was really fresh and crisp and the homemade croutons were still a little warm. Very good. However, the dressing was rather bland. And when I asked for pepper for it, our waitress first had it in her head that I expected some kind of peppers on my salad. When she finally understood I meant black pepper, she went away. Eventually she returned. Not with a pepper grinder or a shaker, but a sauce bowl that had about 3 tablespoons of black pepper in it. I wouldn't use that much pepper if I cooked for myself for a week and used it with every dish. Had to ask for knives for some of people's meals. I will say the spicy lamb rigatoni was amazing, pasta just right and the sauce and flavor was peak. I am just not sure what to say, other than this was the strangest and most disorganized dining experience I have ever had. I think if a grown up showed up and brought the kids into line, this place would be amazing. Also, for what we paid, I expected to be wowed, not left wondering what I just experienced.

Started off with a Perfect Peach & Huckleberry Lemonade Mimosas that were divine! The chicken and biscuit was a winner but be prepared for the food coma afterwards- worth every bite! Their fried chicken is perfectly seasoned and moist. I'm glad we shared the chicken sandwich because it would have been too much , too sweet, on its own.
