I recently visited Yard House for a mommy-and-son date before heading to see Toy Story 5, and it turned into one of those memories I'll cherish. I've been to this location several times, and it's always one of my favorite places to eat at the Rio Lakefront. The atmosphere is lively without feeling overwhelming, making it a great spot whether you're out with friends, on a date, or spending quality one-on-one time with your kids. This visit, I ordered one of my favorite combination, the Brussels sprouts with the garlic noodles. It's one of my go-to meals (right alongside their veggie burger), and it never disappoints. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly cooked with so much flavor, and the garlic noodles were just as delicious as I remembered. My eight-year-old ordered the kids' cheese pizza, and he absolutely loved it. It was the perfect meal before our movie and made our little outing even more special. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Great service always enhances the experience, and she definitely did just that. We dined here on a Thursday afternoon. The weather was lovely so we were seated immediately outside on their patio. We were the only ones out there. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. Our order included Buffalo Wings (very messy but good), Bacon Cheeseburger (ordered medium well but was rather pink inside) and the Brussels Sprouts and Kale salad which was amazing (added grilled shrimp). Several other reviews have mentioned wait times for tables especially on weekends/evenings. I'm a fan of Yard House! I recently visited this location for happy hour. It was a beautiful spring day so everyone was out. The adjacent parking lot was full so I ended up parking in the garage which wasn't bad because I was able to walk around the lakefront. Initially I sat at the bar while I waited for other folks in my group to arrive. Service at the bar by Gerry was great. He was attentive and friendly. I ordered sliders which on happy hour is 50% off! That's a great deal for four sliders with fries. Not my first time here but probably the best. Decided to stop for dinner on Memorial Day and was able to take advantage of the happy hour deals. Not pictured is the Poke nachos and Brussels that were delicious as always. I opted for the Lobster Garlic Noodles and it was so tasty. But the best part was the service. Timothy, our server, was TOP TIER! He was so efficient and just overall extremely kind! It was such a pleasant dining experience. Recommend asking for Tim when you dine (Friday-Monday closings is when he's there). The manager on duty was also great. Yard House is an amazing sports bar. I have been to the RIO location countless of times. The servers are top-tier - knowledgeable, personable and always bring positive energy. Food comes out faster these days and there are plenty of options (I recommend the Korean flavored wings and the nachos for appetizers). Also, I tried the Maui Pineapple Chicken today, and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor profile: juicy chicken, sweet sauce and tanginess of the pineapple, and spicy rice, which complements eachother. Very well thought-out and healthy. 4 Stars My Go-To Spot! Yard House is one of my favorite places, especially for Happy Hour. My go-to is always the classic sliders you really can't go wrong with them. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and just the right size. The fries are a classic side that never disappoints. One dish I surprisingly fell in love with is the garlic shiitake mushroom noodles. I tried it on a whim and it quickly became one of my favorites. I usually customize it by adding veggies or meat to make it a more complete meal highly recommend doing that! As for drinks, I'm all about a good dirty martini, and the bartenders here nail it every time. Big shoutout to John behind the bar he always serves me with a smile and knows I like my martinis with blue cheese-stuffed olives. Yard House has been the greatest find as a vegan with a 1 year old. The menu is amazing, the staff is so accommodating to my baby, and my husband and I have yet to have a less than 5-star experience here. Our favorite time to go to Yard House is on Sunday mornings at 11am. The manager on duty is so unbelievably kind to my daughter. I hope she is appropriately recognized for going above and beyond in making the guests feel welcomed and attended to. My daughter sits in a highchair, and the manager moved out a piece on the floor of the table to help make sure my daughter was as close as possible to the table and had an easier time reaching her food. She also offered to bring avocado slices or a little snack from the kitchen for my daughter to enjoy. She was so attentive to our family. I usually feel nervous bringing my daughter to a business and this manager made us feel welcome to come back again and again. I thank her kindness and hospitality so much! All the employees in general are so kind to my daughter and have made it clear Yard House is a family friendly business. My husband and I cannot believe how vegan friendly the menu is! We also love that they have a touchscreen menu at each table which has an option to only highlight vegan items. We use that to when making our orders to ensure we do not forget to ask for a sauce to not be included and get everything right. Our favorite thing to order is the Gardein wings with buffalo sauce and no ranch. The sauce is spicy, the portion size is great, and the wings are cooked perfectly! We also get an order of fries on the side which we share with my daughter. The newest vegan item that we tried are Gardein nachos with vegan cheese! These nachos are FANTASTIC! They are so flavorful, the portion size is more than enough to share between 2 people, and the cheese melts perfectly. This item is not on the vegan menu and the Chef was happy to custom make this item for us. We are so happy to have a family tradition of visiting Yard House on Sundays. I have always been a fan of The Rio. It's always been worth the drive from Southern Maryland. Today was no different. E'rything went well for our monthly siblings lunch today. We had a GREAT server (Thanks, Donovan for your uber professional service!). As you see in the pics, this Yard House location is modern and clean. I love their huge bar and expansive beer taps. It's like an upscale brewery. The burgers (bbq/bacon, truffle cheese and blue cheese/bacon) were all awesome. We actually have no complaints about the wings, beers, Tito's and Jameson shots, or the salads. I wasn't a fan of the onion rings - they could have been a lil crispier; the spinach dip was a lil bland and the calamari was overdone. NOT a deal breaker tho' ... their menu is HUGE so there's plenty of other options for next time. How did I never realize just how popular this place is?! It was packed to the brim, but still no wait time! I love how you can order and pay on the little screen, making it super convenient especially since the waiters must be super busy. It took a while to get plates and utensils, but don't let that stop you, food comes out fast! Drinks a bit slower... I came here for happy hour and it has become my favorite place. Their poke nachos are sooo good. Its a perfect balance to the other heavy appetizers. I loved their lemon pepper wings, but wish they had a bit more seasoning. Boneless wings were super juicy and a bit more flavorful than their classic wings, even though we got the same flavors. Miguels queso dip was a bit too heavy for me and wish they had more chips instead of tortillas. Their pizzas are delicious as well, the buffalo chicken is a bit too breaded but still great, and omg their mushroom one is the best- bit creamy with mushroom flavor shining through. I basically had to double park and block a row of cars for my curbside order per their instruction. The staff brought my food out with minimal wait time. I went to Yard House in Rio Maryland today. I got there at 1:15pm and left at 1:34pm February 14, 2026 sitting at the bar. The bartender who was a black guy passed in front of me at least 15 times and did not serve me. I have been at that location at least a 100 times. This was an awful experience. I left and let the front desk know. I have spent a lot of money at that location. I will never eat at Yard House again. They do not deserve my business. I go to World of Beer and they always have a great service and the food is even better. World of Beer has a reward program too saving you money. Yard House is a bad choice. My Mom got a Cheeseburger with Fries and it came with a salty smoky super yummy Soy Aioli type sauce which we got on the side and I used it vs mustard on her Fries - super good as was the Burger & Fries.
