Came on a Friday for happy hour and got seated pretty quickly. It did get pretty packed towards the end of the happy hour time frame though, and the extra food we ordered did take a bit longer to come out. There was a world cup game going on at the time so it was a chill place to eat and watch the game Poke nachos: 5/5 def a popular favorite for a reason. Would wanna try the chicken nachos next time though since they looked pretty good Margherita: 4/5 decent pizza Spinach artichoke dip: 2/5 didn't love this, wouldn't order it again Haven't had too much of the other food here before but I'd prob only come back for the happy hour

We had such a great experience at Yard House! We came in to celebrate my birthday with my husband, our toddler & my husband's brother. Our baby was sleeping during our visit & it was such a nice family outing. From the moment we sat down, our server Jessica was amazing. She was friendly, attentive & made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Great service really makes a difference & she definitely helped make our visit special. We started by ordering through the tablet at the table which was super convenient. Our margherita pizza came out quickly & it was delicious! I also ordered the watermelon margarita with a sugar rim instead of salt & it was so good. It's definitely one of my favorites. My husband enjoyed his stout beer & our family also got a Shirley Temple & chocolate milk. For appetizers, we tried the onion ring tower which was such a fun presentation. The onion rings were crispy & came with both spicy ranch & regular ranch. We also ordered the boneless wings with the sauces on the side so we could try different flavors. The spicy Korean chili sauce had a nice kick especially paired with the ranch & the barbecue sauce was sweet, tangy & had a little bit of a kick too. The chicken itself was really good! For our meal, my husband & I shared the whiskey Swiss burger (with mushrooms & Swiss cheese) & it was amazing. The flavors went so well together & the sweet potato fries were honestly some of my favorite. They were so good that they were still delicious the next day! Of course, we had to finish with dessert & our daughter loved her Oreo sundae. She was so excited & it was the perfect treat to end the meal. We have actually been to Yard House before & have always enjoyed it. On a previous visit, we tried their kids cheese pizza, margherita pizza with extra cheese, barbecue chicken salad & the poke nachos. The barbecue chicken salad was really flavorful & the poke nachos were a fun first time try for my husband. I also love the watermelon margarita so much that I got it again! Overall, Yard House continues to be a great spot for a family meal, celebrations & trying different dishes. Great food, fun drinks & excellent service from Jessica made this birthday visit one to remember. We will definitely be back!

Honestly I've only had the HH menu here but it is so good and worth. Pro tip for the chicken nachos you can ask them to sub fries (frachos). I like chips though so we got both. Huge portion and it's half off. I personally like the poke nachos over better. The boneless wings were surprisingly moist and crispy. Calamari/pizza was standard. Blackened ahi tuna was okay. Brusselsprouts had this spicy glaze which was really good. Beers and cocktails also on discount. Tons of variety. I like their cocktail selection. Service was great and they had the World Cup games on. You can also order HH stuff on iPad which makes it super quick. Large space and surprisingly fit us 6 people quickly. We came at 4p but by 5p there was a line.

We were in town for a conference at Vanguard University and were encouraged to eat here... And we pass on the recommendation! The staff were friendly and efficient... Our order was filled correctly and the food came very quickly and was streaming hot and delicious! There were sports playing on all the tvs which are visible from most seats. Amazingly, the noise level was moderate... Tvs were muted, thankfully!

Got the opportunity to stop in at this location for the Yard House. The insides are nice and clean, and the service chair was excellent. I tried to whiskey, glazed salmon and let me tell you that was very good. He came out and well prepared. If you're looking for somewhere for a great dinner or lunch, this is a place to go for sure.

Yard House has some great deals for Happy Hour if you can be there before 6:00 pm during the week. I had the chicken lettuce wraps and the sliders and they both were good. However, I think the sliders was a great deal since they come with fries and four (4) sliders. Chicken lettuce wraps was decent but I've had it better somewhere else. And it is a very small portion. It's an appetizer! :)

My friends & I stopped by for happy hour. Great deals for their appetizers/pizza & alc beverages! The restaurant was quite spacious and was lively during the time we visited. Service was just okay. The drinks were a tad strong but were all good selections. We were all satisfied with the food that we ordered and especially liked the calamari, margarita pizza, and the poké nachos!

This isn't my first time here. I have been many times. Finally decided to do a review. There a a gazillion beers. They do beer well. As they should. There are a ton of TV's. The food is like... bar food, but more variety. They do have this lovely ahi tuna stack, which feels kinda somewhat healthy. Our bartender was David, he gave a few littles samples of other beers similar to what we got. Super cool and helpful. It's kinda dim inside and perfect for sports watching. It's great for what it is. Just come with those expectations.

Yard house usually never misses and this one is no exception. Food is great quality, good service, and dimmed atmosphere in the nice area adds to the existing good environment. The one thing that I never got here was their mules, and they are absolutely great. Ended up getting the strawberry and the Hawaiian and theyre made just fantastically

We came to Yard House in Costa Mesa specifically to watch the Mexico vs. South Korea World Cup match, and unfortunately the experience was incredibly disappointing. The game initially started with the Spanish broadcast, which made sense considering the overwhelming majority of guests were there supporting Mexico. After it was switched to English due to complaints from a few tables, many of us at the bar asked if it could be switched back. The bartenders, Julio and Nev, were fantastic, they listened, advocated for us, and repeatedly checked with management. Unfortunately, they were told no. When we spoke with the manager, Jennifer, her solution was simply to turn the audio off completely. That didn't feel like a compromise, it felt like everyone lost. We even suggested playing the second half in Spanish as a fair middle ground, but she refused, saying it was a "lose-lose situation." Whether intentional or not, the way this was handled left many of us feeling dismissed. It was hard not to feel that the preferences of the predominantly Mexican fan base in the restaurant were treated as less important. The atmosphere completely changed, and what should have been an exciting World Cup experience became frustrating. The only reason I'm not giving one star is because Julio and Nev were exceptional. They were friendly, professional, and genuinely tried to help despite having no authority to make the decision. They deserve recognition for doing everything they could. Unfortunately, poor management overshadowed what could have been a great experience.

I'm so sorry I can't recall our server's name but she was fantastic! !! They allowed us to book a reservation for our group earlier this week just before Christmas Eve. Even when we adjusted the count, they allowed our change to a smaller group a couple hours before our reservation at 6pm. Parked below and the elevators and stairwells are accessible to the top floor to reach Yard House. Be aware there is some construction going on (I think it was the 2nd floor). Every person who helped our table, from the hostess to their table staff, amazing service during a stressful holiday event dinner for our work. It's been ages since I've been back to Yard House and I'd forgotten how delicious everything is! Great appetizers, fantastic entrees, just an awesome experience all around. Thank you for their wonderful staff.

I went to Yard House for happy hour, and I have to say,it's usually one of my go-to spots. All of my past experiences have been A+, which is why this visit stood out a bit differently. When we arrived, we were seated right away, and the host was very kind. The restaurant was clean and clearly ready for the dinner crowd. As soon as we sat down, our server Angel came over and asked if we knew what drinks we wanted before we even had a chance to look at the menu. At first, I thought, "Wow, he's on it," but his attitude felt a bit off-putting (giving) like he might have been having a rough day. I wasn't ready to order yet, but my partner was. As he started placing his order, Angel walked away mid-conversation, which caught us off guard. We brushed it off and placed our food order through the kiosk at the table. Angel later returned, acknowledged the order, and took our drink requests. Our food came out fairly quickly, we ordered the fried calamari (10/10), which was excellent, and Miguel's queso dip with added beef (10/10), which was so delicious. About halfway through our appetizers, we realized we still hadn't received our drinks. We flagged down another server, Quinn, who stepped in to help. It turned out our drinks had never been placed. Quinn quickly took care of it, and I ordered the Hawaiian Mule (10/10), which was refreshing and really tasty. Quinn ended up taking care of us for the rest of the visit and definitely turned the experience around; he was attentive and made sure everything was handled. Yard House is still a great spot for happy hour, watching a game, or going out with a group. While this visit had a hiccup with service, the food and overall atmosphere still make it a place I'd come back to.

wow what a deal this was! after hearing about the happy hour deal on social media, we had to stop by as we are suckers for happy hour and saving money. for apps, we went with the calamari and poke nachos, and for entrees, we ordered the carnivore and truffled mushroom pizza, and boneless wings. cant forget about the beers so we did 2 half yards and 3 extra pints. the beer selection at yard house is super extensive so we had to take advantage. the food was all pretty good quality, i was surprised that i enjoyed it all so much! and the 4 of us were overly stuffed and only spent less than $25 per person for a full dinner and lots of beers with leftovers to take home. the service was also amazing! our waiters were incredibly friendly and checked up on us frequently and for how busy the restaurant was at the hour, everything came out promptly. we dined outside on the patio since we had our dog with us but beware that the area does tend to fill up quick as there aren't too many tables outside but there was plenty of seating inside as well. 10/10 recommend happy hour here! we will definitely be back :)

Ask the Community - Yard House

    Is there a rooftop?

No, but there is a small outside patio area with room for maybe 10-20 people at small square tables. And the restaurant is on the second level at the Triangle.

Hi there, is your restaurant Yard House Costa Mesa still open and what are the exact opening and closing times as well as the last order for food at night (for every day of the week). I do not seem to be able to connect to your website for some reas?

Hey, Patrick! Yes. We are open Sunday - Thursday 11AM to 12AM with food last call at 11:30PM and Friday + Saturday 11AM to 12:30AM with food last call at 12AM.

Hey Juliette! We actually don't take reservations at our Costa Mesa location. It is first come, first served.

It's a fun spot to grab a drink for the ambiance, but as a full meal, it leaves a lot to be desired. The food itself is okay--the quesa birria tacos have decent flavor and the carne asada comes with a nice char--but given the steep prices, you expect way better execution and more generous portions. Paying high-end money for pretty standard street food staples dressed up on nice plateware just feels overpriced. Service was fine enough, nothing to complain about, but the value just isn't there for what they're charging. On top of that, parking can be a bit challenging since it's tucked away in kind of a weird location. If you're going purely for photos, fancy cocktails, and a trendy date night backdrop, it fits the bill, but if you're looking for great food value, there are much better spot-on Mexican joints in OC.
