Slashers was such a fun place for an event!! I came for my birthday with a group of about 20 people. It was perfect for big groups as they reserved multiple lanes and large tables for us so everyone was able to hang out. They have drinks and small snacks and allow food to be brought inside. We brought in a birthday cake which they were able to store in their fridge. They also gave me a huge "axe cake cutter" to cut my cake. Loved the horror theme!! My company hosted a Halloween event here & we all had a blast! The workers here were so extremely nice & helpful. There was a girl who remembered all our names and I thought that was so impressive! There was a guy who would give us pointers on how to hold/throw our axes. They really decked the place out for Halloween too. It really puts you in the festive mood! The parking lot is a bit small, so if you have a big party you may have to park at the triangle square parking lot. The walk wasn't too bad though! read more

The Theme & Setting of this place is amazing! When you walk in, you are immediately greeted which was a nice sign of good customer service! After, I was asked to sign a waiver (which was straight forward) and the camp counselor at the front desk was there to help guide and answer any and all questions you may have. The Camp Counselor's were are all wonderful and friendly . I was there, celebrating a friends birthday and our camp counselor "Sophie" was very welcoming and had educated the party on the do and don't of the lanes. She explained how to throw and was always there to help with form and questions any of us had. They take safety very seriously there. (Which I appreciate) There were times, I myself had to be told to step back when they saw my footing even slightly over the line into the lane. Sure, it was a subtle gesture but I appreciated how much they took safety seriously. The drink I got ( malignant ) there was yummy, but a little too sweet in my personal opinion. Nothing to do with how it was supposed to be made because "Dani" our bartender, was amazing, and was just following the ingredients. It just happened to be sweet for me. Overall, it was yummy, and I'm sure if you gave it a try you'd love/appreciate it & might not find it too sweet as I did. They also host tournaments within your party and give away prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd. I thought that was a cool idea to not only compete but intermingle with the party for a fun time. Had such a blast here. My wife setup my birthday party here for some friends and family and we all loved the atmosphere and the theming. Our camp counselor Jose was great! He taught us how to throw both the regular sized axe and the two handed big axe. Since we had so many people we had about 6 lanes for just our party with 3 people each. The different game modes were all fun to play. After the 1st hour they tangle everyone who wants to compete in a single elimination tournament to determine the top 3 winners with a podium award ceremony and group photo. Food: Only bagged finger snacks at this establishment. But you can bring whatever you want to eat here. (Bring serving/ eating utensils, plates, & napkins) Drinks: Outside drinks are not aloud so you only can drink from the bar. It seems appropriate to throw some axes around Halloween and that's what we did on a Saturday night. It's an organized group activity. If you are coming at night, be on the lookout for the entrance because we missed it twice! LOL! Look for the Travel Lodge sign and then you'd be able to locate the entrance. Parking is limited so do plan accordingly for example carpooling and perhaps have a designated driver if you plan to indulge in alcoholic drinks which are available at the venue. The organizer for our event provided salads and pizzas. I have been here before and glad to be back. Our host was very helpful and he provided clear instructions on how to throw the axes safely. What a super fun place! As a beginner, this is a great place to try it out for the first time. We loved the fun 80s slashers theme. There were a lot of photo ops. Couple of things to note: - Interior is very cool and spot on like an 80s horror theme - The axe board is a digital projection which allows you to play a variety of different types of games (not just tallying points on a circle target (I.e. tic-tac-toe, battleship, etc) - $40/hour for a lane is pretty expensive but it's a cool experience - You can drink MAX 3 drinks during your stay, feels like a good safety protocol - The staff was very helpful to instruct my buddy how to throw axes. We had a fantastic time at Slashers for a fun date day activity. It was our first time axe throwing and we will absolutely be back. When we checked in, we were handed a VHS tape with a horror movie name on it and we knew we were in for a fun vibe. The bar was fun - the drinks were delicious & cutely themed and the bartender was so kind and helpful. Once we got called up to our lane, the attendant Gabby was incredible. As mentioned above, this was our first time axe throwing, and she was so patient watching our form and helping coach me when I couldn't get the axe to stay in the wall. She had the patience of a saint, and even after the trial period, she kept an eye on everyone and was happy to step in and help with more tips when I looked lost. She's a gem. We loved the variety of games they offered within the lane - we did the standard bullseye, we diffused a bomb, played tic tac toe (twice), and diffused landmines. The game variety kept it fresh so it didn't just feel like we were taking turns throwing toward a bullseye for an hour. Okay hi! I've been to two other axe throwing places through work events and wow does Slashers blow them all away! The attention to detail and the obvious horror theme make them better than any other axe throwing spot I've been to. I came with a friend and he booked us a lane on a random Sunday but I was excited because I've been meaning to come to come to Slashers as a horror fan for quite some time. We got checked in and the name of our lane was given to us on a blockbuster VHS and we got checked into our lane by the amazing Krystal. I had been to a few axe throwing places before so I knew what to expect, or I thought I did, but instead of keeping score or playing whatever game we thought of, Krystal showed us how there was an iPad that changed up the basic axe throwing game I had in my head. We cycled through alien invasions to defusing bombs. What a wonderful high tech concept. In between rounds we had a drink at the bar and Jose hooked me up with a few mocktails and everything down to the candy eyeball tasted great. So many options even if you're not a drinker. Thanks Jose! We finished out our hour and could have definitely added an hour but had time constraints. Within the time frame my friend and I got much better with the pointers that Krystal gave us, I highly recommend using the heavier axe! She really was able to objectively give us help since she was the pro and our throwing hit better under her guidance. Also something really weird happened at the top of every hour but none of the staff acknowledged it so, I don't know what that was all about. Came on a Thursday easily afternoon, wasn't packed and we were greeted and immediately processed. We had a sign a waiver and was quick with a QR code, and then we were assigned a "movie" (lane): we got Childs Play, Chucky lane. Our Camp counselor -Krystal- was super cool and explained the rules of the game as well as the safety rules of the place. We ordered a couple of beers, and we wished they were colder, or at least were served in chilled glasses. We played "black Jack" and "battle ship" game modes and the whole hour flew by. SO MUCH FUN!! And in between plays, I had the chance to walk around and appreciate the decor: like the camp tables and lamps, the movie posters with the axes/hatchets that made them all famous: great touch. I was able to take pix around the place and I appreciate them paying attention to details! Really brings the whole Slashers vibe to your evening. Whether or not you're a huge horror fan, you're in for a treat here at Slashers Axe Throwing & Ales! Learned about the establishment from the CrossRoads Escape Game in Anaheim, and it was such a great decision to spend our Halloween celebration here. Since we had a larger group, we opted for two hours of axe throwing, and it was fantastic. They have a short orientation before you start your session to get you acquainted with your axes and how to throw them, as well as some safety measures. Surprisingly, the axe throwing itself is cathartic, and they have a variety of minigames to enhance your throwing experience. In between rounds, you can order from their selection of horror-themed drinks at the bar. Would definitely stop and pay attention at the top of each hour since the bar comes to life. Horror props from different films decorate the back of the bar, and it was entertaining trying to determine which prop was for which film. A friend and I ordered some drinks. My drink was good (can't remember the name but it was a marshmallow stout with caramel, whipped cream, and a cinnamon rim), but my friend's (Season of the Witch) was even better. Tasted like a caramel apple pop with a slight tartness. Also wanted to mention that the staff is friendly! Couple of notes for first-timers: (1) The parking lot that can be easy to miss--make sure to turn when you see the "Shoe City sign (2) From what I can recall there are a few snack options, but not anything filling like a meal (3) To ensure the safety of the campers (us!), they restrict each person to a maximum of 3 alcoholic beverages (4) Get two hours if you have a bigger group. Each lane is restricted to about 2-3 people and the time to throw is set for each lane (My group had 7 people) In any case, I wouldn't hesitate coming back--this place is a real gem! read more

This place just opened up last month and you can just tell so much attention has been placed into the decor, drinks, layout, customer service, etc. There are tons of cute details. (Check out their bulletin board) We also had the featured drinks of Huckleberry Hard Selzter, What we Drink in the Shadows and Texas Chainsaw Michelada. Def try the first 2! Keep in mind your tongue might turn blue/purple from the Drink in the Shadows. The staff is really friendly and understanding, from the person who checks you in, to the bartender and counselor that tells you how to throw the axe. Anyway, my husband and I had never done axe throwing before, so we weren't sure what to expect. Our counselor explained the rules and regulations. They have a drink limit which makes sense when you're handling sharp weapons. Each guest is only allowed to get up to three drinks. They had each axe throwing lane named after popular slasher killers, even the most recent like Art the Clown.
