I recently moved to the area and Chinese food and sushi is always my go to. This place is great. The food is great along with the service. The sushi always tastes fresh and delicious. My food is always served in a timely manner. I can't wait to try more of their food! read more

The service here is always GREAT!!!! I always recommend this place to friends and family. I actually went to them so much I asked if they could cater my wedding and they did. I've tried a lot of different chinese food places and I seem to always come back. There sushi is great and prices aren't to bad either. read more

Great service and food. Try the lobster dish Great meeting place for friends. I haven't been disappointed with the food, service or drinks. read more

This is a the best Chinese food around. The owners really care about their customers, and try to remember everyone by name which is nice. If you decided to go there you have to try the House Mai tai, it so good and strong. Every time my husband and I are thinking about eating out we end up at Yang Ming. I try to eat something different every time I go and so far so good. The owner's wife is more of a people person and loves to satisfy the customers. She is always trying to find new ways to bring in business and make deals. I specially love when she lets us sample her new drinks. The guy is more to him self and sometimes set in the back on his computer. I enjoy going to Yang Ming so I try to let the waiter know that I am there to relax and have drinks and dinner, so that they won't be down are throats, standing behind us or checking on us. I usually hate that about Chinese restaurant so I let them know before hand. I rather let them know when I am ready to order. read more

I am picky Chinese food eater. I have been to the best and to the not-so-good buffets. But this place surprised me. We tried it randomly and had heard nothing of it. It was surprisingly clean and the decor was not dusty (rare) The food came reasonably fast and looked really fresh. It was fresh and great tasting, and the price gave you a lot of bang for your buck. The food was not drowned in sauces or oils. Overall it was a great experience. Was it perfect? No, but what place truly is. I would recommend it. read more

Friend recommend this Chinese restaurant, so I gave it a try March 22, 2014. Had take-out website is not easy to find. I ordered Happy Family (Scallop, shrimp, beef, chicken, pork & mixed vegetable stir fried in light brown sauce). Very good and they do not use MSG! I will be going back and trying many other dishes. Next time dine in and have a drink!!! read more

Been going to this place for years now. Always gets the job done! Big portions and the sushi is top notch. Don't be fooled by the outside of this place -- good food. read more

This Chinese food is the best. Whenever we visit our family in New Hampshire, this is at the top of our list for places to eat. Quality food and simply delicious. Nice atmosphere and the owners are delightful. Do yourself a favor and try it. You won't be sorry. read more

Just tried Yang Ming for the first time. Placed a take out order and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. The taste of the food was excellent! My only complaint would be that the beer I had in the bar while waiting was a bit pricey read more

Our favorite Chinese/Japanese restaurant in Salem. But ohhhhh my god, the woman who takes orders occasionally has a huge accent and she has so much trouble understanding and taking an efficient order. I spent over 15 minutes trying to place a delivery order that should have taken one minute. Ahhhhh I wanted to rip my eyebrows from my face by the time the conversation was over. read more

I love it here! The people are so friendly and very welcoming! I went for mostly sushi and it was awesome, along with their rice! Very satisfying! They're always making sure you're completely satisfied and encourage you to come back for more! The sugar mamas there are to die for and I'm in love with the snap peas they are a great appetizer! The welcoming atmosphere makes me want to come again and again for their delicious cuisine. read more

I realize it was New Year's Eve, but I waited 2 hours for my order when we were promised 30 minutes. Needless to say I never got it and left since we were too hungry to wait any longer. There must have been more than 50 people in the same situation. It was senseless on their part to treat customers like this. read more

Hands down the best Chinese food around. Any reviewers that say anything different don't really know good Chinese food when they eat it. House Mai Tai's are amazing. Owners and staff are friendly and attentive. read more

My new favorite place to get Chinese food in the Salem area. The staff is friendly and the food is always fresh. I've been up and down Broadway looking for good Chinese food and for some reason passed this place by, many times. It was worth the wait. read more

I have never eaten at the establishment, so I cannot comment on dining in. However, I do order from Yang Ming all the time. Delivery service is fairly quick (30-35 minutes to the outskirts of their delivery area). The owners are very friendly on the phone and remember my name and preferences! The sushi at Yang Ming is downright amazing. The ingredients are fresh, the rolls are large and tasty, and the presentation is excellent! This place is second to none in the sushi department for the north shore. If you want comparable quality sushi, you have drive 45-50 minutes into Boston and pay a whole lot more. I have tried numerous sushi/sashimi on the menu and I am always impressed. The Chinese food is above average in my experience. Though I don't order it often. read more

I've been going to Yang Ming's for about 5 years now... and the Service is Fantastic. YOU HAVE TO TRY THE SUSHI... especially "Alaskin Maki"... I'm a sucker for the crab rangoon's too. The owners go out of there way to accommodate anything you want from both the menu of food or drinks. If you love Mai Tai's... The house Mai Tai is huge and worth it.... My favorite is the "Lady Mai Tai"... I'm not a big rum fan so I get the Lady Mai Tai, because it's made with Vodka instead of Rum. Top Knotch Asian Cusine !!! read more

The best place around us for take out! Unfortunately we are in Methuen and they don't deliver but we make the trip every time because it's the only place that hasn't disappointed us! read more

Always great food and their sushi is delicious, yum yum. Tonight must've been a special occasion because the waitress had a tray of shots (something green) and was going around offering to all the tables, it was good! read more

Favorite place for Chinese food! Eat here quite a bit with coworkers and it's always a good time. Never had bad food, the owner Mai is always there to greet us, the drinks never disappoint. Any person I've recommended this place too has always wound up returning customers. read more

Very friendly staff. Food was delicious and fairly priced. It came out hot and there were plenty of leftovers.

Fabulous non MSG food!!! I never feel sick or get a migraine after! Staff is friendly and delivery people are great too! I love Yang Ming night!!! read more

I go to this place for dinner at least twice a month, and I've never been disappointed. I like the sushi and the hot plates. I find the prices to be quite reasonable. The house Mai Tai is excellent, and one is enough to make you smile. The service is very good. This is my go-to place for Chinese food in Salem. read more

We moved to Salem over the summer, and hadn't found the perfect Chinese food...until now. Yang Ming did not disappoint this evening. Priced fairly with great portion size. We enjoyed every bit of our meal! Crab Rangoon was the best....delicious fried rice. Got the pineapple chicken, and it was interesting and tasty. We'll be back.... read more

Love this place! We go here quite often, so we know the whole staff by name. Try the House Special Mai Tai - it'll ruin you for any other mai tai! Food is consistently great and fresh! Possibly the cleanest restaurant on Broadway! read more

Best Chinese food within a 15 mile radius. The food is delicious and much more refined than the other places in Salem, which seem scuzzy, greasy and gross. read more

I have been to this restaurant many of times. I have had many different items from their menu. There has never been a time in which I have had anything short of a rich flavorful meal. And trust me.. I am picky. I'm mainly picky because I have worked in restaurants. You also know it's a good restaurant when you see your own town butcher going there to eat as well. The customer service is great as well. You can't go wrong stopping by here for food! read more

You know that feeling after eating most Chinese food? It's like "That was okay...it the spot...but I'm totally Chinese-ed out for awhile". Well Yangs does the opposite. It's so good, so fresh, so hot and delicious that you want to stay for another round of food. The Chinese food is awesome and the sushi is even better. My boyfriend doesn't even really like sushi but every time we go to Yangs I know I have to order extra because he'll eat all my Crazy Maki! read more

Yang Ming is the best asian food in the area! The quality is consistently great and the ingredients are very fresh. Their mai tais are delicious and the staff is always friendly. I always tell people to go here. read more

Food is average. I like General Gau's chicken at Chinese restaurants. I like this dish as sweet and spicy at the same time. Unfortunately, this dish is terrible at Yang Ming. I have been there a couple of times and service was always slow at tables. read more

Mae, the owner is INCREDIBLE. The service is always great along with the food. If you want a great environment to enjoy dinner with friends or family this is the place to be. Price is reasonable but wouldn't mind paying more for such great service food and people. read more

This place is amazing!! Everyone is super nice and attentive and they have the best food. After eating here I refuse to eat Chinese food from any other place. The jungle maki sushi is a MUST and the pineapple chicken bowl is also yummy! This place won't let you down :) ps. My dad eats here at least once a week lmao read more

This place seems to have reviews all over the place. After last night's debacle, I decided to write this review. Hopefully they realize they lost 4 customers last night. First off....let me preface this by saying we used to love this place. Great food...great service. It was so awful last night we actually asked if it changed ownership. Food - 4 of us ended up sick within a few minutes of leaving. I had the walnut chicken and it was so hard to cut through it made me nervous to even eat it. Think of microwaved to the point of drying out chicken....never finished it (never asked to have it comped off my bill either). Second...drinks were horrible. Third....when you order AS A TABLE and each person's plate comes out bit by bit...with one friend NEVER GETTING HER FOOD til the very end...you've got a communication issue. Then when we tell you "it's getting too late forget about it" & you ignore the request and bring it 45 minutes later....no bueno. You're not getting us to pay for it....no way no how...especially when we taste it and the cold sushi is warm...yuck!!!!! Back it went...take it off the bill. Service? Terrible. Don't rush us...you're not busy anyway and we generally tip for good service around 30%....unfortunately our server didn't get that. Like I said...we've gone for awhile now and had great service and food...last night was just plain horrible all around. We won't be back read more

I used to think this place was a joke- a place you'd go to just get hammered off strong drinks but never touch the food. Well it turns out they have awesome Chinese food and sushi as well as very strong drinks. I'm personally a sushi person and theirs is my favorite in town. They are the go to for my family for Chinese food. Very friendly people, they never mess up any meals and they have online ordering which makes things very easy. read more

I've been going to this place for years (through all the name changes) and have never really been disapointed in my meal. My most recent visit in the last few weeks I thought the meal was fantastic....very fresh and delicious. The weekend lunch meals are a steal, I always bring home leftovers. Will continue to go here until the day when they run out of new names and close for good. read more

Sushi is so fresh and the lunch time roll combos are a great bagain. The lunch specials are huge and the wait staff is so pleasant. Some of them do have a problem with English, but that is easily overcome. I love the varitey of Asain dishes. Not just the same old same old. We go there often it is the best kept secret in town. Also, the take out service has free perks for different price levels if you spend $40 you get a free General Gao's Chicken...can't beat that. If you spend $30 I think it is a free large Crab Rangoon read more

We have ordered several times since and been very happy with the quality of the food and the delivery times have been reasonable. We even ordered on New's Eve and had food delivered in a timely fashion. No more stories about the "new girl" and food already on it's way when it wasn't even prepared. Our favorite from here is their Crab Rangoon. This traditional take-out dish from Chinese style restaurants is easy to do right, but often done poorly. They do it right! Their egg rolls are better than most and I recommend the General Tso and Kung Pao chicken. Yang Ming is now our Chinese take-out of choice when we are at her house in Methuen. If you are in Salem NH or the North side of Methuen Ma I recommend it. I am upgrading my rating to five stars. (Also, please tips the delivery drivers well from this place. They are friendly and quick. It is clear that past delivery issues where not with the drivers. But with production in the restaurant.) read more

This is the best Chinese food in the Salem NH area. They always use very fresh ingredients and are friendly. I have been ordering since Yang Ming took over from the last place that was there. Guests from out of town usually have positive comments about Yang Ming's menu selection and food. read more

We are sooo glad we found yang Ming! Each dish we have tried is out of this world!!!!

The atmosphere was awkward. It was too loud. I could have done without the clubbing lights. The food was less than delicious but more than average. read more

Really good food, good service, good prices. One thing that bothers me though is on window sills they have betta fish in 4 ounce bowls. Their water looks really dirty oftentimes and sometimes the fish are either clearly sick or dying. For a person eating in, the site of a dead fish in a tiny bowl with yellow water may be an appetite killer. read more
