Yang Ming has the best mai tais and drinks. And when you pay your bill You get a free shot. Great bar area and friendly staff. The hot and sour soup with wontons is very good. They also have keno. Great place to start the night

    Beef lo mein

I just found this place and now it's my go to Chinese. The food was really delicious and they give you really generous portions. And the scorpion bowl for 2 was strong and yummy. We got the following food - ranking them from my most to least favorite: Boneless spare rib - this was my absolute favorite because the flavor and tenderness of the meat was great. We got a large and it lasted us 3 meals for 2 Beef Lo Mein - the flavor of the noodles were salty and sweet, the perfect combo. The beef inside the noodles were tender and a good size. The veggies were a little lacking, but otherwise it was great General Gau's Chicken - hefty pieces of chicken covered in this thick sweet and slightly spicy sauce. These pieces are coated and there's plenty of sauce to dip again if you need more. I like the crispness of the chicken even though it was drenched in sauce. Three Delight W/ Garlic Sauce - this was definitely my least favorite, but I think it's because of the celery. It was not cooked down so it was really crunchy and I just didn't like the taste of it. But the flavor was good, thick garlic sauce coated all the different proteins and veggies. Overall, I'm definitely coming back. I would like to try their sushi menu to see if this would be my go to sushi place too!

    House FLY special lo mein

Do not recommend folks to come here after our last experience on 10/08/2023. We ordered house special lo mein and definitely got a special serving with a fly on top. I luckily took a picture in hopes to remember what we order and what's good. We were so grossed out and we should've just got up and left... They took the house lo mein away and said they would make a new one for us, not sure if they really did or just stir fried it up again. It would've made us feel better seeing the older plate still out. I should have ordered something instead of the lo mein again, but I was just shocked and disgusted. To top everything off, we paid for the lo mein still. I was kind of expecting for it to be taken off the bill, but paid for it and still gave a 15% tip. We did not complain or make it a big issue. We said we weren't comfortable and grossed out and they didn't seem to engage with us on it further. Our kids were disgusted. We were disgusted. It ruined our family dinner outing. We had thought we'd found a new Chinese spot too. We did love the salt and pepper pork dish.

It's so thoughtful , and I'm totally here for it! The ambiance is okay -- a bit simple and casual, nothing fancy but comfortable enough to enjoy your meal. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick. It is a little on the pricier side, but the quality and overall experience make it worth it. Definitely one of the better sushi places around!

The avocado was very fresh and perfectly ripe too. The Christmas roll had was tasty, but you cant eat too of it because its very indulgent. The colorful roll was yummy, but a little fishy (maybe the salmon or the tobiko??). Overall, I was not expecting this to be actually tasty sushi and fresh fish for a random location and pretty inexpensive rolls. My feedback is that there is inconsistent amount of rice on the rolls, very often rolls having too little and exposed nori. I think the rolls could also be more tightly rolled so they dont fall apart. Lastly, I found the amount of tobiko on the colorful roll to be a little overwhelming and overpowered the roll (but that might just be my preference) Im a little biased being from California, so if this was back in CA, id give it a 8/10. But being in NH ill say its a close 10/10 I will be going here again

They say you never forget your first. The first time I ever tried hibachi was at a place called…read moreMiyabi in Fayetteville, NC. Now, I can't tell whether it's pure nostalgia or merely personal preference. But that place has since been what wifey and I consider to be the "gold standard" for what hibachi should taste like. It's been nearly 15 years and our opinion hasn't changed since. So, when we happen upon a place like Wasabi, we're certainly gonna notice and criticize culinary anomalies such as not using so much as an OUNCE of seasoning on any of the proteins, veggies, or rice. Oh, and spoilers up front - it's never a good sign when the appetizers outshine the main course. Lobster Rangoon: I'll be honest here. I never knew anyone offered Lobster Rangoon until we came here. I suppose it was inevitable sooner or later; a logical ingredient to use, if not crab. Well anyway, this app was pleasantly superb! Unfortunately, it's also where the evening peaked. Nevertheless, it's a 9 out of 10, highly recommend!! Clear soup: Normally, I never even bother giving this its own paragraph. I just wanted to highlight my first impressions rather quickly to say, while not ALL bad, it was mostly lacking in flavor whilst simultaneously harboring a hint of spice. All that's to say...there's not a lot going on here. I guess I should have asked if substituting soups was an option here. It's...whatever. 3 out of 10. Lobster and steak: Okay. A few things of note here - there's apparently no option to upgrade your cut of steak to filet as with most other hibachi restaurants. So, I assume this was a top sirloin of sorts. Naturally, I got mine mid-rare and it's a good thing, too. Because despite its ostensibly rubbery texture, I can't begin to imagine how tough its exterior would have been were it cooked well done. And no...there was zero seasoning added to it, outside of soy sauce, some butter, and a bit of minced garlic. Whole thing tasted like bland puppy chow. Fortunately, the half cup or so of additional soy sauce *kinda* saved it. 4 out of 10. Now, the lobster tail and appetizer shrimp were slightly better, mostly due to the added dash of lemon during cooking, combined with how well it pairs with the yum yum sauce. But once again....not an ounce of seasoning could be damned. What a let down! 5 out of 10. Fried rice: here's where I usually can gauge pretty quickly where the chef stands in their ability to season food. It's normally the first thing to come off the grill. But I left this one for last because this is, funnily enough, where the majority of that soy sauce you see in my "after" photo went. It's like the chef went out of his way to add the absolute minimal amount of flavor possible to the rice. It's nights like these I wish they were the type of place that left salt and pepper on the table. Oh, and I've NEVER been much a fan of peas in fried rice, much less peas at all. After adding about half a bottle of soy sauce, this one's a 4 out of 10 for me. Look, I don't want or like to lament on places like this. After all, hibachi holds a special place in my heart. Hell, even the service was fairly decent. But cordiality can only get you so far if the product you're serving is mediocre as hell and ineptly prepared. The one GOOD thing I can say about this experience is at least we know there's no need to travel so far to get decent hibachi. Ergo, we'll be sticking to the likes of Sakura and The Seafood King in Nashua and Manchester, respectively. Wasabi in Salem gets 3 steak & lobster dinners in desperate need of seasoning out of 5.

We were a group of 6 people and were seated right away. They have an extensive menu for food and drinks. Everything is Japanese with some Peruvian flavours. For drinks half of us tried the fruit juices, made fresh. The other half opted for beer. The fruit juice was more like a smoothie. It was incredible and I would have definitely ordered more if I weren't full. It came in a strawberry and a pineapple flavour. I got the strawberry-ginger and it was very refreshing. For appetizers we got vegetable tempura, a shrimp wrapped in plantain tempura, and a chicken avocado tart of some sort. The veg tempura were meh but the rest of the appetizers were phenomenal. Especially the shrimp wrapped in plantain! For mains, some of us got seafood soba noodles, sushi and a fish dish. The food was pretty unique. The soba noodles did not look like soba, I think they used regular ramen noodles instead. However the sauce and seafood flavours were such a hit! Great find in Lawrence! Overall great experience. The service could be nicer. Will definitely be back for an after work dinner.

But if someone is going to pay at least 32-50 for hibachi the quality should be up to par. I got steak and salmon hibachi for about 40- the salmon was two very thin slices and steak about a single serving size. One of the problems with this price range is they will charge you extra for fried rice (isnt that the reason go for hibachi?), extra for "garlic noodles"- that was 50% soy sauce. Dumps a load of lomein on the griddle and gave it a soy sauce bath, no garlic. The food was extremely salty, the sauces they also gave were poorly made- watery and extremely salty. Hibachi sauces should be gingery, garlicky, a little thick and flavorful. Most places will also give a creamy sauce, they gave something with cheap hot mustard in it and something else that was also watery and salty it was not appealing at all. The only positive is the cook was really nice, but you guys need to work on whatever recipes you have currently and re-evaluate the pricing for the quality youre giving out. We shouldve went to Tomo if i was going to spend that much.
