There are also sushi, chips, bubble tea and etc. That night my rideshare dropped me off close by; therefore, I could not say no to not going. This time I got the Nem Nuong but the Cha Lua and pate banh-mi is great as well. I find it a bit more "authentic". After 9pm, all the food in containers are 30% off. I forgot about that-got their at 9:03pm and a swarm of people rushed in. I am removing one star because I was charged for a 10 inch banh-mi but the lady used the 7 inch. Also, they are only $7.75!!!

We had been looking around for some food in the area, and my friend found this little banh mi shop. What a great find! The sandwiches had 7-inch and 10-inch options; we each went with the 10-inch and finished them quickly. My friend also got a spring roll and she said it was the largest spring roll she had ever seen. Service is fast and friendly, and the sandwiches are priced well (compared to banh mi's we get in San Francisco). I ordered the grilled pork sandwich (#5) and my friend ordered the #1 sandwich. I felt my sandwich could have used more meat inside, but the bread was delicious and the fillings paired well. The shop is quite small inside and seating is limited. They also heat your sandwich up so the bread has a nice crisp to it. Friend's Review: "Once you get to the middle, the ratio of bread to meat to veggies is good. The bread was super warm which made it enjoyable to eat."

In my opinion, not everyone gets sushi right, specifically with the freshness of the fish, so we were pleasantly surprised to find Kyo. Our group included 4 people who are absolutely obsessed with Sushi, and so I was curious what their take was. I tried the Snake roll, edamame, and requested an avocado/ cucumber roll which they made for me. The rest of the group tried the rainbow roll, chefs choice Maki combination, chefs choice sushi combination, tonkatsu pork, and the beignets for dessert. Let me start off by mentioning the incredibly kind service we received from the hostess, server, and staff the entire night. On an incredibly busy Friday night, they maintained their patience as the restaurant was completely booked, and were kind and pleasant in every interaction. The restaurant itself is beautifully located in downtown, clean, and spacious. You do not feel rushed to eat. The food was so good we have decided to go back for dinner one more night before traveling back home. The vegetables and fish are fresh, the portions are perfect yet generous, and overall, id rate this restaurant a 12/10. Highly recommend if you're in Montreal and looking for good food.

I was unfortunately very underwhelmed by Grenade. My partner and I recently moved nearby, and were…read moreexcited to try what looked to be a flourishing, great establishment. Let's start with the service: Prefaced by saying that it was not very busy at all (4 to 5 other tables). We were taken to a table and left for quite some time. We sat for maybe 10-15 minutes with no water or menu provided. Once we did finally order and receive our cocktails, they were... off. I ordered their Tokyo Kin which tasted like a watered down lemonade and you cannot convince me there was even a drop of alcohol in that glass. My partner ordered their espresso martini dupe, which was very underwhelming as well. Our food was fine, nothing grand. The presentation was lovely, however, $5 for 3 pieces of shrimp was a joke. Small portions, lack of flavor, and extreme prices made for a very unpleasant dining experience. If not an already frustrating experience, we then went to find our server so we could pay and finally leave. Upon walking to the bar we saw them eating and lounging on their phones. This was a very unpleasant experience and the bill being nearly $90 was laughable for what we received. I would recommend looking into other restaurants in the area unless you are wanting to have a terribly underwhelming experience.

Went to this bar for the first time with friends on a rainy day so we had thought maybe our…read morereservation would be pushed back since we weren't sure if the bar had a covered terrasse ( which it did ). We were also late and I had called the number and left them a voicemail to advise them & when I got there and mentioned this , the host looked at me weird , which I didn't get why and went to see if they can find us another table since they had given our table away since they thought we were going to be a no show ( since they didn't check the phone msg). We got to our table, the waiter was nice and super helpful for the dinner . We had ordered the edamame and chicken gyoza for appetizers. The edamame had a quick since it had a blend of spices to make this Japanese spice & the gyozas were succulent. Mains : my friends had orders the tofu salad and tartare , and I had ordered the bibimbap. Mine was as expected , delicious & so was the tartare. The only main complaint my friend had was for the the tofu salad as there was barely any tofu in the salad and more of the kale . Drinks : I ordered a regular mojito ( not the one on the menu but the classic), one friend ordered a non alcoholic mojito & the other didn't order anything to drink. She had wanted an ice tea since she was driving and the bar actually had everything but ice tea , which was a first . The reason why it's a 3 star is not solely based on the drink selection, but mainly how we were greeted and dealt with at the beginning. I would definitely go back eventually to try again when it isn't raining

They were moderately busy on a Tuesday night and they greeted and seated me immediately. My server was great, very friendly and helpful. The menu had a couple of items that looked appetizing, such as the Tom Yum soup and curry chicken stir fry. I started with jasmine hot tea, which was excellent and warming after the walk in 2 degree weather. The soup was warm as well, but flavors weren't as authentic as I expected. It was decent though. Next up was the curry chicken stir fry and it was really bland, so I used a bunch of their hot sauce to spike it up. I've never been to a Thai spot that didn't have birds eye chili and Prik nam pla, as their hot sauce was a form of sriracha. It was spicy, but not much flavor. Overall, the venue was beautifully decorated and service was great, but food mediocre.
