Texas native here visiting this beautiful city with my family. We came across this place while looking for a different restaurant. They had a menu posted outside and it sounded spectacular. Came inside and immediately seated and promptly got our order taken care of. Ordered the beef and coriander xio long bao and hot and sour cucumber. Absolutely delicious and satisfying meal. Gem of a place, and will remember this meal for the rest of my trip.

Best dumplings I've had! Was visiting Montréal with friends and tried this place. Dumplings are hand made, other restaurants don't compared to this one. Definitely recommend the fried dumplings!

Beijing Dumpling is a promising restaurant with seats inside, at the front patio and the back terrasse. The interior is simple but clean and well lighted. The dumplings are made behind a glass panel close to the front counter, then cooked in the kitchen at the back. We went Friday night and it was busy, so we asked for take out. We got pork/leek/shrimp dumplings (steamed), and lamb/coriander dumplings (fried). Then we payed and sat down. And watched. The chaos was obvious. Online orders came in too fast and often, a cloud of people lined up to pay/order, printed orders kept falling to the floor, delivery runners waited impatiently, patrons kept asking about their orders... The workers were bravely trying to keep up, but it was difficult to watch. A slew of nearly 10 guests walked out at one point, fed up. Others sat and stared, resigned. Our order came after about 40 min, packed in styrofoam boxes. The dumplings were hot out of the frying pan and had melted a gaping hole in one of the boxes. They fried both orders by mistake, gave me lamb/cumin instead of lamb/coriander, and a couple dumplings with surprise fillings in the pork/leek/shrimp order. In many ways this dinner was a disaster, but the food shone through - the dumplings were really delicious. I hope they make the necessary ajustments to sustain pressures such as Friday's (e.g. shut down online orders), and I'm looking forward to visit again on a less busy day. At least their (contrite) politeness never faded throughout the fumbling.

UPDATE Oct6: they changed their menu! Just tried #25 which is Pork & Green Onion Dumpling (15mcx) and they are extremely soup-filled! The dough is awesome and it's crazy juicy! Eating #39 Beef and Onion Dumpling Fried! A mahhhzing! We usually don't like the fried dumplings but these were so crispy and yummy! Service and management could still be better but oh boy this was a nice treat!! The only downfall is there was absolutely no music playing. You don't really notice it but music is oh so important in a restaurant!

Great place if you're ready for something other than French food. I sure was - we popped in spontaneously and really glad we did. Dumplings are really authentic, fresh and tasty. Great prices and the people that run the place are very accommodating and friendly.

Excellent dumplings and wonderful service, we tried a steamed and a fried version that both were equally delicious. If you like spice, add the chili oil to the vinegar for dipping. Would definitely recommend this place for an authentic experience that is approachable to all levels of culinary experience.

This was a pretty large and clean restaurant located in a large plaza with plenty of parking. They had lots of tables and also a pretty robust takeout service. It was very family friendly and they accommodated our large group with attentive service. They had lots of good options on the menu and the pho dac biet was pretty decent.

Bun Bo Hue - 10/10 Super flavorful broth and a perfect super mild spicy! I personally don't like all the pork feet and bones in my noodle soup but authentically I think it should come with it and other people prefer it. But I liked that it only came with the regular viet ham and beef bc I don't like the other things. #44 Pork Chop Rice Plate - 10/10 It may look small on camera but this portion was HUGE. Lots of rice! But the pork chop was decent regular size. Pork chop was perfectly marinated and I love the glaze that comes with it. Cooked perfectly as well not too dry and not tough. Also the fried egg was perfect! A little soft fried sunny side egg yolk! Overall I loved all elements of this place and I had so much rice left over but I was FULL for the whole day. Banh Xeo - 10/10 HUGE portion as well! It's super stuffed with lots of filling and the crepe was cooked soft and crispy! I like this style of appetizer because it's super hands on and you get to wrap it like a little roll. Super fun and yummy appetizer! ALSO pleaseee try the sugar cane drink! It's so refreshing and it's real authentic sugar cane and it literally soothes your soul. The ambience was super welcoming and the restaurant was super big and spacious. Overall, I liked every single dish and everything was super flavorful and made me feel good eating it! Best bun Bo hue I had!

Whatever it was Pho Saigon Viet-Nam served me up the best Satay Beef Pho I ever tasted. I started my lunch meal with spring rolls ($5,00). They were good but not the best spring rolls I ever had. The roll I thought was a bit chewy. Next came the Satay Beef ($12) which totally flavored the Pho. It was the best Pho I ever had but mind you I am no expert. They have a strange business model in that a small bowl is $11 and a large bowl is $12. It came out piping hot. I had to let it sit, as well as, blow on the broth to cool it down. The staff was tri-lingual. Imagine that! The food came out quick. It seems a lot of locals dine here. The restaurant is located in Chinatown. The street entrance is below ground level. The restaurant is somewhat dated and upkeep could be improved. The food is a 5 STAR in my opinion.

The restaurant was relatively empty. Tabletops had a bit of a stench to it and the menus handed to us were sticky. Not one to judge a book by its cover and these conditions are fairly common in Chinatown. The menu was pretty extensive with all the common dishes. I really wanted some banh cuon or banh uot, but on a frigid night, I felt like some pho would hit the spot instead. The bun bo hue and banh canh were very enticing to me; those would've been great options on a cold night as well. Prices were reasonable ranging from 12-16$ based on size. We ordered a small and medium; instantly regretted not getting a bigger size though because I def could have eaten more. Broth was darker than normal. Nothing stood out about the broth, but it was pretty spice-forward and still very much hit the spot. They surprisingly loaded up on the meat; I've never had this much meat in my bowl of pho at any other restaurants. The noodles were also cooked perfectly! Realistically I probably wouldn't come back here as often if my other usual spots were open, but I'm especially grateful they were welcoming during holiday hours. I noticed that the banh xeo and some other dishes were cheaper than other places though, so maybe I'll return for that. CASH ONLY.
