Great cute place for lunch after walking around the nearby museum. Prices were reasonable and portions satisfied our hungry appetites. We didn't leave any leftovers. Service was quick as well. Would recommend for donburi.

What an adorable lunch spot! The interior is super cozy and the donburi bowls are delicious! Flavorful but not overpowering and a solid price point! On top of that, the waitress was really sweet and had great suggestions. Overall, I'd definitely come back here for lunch (and I suggest you give it a try yourself)!

Loved that we were able to find this quaint gem in town! It was very close to where we were staying, and we were delightfully surprised by the pleasant ambience. The seating is cozy, but very clean. There is also a good flow of customers so that people can come in and out for seating. The food was really great, and the portion sizes were big. Very affordable! The flavor of the dry curry was rich, and the Gyudon meat was very tender. Would recommend!

I had several takeout orders and one dine in experience. I like the food here. I usually order a rice bowl covered with fried pork or chicken. Last time I had a tomato beef stew covered rice bowl it is also very nice. The restaurant is not big but cozy.

Excellent Korean restaurant that describes itself as an Asian Fusion establishment! We decided to order from here for dinner last week. We ordered Chicken Torikatsu & Popcorn Chicken! The Popcorn chicken was juicy and crispy! Torikatsu is an excellent choice!! Ingredients were fresh, portions big and taste was delicious!! It's definitely at the same level as other great asian restaurants in Montreal and a new favourite of the family! Will definitely be ordering from here again!

A little gem in Montreal. Service is great. The food was great. The yam fries are a must have, when you have the first one, the flavors are really unexpected but fantastic. The citrus chicken and the Katsura were also great. Friendly staff was very attentive. Highly recommended.

You can also order to go here I believe. They really operate efficiently, expect fast service! Tables are tightly situated and there's a cozy bar situation where I sat this time, able to watch the chefs cook right in front of me. The daily specials are posted on their Instagram page, as well as written on pieces of paper around the restaurant. My server quickly helped me to water and a glass of sake. I placed a to go order for one of the daily specials, the grilled sea bass with sushi rice and salad, with some kimchi. I also ordered the BBQ chicken with tortilla and salad, as well as vegetable gyoza. Everything was incredible. Truly. The gyoza came topped with green onions and was SO crispy and hot and was perfect with their soy sauce. I thought sea bass was wonderful with a unique almost smoky flavor that melted in my mouth paired with the slightly sweet sticky rice. The barbecue chicken was great as well and better the next day. One thing I don't really understand is why they served plain flour tortillas cut into quarters with their food. We didn't utilize this, nor the white butter/mayo sauce that came alongside it. I hope to eat here often, for years to come and am so happy to see this iconic Japanese restaurant still thriving years later.

Once seated, things happen very quickly...it is go, go, go (in the best possible way.) We ordered appetizers first, the tempura green beans with a delicious truffle mayo, gyoza and the tofu salad (they make it fresh every Sunday). Green beans were everyone's fave, but I have to mention the (pickled?) vegetables on the salad. So flavourful! Also tried the egg drop soup which is so tasty. Mains were the salmon tuna bowl, the beef short ribs, the shrimp burger, and 48 hour pork with curry sauce. Everything was wonderful! Finished with their soft serve ice cream, I had the cherry blossom but one of us had the sake, which is a shot of sake poured on top. Amazing! You can even have wasabi or ginger... I'll try that next time (and there will be a next time soon!)

It looked cool, so I told my parents we'll go on our way back home to Toronto from Quebec City. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, and I'll admit the waiting area isn't the best. When we finally got our table, it was tucked in the corner of the restaurant by the windows. Thankfully it was insulated well despite a cold night. The food concept is pretty unique here, as Southeast Asian cuisine isn't too common overall. We decided to share a bunch of dishes to increase the variety of foods. Pork Belly Steamed Buns - Excellent Laksa Soup with Chicken - Excellent, and I like how they separated the satay on a spoon. Satay Babi - This was an item from their special menu, which is basically satay pork skewers. It was also very good. Fried chicken - Nothing special, could probably skip this. Char kway teow - Very uniquely done. I wasn't expecting clams on it, and it was an excellent addition. Service was also amazing. There are some other dishes that I wasn't able to try, and I would say the uniqueness of this place will entice me to return here.

Management in the restaurant was arrogant and offensive. On top of everything the $23.00 pho was the worst pho I have ever tasted. The worst part: I emailed the buisiness to offer them my grievance. They requested I detail my poor experiences by email, which I did and they then completely ignored me (i received no responce). Poor Management. Terrible food that is overpriced. My absolute favorites were the spicy beef tataki salad and the pork buns (you could see both in my pictures), and I'll most likely order both next time I go. I also liked the shiso leaf appetizer and the pork imperial rolls, but I wasn't as crazy about them. The service was great too. All of the things our waitress suggested we liked. My only critique is the price. For the price that you pay, I find the portions to be small and it is very easy to rack up a big bill, especially if you are hungry. I would have easily rated this restaurant 5 stars if the prices were a little cheaper or the portions a little bigger.

In my opinion, not everyone gets sushi right, specifically with the freshness of the fish, so we were pleasantly surprised to find Kyo. Our group included 4 people who are absolutely obsessed with Sushi, and so I was curious what their take was. I tried the Snake roll, edamame, and requested an avocado/ cucumber roll which they made for me. The rest of the group tried the rainbow roll, chefs choice Maki combination, chefs choice sushi combination, tonkatsu pork, and the beignets for dessert. Let me start off by mentioning the incredibly kind service we received from the hostess, server, and staff the entire night. On an incredibly busy Friday night, they maintained their patience as the restaurant was completely booked, and were kind and pleasant in every interaction. The restaurant itself is beautifully located in downtown, clean, and spacious. You do not feel rushed to eat. The food was so good we have decided to go back for dinner one more night before traveling back home. The vegetables and fish are fresh, the portions are perfect yet generous, and overall, id rate this restaurant a 12/10. Highly recommend if you're in Montreal and looking for good food.

I thought I had pre-booked a reservation, and we were running late. Parking in this area can be a trick. I dropped my wife off and continued to locate parking. She contacted me and said there was no reservation. I panicked as I parked my truck and sifted through my emails for a confirmation. I hustled the 0.4 miles back to her. When I went in the hostess said it wouldn't be a problem and brought us to a table. My wife later told me she was offered tea while she waited. The waiter was on spot. He knew their menu and provided us with his insights. All the food was Devine. Beautifully laid out and brought out each course in the perfect time. My wife loved the hibachi, she doesn't eat much in general and I do most of the cooking at home. She couldn't get enough of putting items in the hibachi and moving them around. Guess I need a hibachi at home lol. Also my wife is 86 pounds, so she gets cold easy. The hibachi was the perfect personal heater too!! We had a great time together. The ambiance had that perfect Japanese appeal, while still modern. I used to live in Japan so I can be skeptical when it comes to Japanese flair & food. This establishment did not disappoint. So if you are in Montreal, I highly recommend giving this place a go. Side note, pricing is very reasonable considering what is included in packages. And the Saki I had was delicious and looking it up for the going rate they make around $5 per bottle based on what they sell it for and market retail price (place around the corner up charges 110%). So you are more than getting what you pay for in my opinion. And sometimes you just cannot put a price on excellent service! We will definitely be returning when we venture. To Montreal again.

Ambiance is a bit cold since the tables are so close to the doors, so we constantly felt a gust of cold air during our visit.
