Heads up this is takeout only! Orders take about 15-20 minutes if you are just doing a walk in. My Salmon Lover order was pretty straightforward - salmon nigiri and sushi with nothing else. I mean really. Look at the picture haha. But I had no issue with it! It was what I was exactly what I was craving for in the moment: fish was fresh! My group had a variety of other dishes including Chicken Katsu and Rainbow Roll (not pictured). Again- no frills, pretty straightforward; but very good fish. Solid place, much appreciated!

Lived near Plattsburgh my whole life and never came here. I missed out. The food is fabulous. She had the Plattsburgh roll and I had the Volcano roll. Everything was fantastic. Server was friendly and personable. My new favorite in town.

My boyfriend and I ate here while we were killing time before the Lantern Tour in Au Sable Chasm. I've had better. Our seaweed salad came to our table frozen with small pieces of ice still in it. My teeth are sensitive to cold, so I had to pour some of my hot green tea into the bowl to eat it. Also, the eel in my Dragon roll (eel, cucumber with slice avocado on top served with eel sauce) wasn't evenly distributed because there was no eel in 3 of the 8 pieces I had which was disappointing because I only ordered it for the eel. Lastly, my boyfriend loves spicy sushi but he said that they topped his Mars roll with too much of it that he couldn't really taste anything underneath. Our waitress was very nice though.

Yama is the best sushi in Plattsburgh! Food is moderately priced and fish is fresh! Will definitely be back!

Crazy Roll and Spider Roll. So good!

My wife and I have been here maybe half a dozen times and it's always a delight. Some of the best sushi we have ever had, and the Crazy Roll (shrimp tempura roll with tons of crab salad on top) is our favorite sushi roll, period. Last night we tried the hibachi dinners for the first time, and found generous portions with sublimely grilled vegetables and expertly prepared filet mignon, scallops and shrimp. Service was excellent and attentive as always. We live two hours south of Plattsburgh but visit a few times a year and would not ever skip stopping in to YAMA Sushi.

Got promptly seated at a booth & service came & my server was knowledgeable and recommended what I would do (you're gonna see what I'm referring to) & in the process got me a little bit of a bargain especially with my particular meal decision & did a prime rib with salad/bread/soup bar included. Ambience is very interesting because it seems from the 1980's music video days for few tracks I heard (not exactly bad especially now MTV no longer does music videos-?) but majority of music I heard was decent anyway. Suggestion for crew on the salad bar inform people "plates are cold, be aware" & just so people know.

It turned out to be some kind of happy hour lunchtime so it was buy one beer get one beer free. The burger and fries I ordered were prepared perfectly and delicious. The salad bar, although kind of small was very good as well and the turkey soup was delicious. In case I forgot to mention, or you didn't know, the soup and salad bar is included in the price of the meal. Overall, I would say this was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

There was only the high table by the kitchen door left but the food more than made up for it. We started with the fried calamari and garlic breadsticks. Calamari was tender and crisp, cooked to perfection and served with a tang sauce. They served the tentacles which is my favorite part! Breadsticks were toasted strips of Italian bread swimming in garlic. 4 may seem like a small serving but it was just enough of a carb. I had the stuffed chicken breast which was delicious, filled with prosciutto and fresh spinach. Filling dinner with enough left for lunch. My aunt had a cheese burger and the truffle parm fries . I didn't try the burger but it looked amazing! Thick, juice and cooked to order. The fries were a 10/10 so amazing! Crispy and delicious served with the best horseradish sauce Ive ever had Smooth and creamy with the perfect amount of heat to make your eyes water! If nothing else try the fries!!! After such a meal we had no room for dessert and leftovers. Our waiter Keegan was attentive and followed us out to bring us our togo boxes we forgot. So if ur down by the base I strongly suggest checking out this bistro

"MICHIGAN PLUS" gave me the energy (THE FUEL) I needed to successfully complete what NEEDED TO BE DONE on this mission... The minute you walk into this fine restaurant you're immediately greeted with the fresh aroma coming from the grill. The chefs, grill masters channeling their energy creating dish after dish after dish. BREAKFAST, LUNCH and DINNER! This fine establishment serves it all!! Even though they're open 7 days a week from 7am till 3pm. I must say my first time in Plattsburgh, first time at Michigans Plus...being recommended this place by a staff at the nearby Hampton Inn... I knew immediately this fine restaurant never ever "missed a step", "skipped a beat". The staff especially my waitress and the OWNER (whom I met)....SO DAMN PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY! EVERYONE TREATED ME with respect and just overall a great customer service. My food....my MEAL.....HOT DAMN!!! Now I know I had a large plate of breakfast. But I needed to prepare for this battle I was going to be in. This mission is important to me for my life and the level I NEED TO ASCEND TO. My pancakes were fully cooked individually filled with FLAVOR, my eggs were SCRAMBLED....SCRAMBLED(with tomatoes). My sausages and bacon all tasted fresh! Everything was fresh.... Quick side note (if only they had other milk options) but overall!!!!!! I am thankful for and happy(plus FULL) all because of the heart of Plattsburgh, NY....Michigans Plus Please support the locals!!!! PS: The mission was an exam.

After checking numerous reviews and website menus, It appeared to me that Twisted Carrot was one of…read morethe most interesting restaurants in the area, in terms of menu and atmosphere. My dinner experience there certainly lived up to expectations. The restaurant is small, seating maybe about 30 people. I wouldn't call it intimate, but I would call it friendly. The menu items are enjoyably named, with some interesting ingredient and flavor combinations. Service is fast and friendly; 3 servers can take care of all the tables quite nicely, with time for fun conversation as you go. The cocktail list is small, and the drinks are simply garnished, but everything we tried was quite flavorful and reasonably priced. As an appetizer, the Moo Moo Dippers, filled with shaved ribeye and corned beef and combined with the remoulade sauce for dipping. were addicting. My salmon filet came atop a bed of roasted sweet potato and corn hash and a sauce on top to give it more interesting presentation and flavor. The pork medallions were similarly appealing. We passed on dessert, because most of the offerings had some form of caffeine in them (e.g., boozy affogato), but I'm certain they would have been equally delicious. I was surprised the restaurant closed so early on days they're actually open, i.e., 8pm. So if you want convenient dining, get there early for dinner, because it does fill up.
