a cup of bubble tea on a table

Out of all the busy places in Plattsburgh on a Friday night, Sawatdee is ALWAYS a great choice! There was no wait and we had excellent service. Compared to Nona lisas, the Pepper, Texas Roadhouse, Applebees- packed, waiting to even be acknowledged or waiting hours for a table- Sawatdee is the perfect place for date nights and hanging out with friends. The food is significantly better than your typical hot dog, hamburger cuisine, here they have Chicken Satay, Pad Thai, Pad Siew, Yellow Curry and Bubble teas. The food is made by hardworking staff. The chef delivers the food directly to the table and the service is superb. Affordable price, excellent ambiance, welcoming staff, and amazing food- what more do you want? Definitely one of the best local eateries in Plattsburgh if you're looking for something different and delicious!

I really enjoyed this as it was not a fast food chain. I wanted some Asian food and this hit the spot. It's next to Key Bank as the GPS routes us to the shopping center. The eggplant black bean with chicken is delicious and the pad siew was yummy too. We would come back when we are up here. Service was avg but we came at lunch and they were extremely busy and still managed to deliver service with a smile.

This is one of the curries, it was the best curry I have ever had! The service was impeccable. I LOVED this place. Can't wait to go back.

This was supposed to be Mango fried rice with beef.

OMG. This has to be the worst Thai Restaurant I have ever been to. My wife and was driving from Montreal to NYC during Memorial Day weekend and after a long wait at the border, we were super hungry and decided to stop by Plattsburg. This restaurant had a good rating so we tried it. We ordered Tom Kha Gai and Tom Yum Gai. Tom Yum soup had to be worst soup ever. Even if we buy a ready made Tom Yum spices and just boiled it, it would have tasted better. Tom Yum soup is supposed to be the signature Thai appetiser and we could not understand how a Thai chef could horribly screw that dish. We ordered Mango fried rice with beef and pad thai. Pad thai was eatable but Mango beef fried rice was the worst fried rice I have eaten in any Asian restaurant. Picture of the fried rice is attached here. You guys can decide how it tasted. We returned the dish and they even didn't bother asking what was wrong. Pretty disappointed.

I was happy to see 5 different groups were dining in and a few coming in for takeout on a Tuesday night.

Great food and friendly staff. I go with drunken noodles and they never disappoint. I highly recommend if you are in the Plattsburgh area.

Food is tasty, sometimes service is slow but we'll worth the wait. Dinning area is small so we usually get take out.

After a long travel day we were happy to have some delicious food. The space was clean and had plenty of room to sit. Our server was very kind and patient. I love Vietnamese food, especially noodle bowls, so I got the bun dac biet. Nate got the spicy curry and my friend got the tofu noodles. We also ordered the dumplings to share. The menu is large and has lots of vegetarian options. The bun dac biet was a large portion and I was starving, but I even had leftovers (that were great the next day). The noodles were tender and the sauce was flavorful. All the meat was cooked nicely, and I loved the crispy egg roll. If I lived nearby, this would be a go-to spot for me.

To me the soup was to salty, but the wontons were delicious. So I cut them up with the meal. We shared a meal since hubs wasn't hungry. I cannot remember the name of the dish i had but it was chicken and ginger. It was delicious! I could really taste the ginger, but it wasn't overpowering. We also had pearl tea which was really yummy as well. I wanted to try some of the appetizers but I knew we wouldn't finish them all. The staff here ate very helpful and friendly and the restaurant is clean and well decorated. Check this one out if your in the area!

The vibe is clean, cozy, and casual ... perfect for a comforting bowl of pho. It has that laid-back Vietnamese street food feel without being loud or chaotic, making it a great spot for both quick meals and sit-down dinners. The service was warm, attentive, and efficient. Staff checked in just the right amount, were happy to answer questions, and made sure everything came out fresh and hot. You really feel welcomed here, which adds to the overall experience. For starters, my wife and I shared the CHẢ GIÒ (Crispy Veggie Spring Rolls - $5). These were perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, light and flavorful on the inside, and paired nicely with the dipping sauce. A simple starter done very well. For our entrée, we didn't even hesitate ... we both went straight for the pho. The PHỞ CHÍN (Slow Cooked Tender Brisket - $16) was outstanding. The broth was rich, aromatic, and deeply flavorful, clearly simmered with care. The brisket was incredibly tender, the noodles were cooked just right, and the bowl was generous and comforting from the first sip to the last bite. Pho Son continues to prove why it's a go-to spot for authentic, satisfying Vietnamese food. Three visits in, and the quality, flavor, and service remain consistently excellent. If you're craving great pho and a welcoming dining experience, this place is absolutely worth it. We'll definitely be back again.

We started with the Summer Rolls (#2 on the menu) with Shrimp and Pork paired with a creamy, crunchy peanut sauce- large rolls that will fill you up and very good! The pho was hot and packed with rich flavored broth- they also don't skimp you on proteins in the soup. The Bahn Mi was a very large size with flaky bread and again packed with protein. Overall, Pho Son is a perfect place to warm up on a cold day with yummy Vietnamese foods.
