Good flavors. Similar to Indian, but different. I don't recall now exactly what we ordered, but everything was really good. We had a soup with (I think) garbanzo beans, some dumplings (momos?), and at least two meat dishes. I think one was bhutuwa, and the other was yak-yeti-yak. Either pork or chicken. We all shared. I don't think you could go wrong with anything here. Just pick what you like (e.g. chicken), and it will be good. The place is a little tricky to find. It helps to use navigation while walking. It's downstairs. Once you know where to look, it is obvious. But if you don't know, you could walk right by it. If you're in Bath, you need to seek this place out.

Such an amazing place for Nepalese food in Bath! I was so thankful we made a point to get food here as the food was prepared with such amazing taste. We got lamb and pork. The meat was cooked through and the sauce on the meat was amazing. They give you the options of ordering set meals or ordering everything A La Carte. We chose to go with A La Carte as we didn't need as much rice. If you are making a trip out to Bath and need a great local location, definitely check out Yak Yeti Yak

This place is absolutely delicious and we would love to come again. We tried medium spice and it was a totally manageable heat for the lamb and pork dishes.

Fantastic Nepalese food at a reasonable price. We ordered food with a mild spice level, still everything was very tasty.

    Full meal... tasty!!

Loved traveling down the steps to the basement like in Pans Labyrinth where the restaurant is located. Keep an eye out on the sidewalk for their sign. The service was a bit slow, but once I had the servers attention, he was informative and pleasant. Dipping sauce tastes floral like roses and hand soap. Not palitable to me. Tell me what you think. The lentils are traditionally buttery good. If they were Chardonnay I'd say they were oaky! I enjoyed the meal as well as the beverage special. I just wish I could have tried them more than once before a review... but, alas, I'm traveling. .

After reading all the fabulous reviews, I had to try the place. I would say I was a tad bit disappointed. First the good bits though - nice ambience: love the low seating area, the little trinkets, the coziness | good service: nice, sweet staff | food: loved the bhaat and chilli chicken - lip smackingly good!! Had it not been for the yummy bhaat, they would have been a star down for the smelly glass I got for my drink. Skin wrenchingly ghastly! The chutney with the momos/dimsums was horrid - very bitter and needs to come with a warning. I am glad they could accommodate us even after the last minute reservation. Need to work to smooth out some bits though.

Yum, yum and more yum! This place was amazing. Never having tried Nepalese food before, I was skeptical. But this ended up being the best meal of my entire vacation! Everything my family ordered was delicious and beautifully prepared. Even my twelve year old picky vegetarian gladly ate every bite! Recommend ordering a side of basmati rice for the table to accompany the entrees. This place is a must-dine when vacationing in Bath!

Cute little restaurant with cushion floor mats and regular chair seating. Chicken Johl (5/5): great flavors and the sauce goes well with the rice. Chicken was tender, highly recommend this dish. Yak Yeti Lamb (4/5): although the flavors were delicious, this dish was a little too salty. The lamb was very aromatic and the spices were just wonderful. Just a little too much salt is my only complaint. Service was good but the food took a little long to come out. Be sure to check out this place when in Bath!

Food was good here. The entrée portion isn't big but it was a perfect size for me. Pork dumpling - good Yak Yeti Yak chicken - good Chickpeas & potatoe - good

Excellent food, great service, reasonably priced! What more can you want? Literally a 1 minute walk from Indigo Hotel.

I'm not familiar with Nepalese food and culture, so it's hard to say how authentic this restaurant is.

Kathmandu, opposite Colston Hall, offers diners an authentic Nepali/Indian experience. On entering the venue, your senses are immediately indulged: subtle aromas of burning incense, infused with rich spices, create a mystical vibe, in addition to the warm candle light and captivating Indian art, making you feel as if you are actually in India. Run by a Nepalese family who import indigenous spices from a village in their home country, the restaurant produces a diverse range of curries. My favourite is the chicken Pasanda, a dish simply oozing with creamy, yogurty goodness and unique blends of spices. You can expect to pay more than is usual for Indian cuisine, but your experience is guaranteed to make those extra pennies seem worthwhile.

They must polish these things day and night, because I was totally convinced, until I noticed one of the join lines a good few minutes later (and it wasn't just me, to note, I heard another couple say exactly the same thing as we were leaving). I must recommend the vegetable tikka massala - I know, I'm not very adventurous - but I have a policy of always judging a place by its massala. Once that test's been passed, I'm willing to come back and try something a little more exciting. I expect the staff at Kathmandu will be seeing a fair bit more of me in the coming months, then.

The Natraj is certainly a well established restaurant as I'm pretty sure it was here when I moved to Bristol in the early 80s. Curries are not quite as popular as they were back then from what I can see, but the Natraj keeps on keeping on with its range of traditional Indian dishes. My current favourite is the butter chicken with boiled rice, with a naan and some cucumber raita unadventurous I know but delicious. Plus it's licensed, so you can enjoy a quick pint of Kingfisher and a scan of the Sun while you're waiting. The atmos is authentic old-school Indian restaurant, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Spot on!
