Not only can you eat well in Kidlington but you never have any problem parking. The food was great and the service was very friendly. There were a few other people eating as well and they were obviously regulars as they were asking after the owner. Our waiter was very apologetic about the length of time it took for our order to appear - we hadn't actually noticed a delay - he said it was because the owner was away for a week so they had one less member of staff. They are obviously used to providing a very speedy service - perhaps because of all the takeaways they do. Whilst we were there one member of staff was continually busy on the phone taking orders. Their takeaways are obviously very popular and they deliver to quite a wide area. None of this interfered with our enjoyment of our meal. It just gave it a nice neighbourhood feel. The food is Bangladshi / Indian.

I went in on a Saturday lunchtime and found the service very efficient without feeling rushed. It was surprisingly quiet, so we forgot about the world around and were able to concentrate on the delicious food. The dishes are in the range of about £3.50 - £5.50 each and they're usually split into 2-3 bits, so can be shared if necessary. I recommend getting bread as well - it's great for soaking up sauces and is nice, soft ciabatta style with tomato sauce to dip it in. Particularly recommended: - deep-fried chicken soaked in garlic - not at all greasy and very tasty - potato with layers of goats cheese, ham and tomato - prawns with scrambled egg and asparagus (much, much taster than it sounds!) The sangria comes with a good amount of fruit in it and at £3 a glass is cheap and plenty enough to last a meal (if you can resist another one, anyway!). All in all a really nice place if you're into tapas and a great introduction if you've never tried it.

This is a lovely place, decorated in a way inkeeping with the food and very private. The tables are well spaced, so you don't feel cramped or overheard. I like this place for dates or for a meal with a good mate. Always busy, so best to book it unless you've got time to have a drink at the bar first (which is no bad thing here). Go for a great, relaxed meal on one of Oxford's loveliest streets.

It's a true gastro pub with great, good value food that goes a little beyond the ordinary, coupled with a great pub atmosphere with at least 3 different real ales to go along with the full range of fizzy beers, wines and liquors. Finding somewhere to eat Sunday lunch at 3.30pm having arrived at Heathrow around noon was a pleasant surprise, but to find somewhere with such a well cooked, well presented menu was a real treat. Between our group we tried each of the roasts - pork, lamb and beef. Each came with a different set of accompaniments and the whole team agreed they were excellent. The beef was cooked just right, just the right shade of pink. The pork crackling crackled and the lamb was tasty and tender. The deserts were really good, with gastropub classics like sticky toffee pudding done really well, including some excellent custard. With a fixed price for 2 or 3 courses it's a really good deal. As a starter we all had mussels which were very well cooked in a tasty broth. They also have a good range of other main courses if roast meat isn't your thing. Dinner during the week was a more conventional a la carte affair but again excellently put together. I had calves liver, which was delicious with mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked vegetables.

As Indians, we're shamelessly inexperienced with Nepalese dining so on our recent jaunt to Oxford,…read moremy husband and I decided to stop by Kadai & Naan for a bite to eat to see what all the fuss was about. Kadai & Naan is NOT in the city centre, so if you're hoping to walk there, you are going to be in for an extended walk and tired feet. We drove and it was easy to find. Thank goodness. Parking is available on the street, but it isn't plentiful - go a bit early and park with that in mind. It took a while for us to get seated and there was no where for us to sit in the meantime so we very awkwardly watched others eat but of course, they seemed to be enjoying themselves, so no worries. We were happy to wait. Once seated, it took a while to get a drink order in but we ordered two Gurkhas (without realizing the size) as we are very inexperienced with Nepali beer. Yum! We ordered the momos (vegetarian) and the veg puree. Let me say, the momos were nice and the sauce was bright and refreshing. The veg puree is a sweet and sour thing and very hard to eat properly. The mixed veg is poured into the puree (a fried bread) and it makes it soggy and messy to eat. Yes it was tasty but nothing special - it's not something I'd order again but it was new for us, so we wanted to give it a shot. We ordered a paneer dish, tadka daal (totally bland!), lemon rice (poor choice on our part, it fought too much with the daal to taste lovely. Both are better on their own) and thick, fluffy garlic naan. The portions were plentiful - more than enough for two people. I do wish the tadka daal was more flavorful, it's always one of my favorite things to order, even if it's shamelessly easy to make at home. The service was great but we skipped dessert. Tons of vegetarian options, so we'd go back...perhaps with a bit more thought (on our part) when ordering next time.
