We had really good time there - staff was very friendly and welcoming; the menu was so extensive I wanted to order everything! On top of that they had Caribbean Sunday roasts, so even more to choose from. When the food arrived it was finger-licking delicious! We all ordered different dishes and all thoroughly enjoyed those! Holy wow. They do not miss when it comes to mocktails. I had the Guava Punch and the Passion Paradise, both 10/10. The pepper roti broke my mouth. Way to start the meal. The chicken roti wrap was solid, but not my fave. The grilled halloumi wasn't my favorite either. The grilling and sauce overpowered the halloumi The Mo' Bay chicken was BANGIN. The creamy sauce, the peppers, the side of sweet plantains. It was delightful. Order an additional side of plantains to dip in the sauce. Absolutely excellent! I was just passing through on my travels but being from the Caribbean myself (jamaica) I was pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem. Really good food & decent drinks. The goat curry is not spicy despite the use of scotch bonnet, the chicken curry is spicier. This place is definitely loud so don't count on a lot of easy conversation at your table. Food came out pretty quick on a Friday night. read more

Delicious Caribbean comfort food. We got the BBQ pork belly with jerk sauce, jerk chicken with coconut sauce, and rum cake. We loved the sweet potato fries side. The sauces provided on the table are delicious. Pork belly is very juicy, and the jerk chicken was a sizable half-chicken. Rum cake was a breadier, fluffier version, but still hit the spot! I was very impressed with the lovely decorated interior which immediately took me to the Carribean. Cozy amostphere. The staff were absolutely wonderful, especially the waitress who served us. She was very friendly, attentive and smiley. Food was presented nicely yet the quality was average. I ordered a pulled pork bun and the pork was a bit blant. I'm studying abroad and my classmate had her two-year-old son, they refused us service don't take children after 9 PM. So we went back the next day for lunch. The service was great, the food was amazing. It's spicy and flavorful, decor was tropical bright and happy. Rice had a clove aftertaste that wasn't overwelming and it was amazing! Was skeptical when I didn't see too many likely Caribbean-looking cooks in the kitchen, but this place is legit. I would consider it Pan-Caribbean fusion of sorts, a mix of standard Jamaican fare with dishes and flavors from other Caribbean cuisines in the mix. The curry one pots are the standouts; the jerk chicken was fair. The waitstaff warns you about the spiciness of the food, but I found it generally mildly spicy; a good thing as the curries are flavorful and don't need the heat. If you're dying for heat, they supply a variety of hot pepper sauces. There's a bit of kitsch with decor and you can expect the typically fruity beachside cocktails at the bar, but overall the place is nice break from pub fare. read more

I came here for the Valentine's Day dinner, which consisted of four courses, with all except the main to share. The food was absolutely incredible and the service was pleasant. As one can see from the pictures already posted, much of the food is served in pots, and the atmosphere is colorful and bold. There is only one vegetarian option on the menu but it's worth it. We were sadly disappointed with the experience. Being on an one day trip to Oxford with kids we choose Turtle Bay based on Google reviews and the "good for children" in the first line of description. The place and stuff looked nice enough, it was full but we were told we can be served outside. After about 30 minutes the food started arriving and half of our party of eight got their meals. Then my 4 year old was served chicken and fries that were covered, we were about to find out, with ridiculously hot sauce. When I complained I was assured we'll get proper children meal in a matter of minutes. After another 30 minutes neither him or the rest of the people haven't got their meals. We complained several times just to be told eventually that we will have to wait another 15-20 minutes for our food. That was the last drop so we cancelled the remaining meals and ask for our money back. What I find pretty insulting was that when I asked for the service charge back, as they simply did not deserved it, the waiter tossed me 3 pounds in coins even if the one of the bill was more than 10. Very, very poor experience. Will warmly recommend avoiding. read more
