I was ordering from the drive through and the women taking my order was extremely rude and hostile right away. Completely turned me away from the spot. read more

I only tried the black tea today, but it was good and service was fast! I went on a date and the noise level was quiet enough I could hear him talk without feeling like I was yelling over him/each other to hear one another speak. It was very comfortable and cozy on the inside with a multitude of places and seating arrangements to choose from! I would definitely go back for a coffee during the day if I was in the area! read more

XBC is a nice independent coffee shop which gets points off the bat in my book. Plusses are it's larger than average with plenty of comfy lounge seating and also a work/study room and patio area. Baristas are professional. I enjoyed my coffees and large mug mocha. Negatives are prices are higher than chains and evening hours could be later(closed at 8pm). read more

Great atmosphere friendly staff. My smoothie was delicious. The pastries looked tasty my friend had a cheesecake. I gave it 4 stars because the Restrooms are outside. They share the restroom with another business they very dirty. They have a code to get in them but they were not locked. Other than that I would recommend this place. read more

Food and drink always amazing no matter what you order. Chill vibe, however, very slow service and the only reason for not getting the 5th star. If they were more efficient, they'd be unstoppable! read more

Maybe not knock your socks off coffee for the purists. BUT it's pretty solid and the seating+staff+stained glass make it a worthy stop on the circuit. read more

Nice place. Plenty of assorted areas to sit and congregate. Even havE an off smalleR room for more private affairs on your phone or laptop which is nice. Do like also they offer free WiFi here too which is really nice. Now as for the java. Well I ordered a cappuccino and a shot of expresso on the side. They were a little busy so I will give them leniency but the cappuccino could have been a bit hotter. Unfortunately it was a bit cooler then hot which is ok but takes away from the enjoyment. The drink was good and definitely had the bold distinct flavor I like in my cup of joe. If only that one slight thing. Easily corrected though. Now the expresso shot was spot on to my likening and went down smooth!! So overall yeah I dig the place. Defiantly will be a place I keep in mind for my caffeine read more

my favorite coffee shop in tempe by far!! i come here at least 2-3 times a week. the bullmosa is delicious but i mostly get an americano or a cappuccino which are also super delicious! the bagels are great as well the farmer bagel sandwich is my go to read more

They're so thorough with keeping things sugar free here, which I so greatly appreciate! Really tasty flavored drinks, like the mocha x. This time I think they were confused because I got a regular one & a sugar free one & mine didn't have any sugar free flavors which is a bummer, since I'm not one to drink coffees like this without a ton of flavor added. But they were at least thorough in keeping the milk types & sugar content correct between the two drinks so I appreciate them taking such great care. Just disappointed not having that great sugar free mocha x since mine's just coffee with almond milk. Added my own SF syrup at home which is whatever I guess. The coffee here's a strong flavor so I prefer their fancy drinks but know some who rave about their coffee without anything added. Also love how large their large iced coffees are. When it's hot out & you want a refreshing huge coffee, this is the place. Took one star off since I would've paid significantly less for this drink if it was charged without syrup since it didn't come with any. Usually they're real friendly here & I think the girl was just confused by my order but the guy was pleasant & I heard the conversation between them to ensure mine was at least sugar free. So thoroughness is where it's at here. I'm just sad to not have gotten the sugar free mocha x I was excited about & paid for. Went here to surprise someone else & their drink was great & they were super happy so it's a win overall. Next time I'll taste it before leaving but I was pressed for time. read more

Cute coffee shop with a good amount of seating and they have a vault area with desks that offer a quiet space to work if you need it. My husband visited on Friday and had the mikey bean bagel minus the bacon but double the egg. He enjoyed it so much he went back Saturday and ordered two more. We had the toffee coffee and amaretto coffee made with half the sweetness and hot. Both coffees were good but im glad i choose to get it half sweet otherwise i dont think i would have enjoyed it. read more

Wow, I have been going here for years, and it has gotten consistently worse, it used to have a "coffee house" vibe but now it's all drive through now, no coffee shop at all, and the prices have gone way up. Anyone know a good place around Tempe? read more

This is a good place to study as there is a super chill ambiance. As far as their products, their drinks are average, not great, but not bad. This establishment is never super busy which I appreciate as the wait for drinks doesn't take long. The staff wasn't super friendly, but provided feedback on drink choices when prompted. There is plenty of parking so that's a definite plus. read more

very friendly staff, we basically became regulars to them after our 2nd or 3rd time visit. they always made good conversation and gave my friend and I a student discount for attending the esthetics school across the street, which we didn't know they had! we've only gone through the drive through so I haven't gotten a chance to see the inside yet. read more

Consistency is key. Had I known I was going to be paying as much, if not more than Starbucks, I probably would just go there, only because though I would rather support small, local business, I like the assurance of knowing my coffee will be made the same way every single time. As for the food, same opinion. Room for improvement. read more

Really cute and cozy cafe with lots of parking and stellar service from Ryan. He was extremely friendly and welcoming. The almond milk latte was on the disappointing side, sadly. It was super bitter and didn't taste like a latte at all, so I didn't enjoy it. It just tasted like black coffee with a splash of cream. I wasn't a fan of what I ordered, but I really wanted to, because everything else was sweet! read more

I like this place because they are open late, have a lot of study space, and their bagels and coffee are good. This place seems to be a neighborhood local spot as there are plenty of students and other regulars that gather here. It is a cool space with couches, a piano, open mic nights on Mondays, a back room with cube like seating and lots of tables throughout. I am glad to have found this place because it is a great spot to get some work done, but my minor complaints is that the lighting is dark, the music can be loud, and they have so much potential for having really good bagel sandwiches but the menu falls a little short. It would be nice to have some better food options as many people camp out here for awhile. read more

Their iced specialty coffees are wayy too yummy!! We always get their iced white mocha and we love how big the large is! Haven't been inside in years but there are always people there. Drive thru is quick. read more

If you are looking for a quick breakfast sandwhich and drink, this is a great place for it. Food and drinks are great. However, if you are looking for a place to relax and get some work done at or focus on some things outside of the house, DO NOT COME HERE. They BLAST distasteful music, the store itself is dirty and blatantly ignored in terms of maintenance, and there are flys EVERYWHERE. Don't come here. It's awful. read more

Super friendly staff! Great coffee and pastries! I recommend this coffee shop. Get that carrot cake!

With an extensive coffee and tea menu, I was intrigued and excited to try Xtreme Bean Coffee. Service was nice enough. I ordered an Iced Pomegranate Mojito. However, after ordering, I started to notice how dirty the place seemed. I was pretty turned off by the dingy signs and the gross tablet to sign for payment. It was hard to enjoy a drink when the hygienic standards of an establishment are questionable at best. read more

Came here on a Saturday evening at about 9pm. There were quite a few tables occupied with younger people studying and reading. The cashier was friendly. We ordered a chai tea latte and a hot chocolate. We enjoyed our drinks in comfortable chairs in front of live music playing in their dining area inside. It was a nice experience to end a busy day. The tea was good, but the hot chocolate was a bit too sweet for me. read more

The coffee however was Xtremely weak. Like they accidentally forgot to grind the coffee first and it was just a hot water that had run over a handful of whole beans. I will have to give this place another try. I met a colleague there and it was a good place for a meeting, but boy howdy I was disappointed in my black coffee. read more

I like how large this place is and the different seating options to suit your needs. This is a great place to meet up with people, close to the freeway- I see business men meeting up here, I've had study groups here and I meet with my tutor here. Coffee and tea is consistently good. Free wi-fi - make sure you ask for the password when you grab your drink. They lost a star because it's kinda dirty in there - messy tables and trash on the ground. read more

Best coffee and service in town, great pace to study and take a break!! I love everything I've ever had here from bagels to lattes!!

I love the coffee here. I also love that there is a drive thru. I go to the drive thru a few times a week. They have a new menu which is nice. I've been going here for 19 years. Last year they were doing something or making changes and the coffee seemed off and things just were not like usual. It's all good again. I'm glad the coffee is back to the high quality Roast and flavor I have come to expect. The coffee is amazing here. I don't do any of the other drinks there, but they have a red bull drink options. It's not my thing but they are staying current. As long as I can keep getting my coffee and some sort of breakfast food I will keep coming back. read more

Not so great any more. I miss what they used to be. I don't know what happened. Quality and service is down. I went a couple times over the past month cause I been going for 10+ years. I tried calling to ask what's going on in hopes they could turn things around to their former greatness but the number is disconnected!! Super sad this was a fantastic place but I won't be back. Here's the details- The last 5 times I've been, my order has been wrong Every time - sandwiches were made wrong and I ordered straight off the menu and this last time I ordered a sugar free mocha and it was regular.... Didn't check til I was part way to my destination. Diabetic- dangerous, so had to throw away a perfectly good drink! Panini Sandwich was skimpy and was mostly bread, very a very thin piece of meat, swimming in mustard- threw away what should have been a good eat. Previous time there was plenty of meat and it was delicious. The muffins used to be AMAZING- fresh, crunchy on the top, just like homemade but last 3 (different flavors) were all just like grocery store muffins, not fresh, no nice crisp on the top and edges. The pumpkin has some strudel stuff was super cold like from the freezer - disappointing. No more Italian sodas for lighter options.... Just sad. Please fix. I might try again if they fix the phone issue. Please bring back our beloved local coffee greatness!!! I'd love to replace this review with a 5 star come back story! read more

I'm on a quest to try a bunch of local coffee joints while I study for my bio exams. I prefer places that have couches or lounge chairs so my butt doesn't go numb from sitting still for 3 hours, so this looked like a good spot. I got my cold brew (good) and a slice of chocolate mousse cake (ok) and posted up on the couch. Unfortunately, I found the place to be on the (very) warm side, which was exacerbated by my proximity to the window that was facing the sun. I was surprised to see that there was no window covering, as I'm sure it would help with cooling the place down (and as the coffee shop is surrounded by windows/ glass walls, I don't think it would have a huge effect on the natural light that enters the establishment). Eventually I moved to a regular table and although the sun was not beating down on me, I still felt very warm. Combined with the horrible 90's music that was blasting towards the end of my visit ("I get knocked down! And I get up again! Ain't nobody gonna keep me down!" "This is how we do it!") I found it very difficult to concentrate on my studies. I probably won't be back inside anytime soon. The coffee was good and they have a drive-thru, so I will most likely utilize that in the future when I want coffee on the go. read more

Vibes? Good. Cold brew? Very bad. The boy at the front was cute but not friendly. If you want anything but an iced coffee, maybe this place is for you but if you need a good lil iced girl with oat milk? Not the place :/ read more

Friendly service, great bagels, great coffee, this place has become my go-to coffee and breakfast shop

If I hadn't tried the wrap and had only had the tea, I would have given 4 starts. But, I did try the potato wrap and I was not impressed. I was happy that they had an option for me, the tortilla was a bit tough and the potatoes were meh and maybe there was a grape or two on it? I'm not sure. I was starving and needed something. The tea was really good. I went with the hibiscus and may have let it steep a bit too long for my liking because I didn't realize that it was "fresh" tea. I was also sad that I didn't see that they had smoothies until after I had ordered my tea. I miss coffee shops and though I am aware they're around I guess they don't stand out the way they used to back home. It's a coffee shop, I could totally hang out. They also have a dog friendly patio and a drive through. I also heard a rumor they've got live music some days although that wasn't the case mid afternoon because well, who does that? (Seriously, who has live music mid day, mid week because I'd love to know) Anyhow, I am likely to stop back in to meet with my friend again and once I try that smoothie, I'll be updating LOL read more

Stopped in today and had an iced coffee with a little vanilla. It was so freakin good!! I haven't been in to visit in a very long time and I was super excited that the quality was on point. The service was awesome and covid safety precautions were visible.... I'm super stoked to go back and enjoy breezeway in the near future. My only boo point was due to covid they are not reusing cups for refills; I understand why this is important with covid but it's still a bummer. Keep it up and I'll keep coming. read more

Worst customer service from the female that worked today @5pm. There are too many coffee shops around to get treated like shit for a simple request.... ( a bigger cup for more ice in my ICED coffee ) Minimum wage for minimal effort, a ton of attitude, and argumentative behavior. The place is nasty. I hope after I make a call- they will be reviewed by the health department. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere. Had to watch her to make sure she didn't spit in my drink- I expected that after her childish, rude, entitled behavior.... NEVER AGAIN.
