Caleb told me they would pack the night before, load car in morning then arrive at new with time to unload. We left town late, and they didn't arrive to my new house until 8pm. When I told them that Caleb said they could move partially in, the rest the following morning, the guys said no, they are unloading and driving back to Bay. We used XT Long Distance Movers to move our entire 3 bedroom, 2 bath home from the San Francisco East Bay to 5-6 hours away up in Humboldt County. The communication was good, the price estimate was good, the movers showed up on time, and they got the job done well! The movers loaded everything onto the truck on day one, and since it was a long drive, they then drove the truck up the following day (with the truck having been stored in their secured facility overnight). Were there a couple of glitches in the process? Yes, sure, but that's to be expected for a large move (for example, some issues at the destination with not putting everything in the properly labeled room, so we had to move the items ourselves after realizing it after they left). They did accidentally scratch a section of the wood floors when moving the furniture out of the house we were moving out of, but I called the office and right away they arranged to have a guy come out and fix the floor, which was done very well so I was happy they took care of it! So, even with a couple of minor glitches, which is expected to happen in a move, I am highly satisfied and I would for sure recommend them for your move! read more

We recently moved from the Bay Area to Sacramento. The moving crew arrived on time and with masks. Upon arrival, we walked them through the 2-story house and reviewed which furniture pieces we needed their help to disassemble. The crew was careful with our belongings and made sure that the house did not get damaged. They moved all boxes and furniture in the garage and downstairs (sofa, loveseat, coffee table, media consoles, floor lamps) within a couple of hours! I wish they had removed some of the shelves in the media consoles and packed/moved them separately, but it was at least partially our fault that we didn't flag that for them - thankfully none of the shelves got damaged during the move. They disassembled the queen-sized bed in our master bedroom, as well as a large desk in our den, which was U-shaped and had an attached hutch. They reassured us, "Anything we disassemble, we will put back together." They respected our request to keep the carpet clean, by laying down carpet protection tape and by taking off their shoes, which I noticed and really appreciated. They also took care while moving into our new house (single-story). There was just a small nick on one of the kitchen drawers. We tipped them handsomely at the end of the day. They worked hard and deserved every penny! I'd recommend them to anyone who is looking for hard-working, careful, and professional movers. Overall, our experience with XT was great. This is more a 4.5 star review. Sam (the owner) is professional and very communicative, and was just overall helpful when discussing the move with me. We moved from the Bay Area to Seattle. The movers came two days before our move-in date and loaded up quickly (we packed everything ourselves). Much faster than the 4-6 hours I was told. They called me an hour before their arrival at our old building and even showed a little earlier. On the day of our move-in, the movers texted me about 30 minutes before and arrived on time. They were also communicative and helpful. The situation here was a little sketchy, having to park the truck in the center turn lane to unload, but they took it in stride. I did notice that our stuff was switched into another truck, which might be standard, I don't know. But I feel some of our boxes and things got a little banged up when switching between trucks. Nothing broke so all's good. I did have to ask one of the movers to keep his mask on while in our apartment/building and he promptly obliged. Moving is so stressful and XT made it pretty easy on us to move across states, during a pandemic. read more

They did quick and excellent work moving a bunch of stuff into storage, asking how I wanted the storage unit filled. They even managed to get a 6 foot freestanding bar through the doors of the house! Unprompted, they offered to haul away junk as an extra bonus for a reasonable fee, saving me from scheduling another job. I wouldn't use them to pack things for hand off to a long distance shipping company. Packing for the rigors of multiple loading and unloading operations is not their specialty, but they were absolutely perfect for a local move. FANTASTIC! My fiancé and I were moving to Portland looking for a moving company and XT responded immediately to my quote request. They answered every question I had and were kind and helpful through the whole process and also gave us a great quote. The day of the move they were on time and loaded things efficiently and with care. We lived on a busy street in SF and they managed the loading just fine. Meder, El, and Sula even packed some of our things that were in open crates and not properly packed which was quite kind of them. They drove through the night during a heavy downpour in the mountains and made it safely themselves and with all of our belongings unbroken.
