We really enjoy eating at XO Cafe. Had both Breakfast and Lunch so far and everyone was always happy. The quality of food you get for the great price is really a bargain. I should have taken a picture of the Early Birds which is what I got, Scrambled with Bacon (crispy) and Hash Browns with Sourdough toast. There's no way that was just two eggs as advertised. They don't make eggs that big. I'm always a fan of getting more than promised. The bacon was perfectly cooked and they use really long strips. I'm not a coffee guy but I got coffee this morning and I liked the taste but I always adulterate it with cream and sugar so don't go by me. This place is awesome, I work right around the corner and they have almost everything that I can think of to eat! They use organic eggs for their breakfasts omelettes, which I'm a huge fan of. There food is super tasty. And the workers here are all friendly and treat you well! The environment is very cozy and welcoming. The place is kept very clean. My first time coming to this place was this morning.. I ordered to go, was there on time, and my food was saucy and cold, with no silverware. I called the place to let them know (cause I spent $40 there) and the "manager" wanted to tell me it was my fault I didn't order the silverware and that I picked it up late. When I did not. I didn't even request a refund, just fresh food. And she went on to tell me I had to repay to get my food made fresh. Never coming here again. read more

Honestly didn't know what to think when we were driving to it but it was truly a gem. Absolutely hip decor. We were given our menus right away and sat ourselves. Place was quiet and clean. Waitress came over quickly and took our drink order and food order. Coffee was hot and fresh. Food came quickly. I ordered the Al Green Frittata with potatoes. The frittata was delicious, perfect amount of spinach and chili's but not spicy. It was topped with fresh avocado and the potatoes were bomb!!! I made everyone at the table try them! My daughter ordered waffles with fresh fruit. Waffle was fluffy with a generous amount of whipped cream but not too much. It was topped with bananas and strawberry. The owners definitely believe in freshness. My husband and daughter ordered breakfast burritos and let's just say, neither one finished it and never spoke a word as the were eating. Lol Restroom was clean and checkout was quick and easy. Definitely a must go to. We stopped in before heading to the zoo and it was the best fuel for our day. read more

Remember to support your local mom n pop businesses! This is one of those restaurants where the owner is present, very friendly, and checks to make sure everything is OK. My food was prepared to order, didn't take long. The salad was fresh - with tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, and sesame seeds. I had beef stroganoff which is a rare find today in restaurants. It's served over spaghetti or rice, so I tried it with brown rice, a first! Very good sauce, a perfect blend, and plenty of beef. Had a large order for delivery, variety of items from pizza to sandwiches, burgers and salads. Mostly cold and soggy and sad. Special tater tots were so cold that the cheese had congealed underneath the soggy cold tots in a hard layer. Fries were cold and starchy. Salad was sort of warm. Avocado showed browning. Pretty disappointing all-around, and I always use lunch to get our crew's morale up during a tough day. I think the value is quite good for the size of the orders, except that everything was old and cold. Would be nice to see more ample fries portions if they were fresh, a little scarce on those plates. I have only ordered delivery and have never eaten in the restaurant so I cannot attest to the quality of what's served under their roof. I did not have any problems in the accuracy of the order or the timelines of its arrival. I can only say that it was bad enough that I felt urged to carve time out of my day to write a review. Tonight my family stopped by XO Cafe to eat dinner after visiting Carmax. The restaurant says they're open until 9:30 pm, but they refused to serve us at 9:00. We left the restaurant clearly irritated. As we approached our cars the men that worked there, including the owner, came running after us and threatened my son. One of the men hit my son's car repeatedly and did damage to the paint. We had just had his car appraised at Carmax so I have proof there wasn't any damage an hour before the Incident. They also surrounded my car (I'm a middle aged woman), and screamed at me. A police report has been filed. I still haven't stopped shaking almost two hours later. As the owner stated, we walked away from his establishment. There was no reason to chase us and damage my son's car. It's not against the law to be irritated, but it is against the law to damage another's property. The police viewed your video, which showed us leaving your restaurant. Your employee's fingers prints are all over the car, and he admitted it to the police. I'll update with the police report as soon as it's available. This quaint little cafe has a great menu with great variety! We tried the Classic Benedict and Chicken Pesto panini with a ceasar salad. The eggs Benedict were cooked well, and topped with a rolled slice of crispy bacon - something I've never seen but tasted perfect. The panini used smaller pieces of chicken and was full of flavor. Next time, I will definitely get it with a creamy soup, I think itll be the perfect match. Then theres the service - something of key importance to both of us. We didn't love the vanilla latte and the wonderful women at the front insisted on remaking it. Despite my skepticism, whatever change was made blew it out of the water. The menu looked great online, but when the server said, "We don't have water, only bottled" I got the feeling they wouldn't be around long. I would've charged an extra buck for the ABC with eggs sandwich ($8.50) and purchased a water filter. Oh, the sandwich was fine. Nothing wrong, nothing to write home about. Plenty of avocado. Yay! I prefer my bacon on the sandwich, not mixed in to the eggs, but that feels picky. Potatoes: Normally I would've said the potatoes were bland, but because of an issue with my mouth, they were fine. Cooked through. I forgot to ask for them well done which is how I prefer them. And I forgot to ask for hashbrowns, so they came with very basic potatoes. Hot sauce: Tapatio, which works for me. Décor: sparse. I hate to be petty, but I kept reaching for my water, which wasn't there - and drove me batty. And I vacillated between 3 & 4 stars. read more
