I love what this place was all about, a nice local Portuguese restaurant and tavern in a small village outside the main part of Cascais. The service was amazing and friendly and the food was ok.
We had a fixed menu here so I cannot comment on the normal menu. The bread was great as was the homemade white and red wine. We didn't have much of a choice on the wine but what they brought us was really good. I loved both clear skin wines.
The starter was a salted cod rice, very traditional and sort of bland and salty. The main course was pork and clams and it came with an amazing sauce. The pork was too dry for my liking but the flavours were amazing. The dessert was also quite nice. I had two desserts both with biscuits in it and they were quite tasty.
I would come here again to try the normal menu before reserving judgement. A nice cosy place for a meal and a drink. It's family owned and not a fancy place. read more
