My friend and I were on a bubble tea hunt on Yonge Street, and I suddenly recalled Xing Fu Tang, but I have no idea where it was until I mapped it out. South side of Sheppard Avenue, with Green P parking on the street beside the store (no free parking sorry!) We ordered one Brown sugar with milk tea and one with just fresh milk for me (since I can't do caffeine as usual, especially at night!). It was definitely love at first taste! The sweetness was just right, and the caramelized brown sugar tapiocas were delicious. I'd say this is probably one of the best Brown Sugar bubble teas I've ever had. They also have the giant Fortune Telling display where you pick a random stick with a number on it, find the drawer that corresponds with that number, and voila, the paper inside the drawer unfolds your fortune! read more

My friends and I were instantly drawn to the idea of ice cream + bubble tea, it's a no brainer! This was my first time trying anything of the brown sugar craze (aside from the infamous ice cream bar once). I had really high hopes for this as everyone and their mothers raved about the brown sugar trend. I hadn't heard any place that did brown sugar drinks/desserts better than others and I pass by Xing Fu Tangs around the city all the time, so it made sense to choose this place as my first place. I chose wrong.. Milk Tea Soft Serve with Brown Sugar Pearl: I was so disappointed in this, I didn't finish it. The soft serve wasn't actually soft serve, it was a sorbet. The flavour did not resemble milk tea, I couldn't put my finger on the taste but it wasn't enjoyable. My friend said it tasted like earl grey?? I like earl grey but I didn't find that this resembled that flavour either. The only thing keeping me from giving 1 star is the pearls. They were good, fresh, and chewy, but the taste didn't go well with the soft serve. By the third bite of ice cream, I just scoured for the pearls. Like I said, I didn't finish it. Original Soft Serve with Dalgona Coffee: my friend ordered this, but I tried a little bit of it. It was much better than the other. The Dalgona Coffee flavour was strong and the soft serve was like your typical McDonald's soft serve. There is no brown sugar pearls in this drink. Ordered the regular black milk tea with boba just to give this place a try. There are so many other bubble tea places around but this one was physically best to get to by car. They have a little parking in the back, though to be honest, we just pulled up around the side. The tapioca was nice. It was chewy, but a bit soft for my preference. The tea was rather unremarkable. Sadly, mine tasted reallly watered down, and thanks to the whole brown sugar drizzle, it tasted like sugar water and milk. I don't think I would come back again, given so many other options available. It was also quite pricy for such a small cup. Average place but as always, give it a try for yourself! This is my new go to place for brown sugar boba! We got the Signature Brown Sugar Pearl Milk today and it came out really fast. It was pretty empty so we only waited a few minutes. The tapioca was the perfect texture, not too hard and not too soft. It was also coated in brown sugar which was the winning point for me. It made the drink more flavourful than the ones I've tried from other stores. Overall, it was a really good drink. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes brown sugar drinks. read more

This place is hands down the best boba place I've been to. And I have been to a lot. I don't understand why it is not as popular as the Alley. Probably because of the location. It's in the last stretch of Yonge before the 401. I have been here many many times, some on back to back days. And everything from here has been a hit. Their boba is the best. This is a chain that is fairly famous in China and has recently made a splash in Toronto. Compared to other brown sugar milk tea, I would say that this place is solid. The tapioca specifically is very fresh, but the flavour is still not as good as some other spots. The difference between the pearl drink and the milk tea is that the brown sugar tapioca is added to just milk for the pearl drink, where as the brown sugar tapioca is added to the milk tea for the other. I think the milk tea is pretty unique as it creates an almost cappuccino flavour to the drink. Overall, worth a solid try, may or may not fit your taste preferences, but I know this is hit the spot for certain people. read more
