A name change is needed to reflect the true nature of this company: ComCrap. I moved to West Palm Beach a year and a half ago and got a $70 promotion/month for basic cable and internet. A little pricey, but that's fine. When the promotional period ended it shot up to $110 a month! Okay. I stayed with it because changing to a different company is annoying and difficult because of how Comcast dominates my area. Then last week channels started dropping off my package without warning. Bravo, SyFy ect. I thought it was weird but didn't say anything. Then I get home from work today and literally HALF of my channels say "Not Authorized" when I select them. ESPN, HGTV, CNBC,,, I called up Comcast thinking it was a technical issue and the rep told me that those channels were not part of the package I paid for (huh...?). I told her they always had been on my TV until now and asked why they were taken off and if the perimeters had been changed on the TV packages. In typical Comcast robot-form the woman said that those channels were not part of the package I paid for (well, gee, thanks for the elaboration). She then told me for another $10 a month I could upgrade for a promotion with basically the same channels/internet with home phone. I told her I did not need home phone and that I would not like to pay more each month, I simply wanted the channels back that were deleted. She replied by saying that those channels were not available on my package and that I could upgrade to a promotional package with home phone for an additional $10 a month. It was like talking to a robot cactus with the personality of Ben Stein. I finally told her that I would simply like to delete my TV service. She said what a pleasure it was to serve me and that she respected my decision. She then told me to hang up my phone. I called back to cancel and talked to an Accout Specialist who was actually willing to work with me. She gave me a promotional $70 a month deal again for the exact same services I have now....however after 9 months my payment goes up to $115/month. I told her yes, because it will save me a little money and will give me time to find a better provider by then. Tread carefully when considering this company. Their services and (some) products are of above average quality, but they will charge you out the wazoo for everything imaginable (including service calls when their products crap out) and they are severely lacking in customer service capabilities if anything goes awry. . read more

If I could give a negative star I would. I had contact Xfinity for internet service because it wasn't included in my maintenance fees. When the building obtained service through another carrier it included internet so I canceled my Xfinity service. Xfinity sent me a bill for $201.25 for a cancellation fee. Cancellation fee? I never signed a contract or agreed to a contract. Now, since I have not paid that fee they sent the amount due to collections and it dropped my credit score by 38 points. However, my vote for the absolute worst company is Xfinity also known as Comcast. Xfinity provided the worst customer support, if you can even reach them by phone which is a nightmare in and of itself. If you choose to leave a message for them to call you back instead of holding on for two hours listening to the same 8 bars of musical drivel, good luck, because you probably won't get that call back in your lifetime. But it gets worse, much worse. When my development switched phone service and wifi to Hot Wire in December, Xfinity still charged me for the services I was NO longer receiving even though I TOLD them to end the service. I still had Xfinity cable tv. It was a real pain in the you know what, but I finally went to the Xfinity store and straightened it out with them. Xfinity owed ME money but they would only give me credit, NOT a refund of money. I would have been ripped off and I'm sure lots of their former customers have been ripped off by giving them credit they can't possibly collect because .... they no longer have their service. Fortunately, or unfortunately for me, I still had Xfinity cable tv service so the credit was eventually used. But ... When my development went with Hot Wire completely, and Hot Wire offered tv services, the contract with Xfinity was terminated. I paid what I hoped would be my LAST Xfinity bill and returned all their equipment to the Xfinity store. Finally, I thought the nightmare was over. Not so fast Pilgrim. I continued to get BILLS from them even though my service was now completely terminated and the equipment returned. It is now March 20 and I got yet another bill for $34. Beware. Xfinity is like a case of malignant tuberculosis with malaria on top. I told my bank not to pay any requests for money from Xfinity. So far so good. read more

When Comcast originally ran the coaxial cable on the telephone pole in the backyard, they never attached it correctly. About 10 feet of it was flapping in the wind. FPL came to do some repairs and took my coaxial cable and wrapped it around voltage wires. Now my Internet is coming and going. I called Xfinity and they had me on the line for 2 hours trying to troubleshoot something that I knew was not an issue. It's not my modem. It's not my routers. It's the coaxial cable wrapped around voltage lines on the pole. They finally make an appointment to send a technician out. I wait from 10 AM until 1 PM and no one shows up, no call, email or other communication. I log into my account to see I have no appointments. I tried to call them and am bounced from one automated service to another. Then all of a sudden a notification pops up in my account stating that they had to cancel my appt because they found some patching issues in the neighborhood. I took a day off work to sit here and wait for them for nothing. I have to call again to schedule a tech to come out. I tried their online chat. What a waste of time. I had 4 different assistants within a 5 minute interval, asking me to continually repeat what the issue was. Now they want me to troubleshoot again with the modem and the routers. December 6th 2024 I traded in my cell phone through xfinity and followed the instructions to send my trade in to Assurant. I did everything correctly but Assurant never paid me for the phone. Assurant still has the phone. I have contacted both Xfinity and Assurant over 12 times each, but nobody in their customer service will take care of this issue. My phone was worth $406. I am not going to lose that money. I can not and will not throw that much money away. Customer service for both companies is terrible. They have overcharged me two months in a row, gave me equipment and had a guy come out which they said was free of charge and then proceeded to charge me on my next bill. I got them to remove it, but they still charged me $20 over what my plan is and then both times just say they are going to credit it to my account and it will adjust the next bills. I would like to just pay exactly what I chose to pay every single month. Try to explain to any customer service agent and get help is a nightmare, they don't understand anything and then they try to up sell you every time. On more than one occasion they have told me that I need to replace my cable box and when I did I only found that the replacement box was defective. Their solution? Drive to their service center, wait in line for over an hour, and get a third box which probably has a good chance of being defective as well. And getting help on the phone? Be prepared to wait over 30 minutes to get a live agent. I hate these people and it is easy to understand why so many other people hate them as well. I've had Xfinity for over a year now and every single day, it disconnects for 5-60 seconds, multiple times a day. They sent technicians more than 10 times, changing cables, routers, etc. nothing worked. Their system has issues and they don't seem to care to fix it. The poor-quality connection has been extremely frustrating. I constantly get kicked out of meetings, streaming, and everything with internet. My smart devices connected to Apple Home constantly get disconnected, so every day we have issues with something not working. Customers be very careful when calling Xfinity if you are experiencing an issue with your service. if They could not fix it from their end, then, they'll tell you they will need to send a tech to "fix it". Once the tech comes over to you and "fix" the issue that is xfinity's fault, they will wait until the next billing cycle to send you a gigantic bill for the service they "gave". Then you call xfinity to complain about it and they will tell you that you authorized it. If you did NOT authorize it, they will still charge you. They also do the same when you extend contracts. When you schedule your installation, you talk to an XFINITY employee. When you pay your bills...you send your money to XFINITY. The truth is an independent SCHLOCK OUTFIT of RUDE untrained independent installers by the nameof C.U.I. cable installers are who show up, NO ID. NO company name or logos to identify them as XFINITY techs..BUT when they knock on your door (ALWAYS LATE) THEY ALL STATE "I'M HERE FROM XFINITY TO DO YOUR INSTALL"! mind you...youve only talked to XFINITY up to that point. I called for a recconnect of service since the cable was already here it had just been cut outside a bedroom window when the last owners left, and really only needed to be re connected where they had been cut. The INITIAl installer, "HI IM HERE TO DO THE SERVICE INSTALL FOR XFINITY" decided to bore a 1.5 inch hole in the front of my home and proceeded to run a new coaxial cable 20' long behind my couch hooked the router up and left a loop of excess cable approx 3.5' that literally bent up in the air directly in front of my front door. There was no slack to do anything, i could not open the door completely the connection to the the modem which he also placed and connected. We asked him to show us how to get on line since we got cable tv, and internet service as a package. He immediately stated turnon the tv heres your remote and follow the prompts. "I've have to get going as i am paid by the job. I could not believe what just took place in my home id just paid cash for the prior week here in Stuart Fla. That was 12/09/2020!!!!!! I called XFINITY asked them tocome out and address the install as soon as the man left. Still unadressed 4 days later i began to Gorilla tape the 3.5 loop to the floor. My story on Xfinity is very long. I will attempt to offer up the condensed version. Xfinity created for me two accounts at one address. When I discovered this fact Xfinity put a $1500.00 credit on my account. Xfinity moved this money from one account to the other. Sent me a $440.00 paper check. Reversed approximately three months charges. Xfinity paid a couple months bills for me. A $1000.00 credit still showed on my account. My current monthly statement ATTACHED. Shows my monthly bill to be $1179.96. Next month will be $1179.96. That is very expensive for tv and internet for me. I don't trust Xfinity to make up these numbers. Xfinity is hopeless. Although Xfinity assured me of coverage at home, in 9 months, I had 10 outages. No service! It's bad enough to have an outage. What's worse is how Xfinity handles the outage. For every outage, the technician NEVER arrived at the original appointment time. Every time they gave me an appointment, I had to reschedule my day. Xfinity repeatedly changed the appointment time. For one outage, the appointment was rescheduled four times. For two of those times, Xfinity did not even text me to let me know that they had rescheduled the appointments. I just waited and waited. Then when I called, I discovered that the appointment had been rescheduled. After you buy their modem for $145, you're stuck. Instead of automatically crediting your account for the outage, Xfinity pretends that you received the service, and they make you pay for it. If you have an outage for 1 day, they tell you that they have extended your payment date by 1 day. But IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO DETERMINE IF XFINITY ACCURATENLY CREDITS YOUR ACCOUNT FOR OUTAGES--either online or by phone. The Xfinity Technician gave me his telephone number and the email address of his supervisor. The tech's mailbox was full, and the email address was undeliverable. On average, I have spent 2 hours going back and forth with agents for every outage. The agents do not speak English as their first language. When you ask a question that they cannot respond to, they just answer a different question. Each telephone call takes 3 times longer than it should. Lesson 1: Don't get Xfinity. Lesson 2: If you already have Xfinity, when you have an outage, any appointment that you get is tentative. Assume that the appointment will be rescheduled AND that no one will let you know. I've learned. Camp out at Starbucks while you pay Xfinity for the service that they do not deliver. Plain robbery! How I regret my decision to pay Xfinity! i couldn't get through to a live agent for 1.5 hours. I am visiting a relative in another state, actually Albuquerque, NM, and that relative travels a lot. Lost service, I think, as suddenly the cable went out at 1:48 pm. Suddenly got a error message stating, "This device is currently not activate. Status code 340." When finally got a live agent said need to speak to only the owner. Did not even try to see if there was a problem or anything as knows the owner ALWAYS pays his bills. The female agent, not identifiby herself was glad to say cannot do anything! Would think that for the $200+ bill they outrageously charge they could at least look into it but they would rather do nothing, obviously, and if did get the cable service fixed they will still charge the owner 30 -31 days of service even if it was out for 15 days! Comcast would rather rip you off than help the customer. Glad back at my home do NOT have Comcast for hardly any service other than internet which I need and unfortunately have no other internet companies where I live. I canceled my service in December 2023 and returned the equipment at the beginnig of January 2024 after moving to my new house in another city. They disconected the service in my previous address on January the first but they charged me $80 in January the 20th. I called them on Junuary 18 when the transaction appeared as pending on my credit card account. After one hour in the phone they assured me the charge was not going to be made but that was not true. They charged me the montly $80 anyaway because they kept the automatic payment on my credit card. I called again today and truly their CUSTOMER SERVICE is the worst in South Florida, especially because the automatic machine that answers the phone calls does not allow you to talk with a real agent...
