We came here about 30mins after opening. We were number 11 in line to be assisted. No worries because our schedule was clear. We came in to transfer a phone line from Verizon to xfinity. We had all information needed. Louis assisted us and was fantastic. He communicated every step of the way. I felt bad because he had to get help with our unique situation. Again no worries as he was doing his best and was really great. Finally we realized we need to unlock the phone number. Once that was done everything was smooth sailing. Thank you Louis. Overall the store was open and bright. Lots of space and seating which was nice. I'd recommend that they label a section of where individuals with appointments can sit/wait and a section labelled for walk-ins. You could see that some folks were frustrated because it seemed like others were 'jumping the line' and all the other staff could say is they have an appointment. Worst and most degrading experience I've ever had anywhere. John, our service rep at the Danvers MA Xfinity location, barely let us speak before his nasty attitude emerged. Very accusatory and refused to even hear anything we said. Belligerently Told us that if we wanted to lower our bill that we'd have to give up services. Tried to bulldoze us & when that wouldn't work claimed that we were trying to tell him his job refusing to speak to us further. It would be nice if we could complain to Xfinity about this but it seems that most people who work for them have the same set of ignorant skills. read more

my experience was the most dehumanizing experience i've ever had. I will never deal with this company again. Once I retired and turned 65 I asked if there was a discount for Senior Citizens/Disabled and or Limited Income. I was told no. i was FORCED keep a $10.99 Sports package even though I wasn't in a contract. I watched approximately 12 channels on Basic and paid every month over $200. They lied to me for over 6 years. Now I find out about internet and streaming and entered tnis encounter with 6' strong young man who was threatened by an old lady who was frustrated and see photos. I few months ago I was convinced to switch to Xfinity Mobile. I was told that because my phine was old it could not be ported over but they would give me a free phone. Seemed like a good deal. Problem was that I was charged for the "free" phone. I called and was told it was a mistake and I would be given a credit. Then that next month I was given a credit but charged again for that month. I called again and given another credit, this kept repeating. I finally went down to the local Comcast store. They put me on a video call with someone who told me that even though I was given a "free" phone the representative accidently forgot to put the correct incentive in and there is no way to fix this. So I simply need to call Xfinity every month for the next 19 months and ask for my credit and it will be fine. This is a terrible way to run a buisness. I now tell everybody to watch out for this scam from Xfinity, My question is are they incompetent or unethical because there is no other option? read more

I had the worst experience. I was told by the online chat I would need some documents. I make an appointment, do in with the documents and told they couldn't do anything. But it was my fault someone who wasn't with me at the time signing up for my own account because the account holder on my account and I had to contact him to remove him. I then went to Saugus and it was all figured out. I will be going to Saugus from here on out. read more

I can't say enough bad things about this store and Comcast in general. The people here are lazy and dumb. They don't explain things and make you wait unnecessarily without being able to tell you what you need or how long it will take to speak to an agent. People with appointments are always put ahead of you as a walk in, which they don't tell you upfront. I waited an hour and a half for a 10" meeting which told me that if you have your own router and not Comcast's they can't help you from the store. read more

I went there to upgrade my modem. I made and appointment ahead of time. I did not have to wait long. My cashier gave me a quick question about adding mobile service or upgrading my plan, and was pleasant when I declined. I have always had good service at this store, but it makes a huge difference if you make an appointment online first. Our cashier was LF6. read more

This is for the store at 366a Broadway Saugus Ma. They don't even list it. Well.. I waited 25 minutes.. some rep then scanned my NH license. This won't scan sir. It's a legit license I said. It won't scan. I can't help you.. NEXT! They suck. I am cancelling my new Xfinity phone and staying with Sprint / Tmobile. They can't even handle a phone call. Later that day I waited probably 30 minutes.. Oh.. sorry .. wrong area.. another 20 minutes.. I am leaving this review for Comcast corporate. I couldn't find it on yelp so I put it in the first Comcast/Xfinity business. I've had somebody sending me emails close to 5000 and have been bothering me for two years. I called and ask them if they would please delete this person since there is no way for me to do it. I didn't want her emails coming through to me anymore, as far as I'm concerned it was harassment. The guy was very good on the phone said he would do what he could but he couldn't do anything until one of the security guys got involved so basically this person was allowed to send me about 800 more emails that weekend while I wait for them to call me. I got a call from somebody pretending to be from Xfinity but because his number wouldn't come from an Xfinity and I couldn't prove who it was. I took the number down called the Comcast customer service and they said that number had nothing to do with Comcast. So guess what two years have gone by and I'm still dealing with this person who sends me between 3 to 200 emails a day can't get it stopped I can block them I bought the phone I blocked the email I blocked everything I could block on my side everything keeps coming through to me with a little red X next to it I don't want it coming through. I want them to leave me alone and go away. I am giving them this because I don't have the stand why I can't control my own email. Why can I block out people I don't want coming to me and by the way, no I don't want to switch to the phone plan because guess what you can't handle your email plan I can only imagine what you're doing with the phone plan that is my review get different email get different Wi-Fi get different everything because they're overpriced and they give you nothing for your money. Worst possible response. My cable has been frozen 4 times in 1 week after spending over $300 a month!!!!!!! This monopoly needs to stop in this area! I think they are beyond ridiculous. Worst service store. I walk in to see some weird guy on an iPad doing check-in's and I ask him a question about picking up my internet that I had just ordered and if I needed who's name that's on the account to be there to pick it up. He sounded clueless and said to ask one of the two employees that were busy and had a stacking line of people wanting to get help. So I walked out and came back a few days later to be told that I would need to come back with that person who's name is in the account, of course. I signed up for xfinity online via their website. When I tried to activate my new service, they couldn't find my confirmation number, so they said. Next, the person on the line tried to add $40.00 to my already confirmed deal. Then he sent me 4 different updates, all with different prices and packages. The 6th time, he finally resent the package I selected online, but he changed my selected phone number. An absolutely ridiculous experience. No wonder why cable companies are losing market share to streaming. It's not just the lower prices, it's bad service over and over. read more

Today I went in because I currently use Xfinity Mobile. I was desperately in need of a new phone due to mine being broken and not able to use. I went in asking if they had any Iphones In stalk and the guy said we do but since we're understaffed we cant sell you a cell phone... like what? I am now out of a cell phone until they become staffed enough so they can sell me a phone. I went in prepared for the worst because 1) it's Comcast, and 2) the other two reviews here. Instead, I was greeted with really easy iPad check in. I waited a few minutes while they finished up with other customers. I listened to the other 4 conversations happening and they were all really friendly, pleasant, and helpful. People were moving in and out quickly. I got called up quickly, returning a modem I'd switched out. It was quick and easy, Erin was SUPER nice, and when I asked about the new voice remotes she said "oh sure, let me get you one". I told her I didn't have one to switch out right now, she said it wasn't an issue, no charge, and I could drop my other off anytime so they can recycle it. The inside is spacious and easy, there are chairs and benches if you need to wait. The worst part is parking at Endicott Plaza, but I got lucky! I'd absolutely go back again for any kind of equipment switching, etc. Really easy, convenient, and the hours are really great when you work full time. The only reason it's not 5 Stars is that it is still Comcast and they're monopoly thieves and they make me insane. read more

I've had Comcast Internet service for several years without any problems, and ignored many messages about my outdated modem. When my service went down I knew I'd need to replace it, and also wanted to check a few other things about my account. Checked the store online, made an appointment for my lunch hour, and went in and met with John. He was friendly, clear and competent, didn't try to up-sell me, didn't talk down to me because of my age and gender. I dreaded calling Comcast again after such great service from Verizon. But unfortunately Comcast is the only provider in Peabody. I placed my order Aug. 21st. with ground shipping. Two weeks later, I still have no modem. I called the Danvers store and the rep was not very helpful. She said it would be overnighted and blamed UPS. Couple days went by and I call again. Then she tells me to hold on and hangs up on me. I call customer service and chat for over an hour and they could not resolve the issue. Comcast service is absolutely garbage. They can not even ship a simple modem to a new customer. If you have Verizon in your area, you should call them today and realize how lucky you are read more

I walked in only wanting to return equipment. Someone greeted me at the door, took my equipment and gave me a barcoded slip. Then proceeded to tell me I had to wait for 7 people ahead of me that were also getting their receipt. WHAT??? why not give me my receipt instead of a barcoded slip. I recognized the guy at the desk, because he had been so helpful last summer as my tech-savvy Dad transitioned to a nursing home, where he insisted on upgrading his TV and internet service. Unethical sales practices- I received an email with a survey regarding my supposed "visit" to the Danvers Comcast location. I have NEVER stepped foot there. Long story short- I replied to the survey and got a callback from someone- somebody at this location had accessed my account and added services to it ( HBO&STARZ) without my consent! The person who left me a voicemail stated " my account was accessed by accident but he is going to keep the HBO and Starz on so I can try them out" UNREAL! This is such a violation of any companies code of conduct, ethics, commission fraud. I am reporting this to the AG office, it really stinks that Fios isn't available in Peabody because I am stuck with this horrible company ( boyfriend watches tv otherwise I'd cancel it ASAP) Nevermind I pay almost $200/month for the slowest internet package and one DVR, no special channels. They treat longtime customers horrible, new customers get a great deal, this breach of my account is truly disgusting, I'd like to see the employee fired. read more
