A short while ago I had come in to the Bolingbrook office as directed by the telephone rep I had spoken to in regards to a $70 charge I was disputing on my bill for a service call.  Manny Sosa assisted me and was the utmost professional while doing so.  He immediately brought in a store assistant manager to assist and showed him what was written in the system on my account, that I should go in to the store to listen to a call to verify I was told I would not be charged for a service call.  Apparently, this is not possible there.  Manny was very apologetic for my having to travel to get things straightened out.  The assistant manager became busy with another customer, and I decided to use that time to talk with Manny about my services and in particular, the X1 services.  To make a long story short, Manny took great care of me, adding on services and even a Self Monitored home security system.  All for very close to what I was paying before.  He realized that it is important to take good care of customers, especially a long term (20+ years) customer such as myself.    So far, I am very pleased with the X1 and the Home Monitoring systems.  Manny did a great job and was even able to help me get the $70 fee waived.  I am very grateful for his assistance. read more

Comcast is AAA+. Try AT&T. NOT!!! AT&T Internet blows and intro price will be 4x after 6 or 12 months. All customer service is outsourced to a country 10000 miles away. Tech support is ok if you are lucky enough to get off the tranfer and hold "Merry-go-Round". That could be 72 hours. Charging for technician home service when it's AT&T's error. WRONG. Xfinity cable computer and TV service in general are terrible. My cable connected computer constantly slows down or crashes. Many people I know use their cell phones instead of Xfinity or Comcast. They find cell phones faster and more reliable. The Comcast TV service is also dreadful. It is needlessly complex and unreliable. I watch TV on my cellphone instead of useing Comcast. Comcast is a huge conglomerate which owns Xfinity and other media outlets. They are so big that their customer service people just do not care about customers at all. Comcast owns NBC, Universal Studios, theme parks, Xfinity and on and on and on. They are too big a corporation to care about individual customers. i went to this store on a saturday afternoon to return a broken cable box. it was very busy. i was told it was to take 25 minutes or more. i decided to wait. sat in a comfortable chair and watched a football game. i was called in 15 minutes and two minutes later i was out the door. the woman who helped me couldnt have been nicer. all in all I'd say they did a very fine job. read more

Said the service wasn't disconnected yet and I have to come back again to avoid being charged the cost of the cable box. Was given false information from a representative, Nora maybe? I specifically asked if the X1 boxes can be separate since my housemates and I share the account but always had separate DVRs and converters. She absolutely assured me this was doable--I just had to plug one DVR first and then a converter and they would link up, wait a bit, then do it again for the other boxes to keep them separated. This was completely WRONG. I'm pissed that I wasted my time doing this after specifically asking if I could keep them separate. Comcast needs to train their representatives better--I can't wait to cancel Comcast and switch to a different provider! read more

How do I loathe thee Comcast, Let me count the ways. I ended up here after three days of comcast moving nightmare, only to experience more hell. What a great idea to build 10 customer service stations at this location, but only staff 2 personnel. Sure, I'd love to be the 23rd person in line and wait another hour, after spending 4 hours and 58 minutes on the phone with comcast. So, how did I end up here? Because I called comcast to transfer my account since I moved. And they told me to call another comcast number to transfer my account. And another number to start the new account. And another number to activate service. And another number for technical issues. How many third-world countries did I call today? Who knows? Seriously comcast, when your customers are experiencing problems, the least helpful thing is experiencing a language barrier (people with thick accents). Turns out, after 3 days and nearly 5 hours of phone calls, they transferred my billing but forgot to transfer my equipment. So the 1-800 agent told me to write down my cable box and modem serial numbers and take them to the local comcast to transfer the equipment, BUT I was told I had to wait 24 hours before doing so. The un-helpful 1-800 agent told me my local xfinity store was 2900 Baseline Road. Put that in your GPS. That's actually outside Aurora, Colorado. I live in Aurora, Illinois. Again, outsourcing customer service to another country, where they don't know the difference between Colorado and Illinois--it's a bit of a drive! Per the xfinity store agent, the 24-hour wait was a lie. And so too, was the lie about not transferring my equipment. In reality, the agent explained that the 1-800 agent "killed" my equipment and it couldn't be re-activated. So now I get to go back home, retrieve the equipment, take it back to the xfinity store, to then be issued new equipment. No big deal, it's just a 35-minute drive from my home to the xfinity store. Q: "So why did they "kill" my equipment?" A: "Because it was outdated." Q: "But I just opened the account 3 months ago. How can it be outdated?" A: "It's just outdated. They have newer equipment." My TV is from 1989. My desktop computer is from 2000. My cell phone is from 2012. Yet comcast's cable box only has a 3-month lifespan?!?! Birley, the service agent at the store was nice and personable, but I came home and experienced more problems with the new box. This is my first move with comcast and it has been three days of hell, and the account is still screwed up. Yet, I moved three times with DishTV and never had one issue... just plugged in the receiver box and instantly had satellite TV. DishTV... only two outages in three years due to extreme snow. Comcast... over a dozen outages within three months, of which they still haven't credited my account. Unfortunately, both our current apartment, and previous apartment, do not allow satellite dishes. Maybe it's time to switch to AT&T. Lesson learned: Don't bother transferring your account during a move. Just fully cancel comcast at the old address. And start a brand new account at the new address. Had we done that, we would have had TV and internet the same day... instead of being without service for three days. I know that sounds whiny, but when you work from home, you need internet :) read more

Complete joke!!! Went to return box and was told i would have to wait over an hour. Told I could go next door and ship it back on Xfinity's dime. When I entered UPS the line was practically out the door all with people sending back cable boxes on Xfinity's dime!! What a complete waste of money and time! Horrible customer service! I am finishing my service with Comcast due to a move. I was directed by the Comcast website to drop my equipment off at an Xfinity store. When I arrived my equipment was taken from me but no one would give me a receipt. I waited... waited... and waited some more... I had to make a big deal over the need for a receipt before anyone would help me. As a customer of Comcast for many years faithfully paying my bill each month I was treated very poorly. In a world where customer service is tops on the list of 99% of companies, Comcast Bolingbrook is proudly representing the other 1%. It's safe to say that the employees are visibly "happy", to NOT help you. Sr. Sales Consultant Patrick, answered all my questions with a condescending, "too bad for you" smile on his face. Not sure how a Jr. Sales Consultant would act?? Assistant Store Manager, Cedric was incredible at defending Comcast policies, with no regard for my thoughts or feelings. After reading other reviews, Comcast policies are apparently designed to disguise the numerous hidden fees. Fees, I was told, that are irreversible for managers like Cedric. Easy to see why Comcast has the customer service rating they had year after year. Last in the industry. If the rest of the company operates like the Bolingbrook store, it's easy to see why so many people opt out and move to internet steaming. read more

I was beyond frustrated when Comcast came to install my equipment for new service last month. The technician did not have the right equipment or enough boxes for all of my rooms. I called in to speak with a Rachel who basically all could do was send out someone else...in another couple of weeks! By the way, this is after calling several times to be left on hold in dead air, hung up on, transferred to the wrong department- just *UGH*! I went to this store to turn in the equipment and just settle with U-Verse or Direct TV. I already knew I had a nasty attitude, but was very impressed how concerned Kenya was regarding my situation. Not only was she very sympathetic for other people's blunder, she was able to set me up with a earlier appointment & even a better deal with more channels & internet speed than I thought I had initially! She patiently dealt with me over 30 minutes! I still have my guard up with Comcast at this time regarding first impressions...but Kenya really help with cleaning out most of the bad taste I had in my mouth. I was greeted quickly, asked about my issue, assigned a ticket and asked to sit down. Before I could even be seated, an associate named Manny called my name. I stepped over and he enthusiastically asked about my issue. I explained my concerns and he said that he could certainly help. He didn't have the adapter but ran around the store until he found one at another work station. I then explained an audio issue I was having with my DVR and he identified it as an older box that had known issues as I had found on a Comcast forum and other online forums as well. Assistant Store Manager Don does NOT belong in customer facing environment. Not only did he cut me off several times with "Well that's not our problem", but he has this attitude with the customer standing next to me too. After this he goes to the back right corner to talk to lazy female reps who are sitting down. They are laughing and having a conversation about who know what while there is a line of 12 people waiting. Store Manager Rick, whose I asked to speak with, was "too busy" roaming the store looking lost to speak with me. The man was literally roaming around in a daze as if he was on drugs. HORRIBLE LOCATION! STAY AWAY! Call care, chat online, have a tech come to your home. Do ANYTHING to stay away from here. I feel sorry for Don F. (apparently theres 3 Dons there) and Manny B. (2 Mannys as well). They were the most helpful people I've met while with Comcast and the are plagued by this location. read more

After trying to talk to a customer service representative on the phone and getting disconnected, I used the online chat feature to talk to a representative. I was not 100% comfortable with the information the online rep gave me, so I decided to go to the xfinity store located in Bolingbrook, IL. I was coming in to the store with an issue with my bill (which I caused). The first thing I noticed was this store seems very organized in terms of checking in and waiting your turn. After my name was called I explained my issue and the representative was very nice and patient. He wasn't exactly sure how to solve the problem, so Donald Harris was called over to help. I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to the Xfinity Store. The facility is well designed and has a lot of interactive displays and TV's in the waiting area. They took my equipment at the sign-in counter so I didn't have to carry it around, and the transaction was handled quickly. read more

Where do I begin? I signed up for Xfinity cable, internet, and home security service here in June 2017. First red flag should have been the fact that Comcast/Xfinity did not one but TWO (even though I only applied to set up an account ONE time) HARD pulls from my credit report. Any time you apply for a non-loan or non-line of credit, cable companies, insurance companies, anything else will do a SOFT pull on your credit. Hard pulls on your credit impact your credit score because it looks like you are applying for credit, they stay on your credit report for 2 years and anything over 3 during that timeframe impacts your FICO score (Thanks for the TWO Xfinity!). I googled my problem and apparently Xfinity has a history of doing this, they are supposed to get your consent for a hard pull (because of its impact on your credit rating) and they are not. Moving on...Next issue was the installer had no idea how to set up my cable via cable card and Tivo, this setup was communicated during the install appointment scheduling and the installer did not show up with a cable card nor did he have any experience ever setting one up. Install took all day. I felt bad for the installer because it was not his fault that he was never trained on how to set up a cable card and when he called his own internal Xfinity technician help desk they were giving him incorrect information and one even hung up on him. I've had Tivo for 10+ years and every other service provider just gives you a cable card and you do it yourself as a self install, its not complicated unless you're a technician getting terrible advice from your own company. After the install we immediately started having issues with the Xfinity Home system randomly going off, thinking doors opened or having pets set off the motion sensor (which allegedly was not supposed to happen). The keypad would just decide to stop working so it would be impossible to turn the alarm off, which means you have to wait for Xfinity to call and tell them its a false alarm so they do not dispatch your local police. On TWO separate occasions, they called, we gave them the correct password, they hung up on us and still dispatched the police, so we ended up having to pay the city for police responding to false alarms. Xfinity had no answer as to why they dispatched police on both occasions, no notes were left saying the wrong password was given or there was any other factor that lead them to dispatch police. There were a lot of other issues along the way such as when 6 months into my contract Xfinity decided to start charging me 50$ more a month for my service even though my contract locked me in a price for 24 months, they eventually reimbursed me but it took many many calls and several months for them to correct. They charge you a "sports" fee and a "broadcast" fee on top of your service on top of your service which seems like a scam, why am I paying for you to broadcast my cable and why am I paying a sports fee, wouldn't those fees be incorporated into my overall cable rate? No because those fees add almost 20$ to your bill and if they incorporated them into their advertised cable prices and didn't charge separately for them, it would be more obvious to new customers that they're being ripped off. Finally when it came time to break our contract we realized they charge $220 cancellation for internet, another $220 for cable which goes down by 10$ a month after 3 months but the fine print that I really wish I would have saw was the $1100 cancellation fee for the Xfinity home security (goes down by 100$ a month after 3 months). After a year of service, I did not care what amount of money I had to pay to get out of my contract and cancelled their service anyway. My advice to you is to look into internet only options with other providers and web based al a carte tv channel options. We are now saving 75$ a month for the same speed internet and the same cable channels minus the 100s of no name channels we never watched. read more

I have been a Comcast user for several years and having gotten nothing but great service from this location. Most recently I talked with Devon, one of the Sr. Sales Associates at the location. We had to change names on the account and he was not only able to help with this, but he also was able to get us a package that cut our bill in half. I would reccomend this location to anyone who is fed up with calling and appreciates having someone in person to assist with your needs. read more

I had to switch out my cable box and was told no fewer than three times that I would not lose what was on my DVR as it was saved to the cloud. Well, you guessed it.... none of my DVR recordings were saved. I have been on the phone for over an hour trying to resolve this and was told I would have to make a second trip to the Comcast store for them to move my recordings over to the new DVR box. I do not trust they will be able to do this for me. I am unable to even contact the store directly. Having been assured this wouldn't even be an issue I feel as if they are sending me to the store only to hear one more time that my DVR recordings are lost. read more

Once you go in, is not that busy. You get greeted really quick and not to mentioned manager is really friendly. I went in and got an associate called Manny S. He went beyond the expected and deliver great customer service. He did everything to fix the problem as quick as possible. Is not that bad if you go in. She was very helpful and nice the young lady next to her was sitting down playing on her phone while there were 6 customer waiting. I enjoyed Tianna customer service, but I don't think I will be returned to that store. read more

I went there to exchange one of my digital convertor boxes and the wait wasn't bad the representative, Don Florante, was so polite I had forgot about the frustration I had when I couldn't watch tv. The Assistant Manager, Don Harris made sure my wait stay was comfortable and even provided some humor. Great experience for this once was frustrated Comcast customer. :) read more

Went in on the recommendation of a Comcast phone technition to simply replace my modem. After taking a number and waiting 40 minutes, I went from #10 to #8. The number of service people visible went from 5 to 2. When I left after 40 minutes there were 18 customers waiting with only the 2 service people working. This is on 7/13 at 2:00 in the afternoon. If you are going in there bring a tent & some provisions. ABYSMAL !! read more

I've never seen a business that had so many rude, ignorant employees. I went in to simply return a modem I had been renting. They refused to give me a receipt for the return and told me to go next door to the UPS Shipping Center and ship the modem to them, saying that UPS would then give me a receipt, Absolutely insane business practices done in a rude ignorant manner. Although I've had some difficult times with Comcast in the past, this was a rather pleasant experience today. I had to return my Comcast receiver due to an upgrade. My wait was minimal and I was helped by Mr. Campbell who made the process quick and easy. I have been with Comcast for over 10 years and have always received terrible service. They know they have a monopoly in my service area so I finally started attending workshops at my library to cut the cord and go to an antenna and streaming option. My other neighbors have done this and are quite happy but at one of the workshops I was told me to find a store to go into cancel because the call center is so bad. I went into the store on Boughton in Bolingbrook to inquire how the best way to cut the cord regarding equipment etc. I found out that I had been paying for a piece of equipment that I haven't used in over a year and they helped solve that problem and also retained me as a customer giving me the package that I wanted (that the call center said they couldn't do). I want to recognize Devon Coleman and his manager Rick for going the extra mile to keep me as a customer and helping me get the services I wanted and saving almost 50% on my bill. Great job to these employees. I only wish that their corporate customer service would understand that retention is a lot cheaper than acquisition and customer satisfaction is key! read more

First of all, I had really high expectations of this place because I've never seen anything like this from Comcast. I usually go to Joliet and that place is so much smaller compared to this store oh my gosh! It reminded me very much of an Apple Store coming here. I went to get a box at my Joliet store and then they sent me to this store because they ran out. I was happy because when I got there there weren't too many people waiting. They have even couches and chairs for you to sit!! I sat down and waited but was trying to figure out why the women in the back counter weren't assisting anyone I figured they were repairs only or something. Their counter is less than a foot away from the couch I was sitting on and I could hear them gossiping about friends and purses, as I watched more and more people come in and wait in line. This back counter just didn't assist anyone until finally one of them call my name. I got up to the counter and was assisted by Tiana and I could hear the lady working next to hear on a personal phone call while they had all these people waiting . I had questions about my box which Tiana helped me answer and I felt like I could definitely connect this up instead of waiting for my husband. She gave me brand new equipment which at the Joliet location was always refurbished which was nice. I would definitely recommend coming to this location as my overall experience was fine after I finally got serviced. I'm giving them a 1 star ranking because I don't believe I should've waited that long and couldn't believe someone would be on a phone call with so many people waiting, but if you do come see Tiana she is very helpful and pleasant. read more
