Truly if I could give them zero stars I would. I brought back our main/primary Xfinity box because it stopped working. I told him that we have a sound system that also connects into the box. He gave me three streaming boxes that you install on additional tvs. When I questioned him, he said "these are the brand new boxes that you can put on all your tvs and use as the primary/main." CLEARLY NOT. As you can see from the instructions it clearly states "If you have a Primary TV box, which I don't now because an employee thought you could use a streaming box as a primary. With all the money we pay for Xfinity/Comcast you would think they would train their employees at the Xfinity store. Absolutely ridiculous. This Xfinity store sucks! Every time I go there I have to wait a long period of time. I recently bought a brand new Samsung S25. I was having problems with the phone so I went to my carrier; Xfinity store in Bolingbrook, IL. I arrived the store, and surprisingly it was not that busy, and I gave my name and was told I would be called when they were ready. I sat in the chair and literally saw 3 customers come into the store after me and get immediate assistance. I went up to the Xfinity rep at the front door and said I just 3 people come in after me and get waited on. He told me with my problem it needed to be addressed at the front of the store; another 15 minutes later when no other customers were in the store I was assisted. The reps have always been nice, but I am assuming sales come first. If you have a problem and it is not a sale item, good luck being helped. read more

I am so fed up with Comcast/Xfinity that I need people to hear it. Hopefully I can prevent someone from falling into the same trap I fell into and I plan on leaving reviews wherever I can. When dealing with them, please screen shot and save any back up info you can! They will lie to you blatantly and waste your time and money.   I had the absolute most miserable experience dealing with the Comcast/Xfinity customer service online chat, to a store visit, to a phone call with customer service.  After my prices jumped up following 2 years of business with them, I reached out to their online help. After many hours going back and forth and a relentless push of a phone line scam that they wanted me to sign up for, we finally found a deal that I was ready to move forward with. (PS DO NOT FALL FOR THE FREE PHONE LINE SCAM - FREE DOES NOT EXIST). I have screen shots of the conversation I had, with rep Varun offering me an additional promotion that includes anywhere between $20 - $40 off per month if my wife went in to the store to prove she's a nurse. The store would determine on site what that actual discount would be but it would definitely be between $20-$40 off additionally. I even told her I have had very bad experiences with Comcast/Xfinity in the past with being told one thing, but then they would not hold up to their end of their bargain later. That is why I screen shotted the convo and downloaded the transcripts, which I would be happy to provide. My wife and I make time to go in store where we wait 40min before talking to Jack Scott at the Bolingbrook, IL location, and then eventually the manager. They informed us no such deal is possible and completely backed out of this promotion that was offered to me. Nothing was then done. It wasn't until another 3 hours of being on a phone call with customer service representative Sambah and eventually supervisor Zohid that I was finally able to get someone to agree to the deal that was close to what was offered to me!! It only took another 7 hours of onsite visits and phone calls to finally get that lesser deal. What should have been $70/ month plus an additional $20-$40/month off of my bill for 5 year promotion and no contract, turned eventually into a 1 year contract for $50/month. It was a grueling battle that Comcast/Xfinity did not want to succumb too, but I had evidence of the deal offered to me and even still I had to settle for this lesser offer which is ridiculous in itself.  Rest assured I have marked my calendar and set an alert to make sure when this contract is up, I will be immediately calling ATT&T or literally anyone else because I prefer to do my business with people who do not lie blatantly to me. The customer service rep Varun should be fired for selling an outright lie. Comcast/Xfinity should review and change its practices of stalling customers to try to get them to give up negotiating the bill. And they should really offer their deals and leave it at that, instead of making people take hours and hours of time spread out over multiple days just to get a proper deal done, when it could be as easy as here is our offer and you can take it or leave it. That would only take 5 minutes. But I guess they wouldn't be able to cheat people out of their negotiated deals if they did it that way. I am beyond unhappy with the way Comcast/Xfinity conducts their business and honestly think it is illegal. Half of the time my Internet does not even work properly anyways. read more

Was promising at first. I came in yesterday & sat down with Luis. LUIS told me he'd text me the details at 11:00am today for a "simple task" to finish my service. Told me I do not have to come in & that it was a few steps- no text, no call. Came in at ~12:20. Waited an hour with one customer he was with & finally got called ~1:10. Took us 2 minutes. My account was hacked and I changed my password and went into the Xfinity store ahead of my appointment time. They got me in early. The person who worked with me could not tear my phone number away from the person who ordered a new iPhone on my account at first, so he called in for help. After a few tries they were able to get my number back on my phone and reimbursed me for the money that the [offensive name redacted] took from me for the cost of the iPhone. Since the Comcast store closed in Lisle, this is our closest store. Even the service person who had to come out to our home said he wished the store employees would stop lying to customers. This is now the SECOND time that an "all you have to do . . ." change took days, multiple people, a trip to Home Depot for parts, and loss of service for several days. STOP LYING. We were able to get and appointment the next day after stopping in the this store (which was the second in-store visit) because that was faster than holding online and then explaining the problem to multiple people who can't help you and don't believe that you would actually be happy to pay someone to come to your home to fix the issue the homeowner had been told was so "easy" to do. If my husband remembered the name of the young lady who told him it was a simple unplug and replug into another outlet, I would call her out by name. It required a complete rewiring. This company is totally frustrating to deal with. read more

We had to unfortunately cut ties with Xfinity, because the cost per month was too high for us. We went to the Frankfort IL location for assistance in cancelling. Our experience with the manager named Christian assisting us, was not pleasant. First, he did not acknowledge us by saying, "hi how are you?" when we walked into the store. He then asked us rudely to take our xfinity gear out of the bag it was in. Throughout the experience, Christian refused to make eye contact with us, did not ask us questions about our cancellation, or try to talk to us in general. After Christian took care of us, we had one more question to ask him. Christian then told us he refuses to help us further, and attempted to get the next customer in line, leaving us baffled. We attempted to ask another associate our question, to which Christian exclaimed "she will not be helping you either. I'm the manager and I want you out." We don't understand why Christian treated us with such disrespect. Was it because we were canceling? Was he having a bad day? In any case, Christian's behavior uncalled for, and left us with a very bad taste in our mouths. read more

Reading some of these other comments I'm bemused, because my experience was nothing of the sort. The minute I walked into this location, I experienced nothing less than professionalism. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was asked what my issue was. I was signed in and my wait time to speak with someone was within 20 minutes. I had the opportunity to work with Roberto! This kid is a superstar! He handled my transaction from start to finish, efficiently and effectively. I truly felt that I was in good hands. He was responsive, attentive and always had an answer. Once I was done with Roberto I sat with Alex who assisted me with my watch setup, Alex explained all that I signed up for and demonstrated a level of probity that is often missing in an industry that is based on sales. Overall this location was so superb that I will always come back to this location despite the fact that there is one closer to me (walking distance). Often we complain when service is bad but rarely appreciate when service is up and beyond! This location is full of countless professionals. My advice to the public coming to this location is be patient and kind. The team here really knows what they are doing! read more

They are constantly raising your price, charge you for service visits that are because of their failure. Every bill has to be watched as they are always sliding something extra on to charge you for. When I finally left after 15 years of being a customer of course they hit you with a contract breech charge. During a visit on December 19, 2019, Emmanuel placed a trouble ticket for two early termination fees that I wasn't supposed to have on my final bill. I spoke with three different representatives over the phone in October 2019 who assured me that no early termination fees would be applied since the service was below average in performance for the WIFI and Cable since 2000. And, the security system installed in 2013, never worked properly even after multiple service visits. Local police had to visit every single time we activated the "away" setting. I had an appointment and was with a consultant on time. Anthony was incredible! Friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful and efficient. There had to be 30 customers waiting in line and only 2 employees taking customers, one of which was the ASM. Imagine a Saturday and only 2 employees, mostly with appointments, what a trainwreck ... Very much like the DMV for cable television! The store is pretty new and very well setup with various numbered service counters. I spent a total of 50 minutes in the store a couple Saturdays ago. Not horrible. It's like the DMV in that you receive a number when you arrive. TVs placed around the store display who's next in line and what counters are open to service customers. Staff was pretty efficient and they provide ample seating to wait. read more

Then they call you and you're directed to 1 of 10 stations. You get a personal contact with a rep, so get their business card. Make a payment at the kiosk, or check out their services. Much better system than Lisle and Aurora, which recently closed. This is the 3rd store like this in Chicagoland. Too bad, I'm dropping cable/phone services. We're canceling all our Xfinity services as they are EXTREMELY high monthly rates at almost $300/mo with their very basic channel package. My elderly parents really don't watch much more than news and food channels and their basic doesn't include anything but the Food Network. Look, I hate Comcast with the passionate, burning fire of a thousand suns, too but this store had no lines, like 4 employees, and only one other person in the store who needed help so I got in and out pretty quickly and there was only a moderate amount of attitude from the employees there... which is significantly less than I was expecting. I needed to return my cable box and remote to Comcast within a week of canceling my too expensive for budget cable and I was leaving town the next day so I ended up packing my cable box and remote in my luggage to return to a Comcast store across the country. Actually pretty glad i did that because now it'll be easier to close my luggage on my return trip and this store was wayyyy more efficient a visit the the out-the-door no-moving lines at the Bay Area Comcast stores. Also this location is pretty massive for a Comcast store and and super clean. Seemed like a brand new store but I can see they've got reviews from over two years ago so they must just keep this location in good condition. read more

The place is clean and the staff is pretty friendly, but I had to wait about 25 minutes to be served. It was inordinately busy, so I didn't really mind that much. The staff handled it pretty well. The whole place is designed with tvs and little touchscreen pads everywhere, so you'd think that this would be a great place to kill time, but the problem is that every piece of electronics had the sole purpose of trying to sell you on some new technology. When my name was called, I was taken care of and out of there pretty quickly, but I was given "legacy" equipment. I had to call up and request that they send me X1 equipment (which is the newest platform). They don't keep that equipment in the store and had I not been an informed customer, I probably never would have gotten it. read more

After a 30 minute phone call, your options are to pay UPS to ship you a new box for $10 (your charge) or go to the Comcast store and wait in an hour plus line. What a service provider! This review is about Comcast/xfinity company and not about any particular store. I signed up with xfinity for internet service for my new condo in the Summer of 2017 while my old house still had the internet service from another internet service provider, I bought a xfinity compatible modem from Best Buy, the fastest one for xfinity Best Buy said. Well, it diidn't work, xfinity told me to use theirs, so their technician brought a modem (there is a $10 monthly rental fee) and installed it in September, a few months later, whenever the connection started to have problems I would call and the recorded messages would automatically detect my location and sent a signal out to my modem to restore the connection. Fast forward to April 2018, the connection problem became more frequent, after more than a month of struggling with the connection issues, I started to speak with real persons when the connection problems arose, and the nightmares started, all these time when xfinity was not working, I would go to my old house to use my internet connection and my cellphone data from another internet service provider to do my work and to communicate with xfinity, all the while ComCast automatically charges my credit card every month. 2 days ago (6/21/2018, about one and a half months without steady conncetion at my condo) I was speaking with a tech support person after spending about 20 minutes communicating with their phone recordings and receiving automatic signals to my modem and failed, this technician started to tell me that why there is connection problems, he said: "xfinity is using 2 band width to transmit the signal the signal bounds back and forth from one band width to another, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, when it doesn't, well, you loose connection......, blah..blah..blah...", I interrupted him by saying: "please don't tell me why xfinity doesn't work, please just find the problem and fix it so I can get the connection.", he said: "I am surprised you don't want to know why it didn't work??? and you don't want to know what I need to do to try to fix it??? well, a lot of people would want to know why there is connection problem....", and he insisted on telling me more, I hang up. I called back again and got switched back and forth, at one point, one technician said it could be the modem gone bad because the modem would only be good for a few months, (yet I was charged $10 monthly rental fee good or bad). At another point, a technician told me that he wasn't equipped to provide the help with this kind of problem and that he needed to escalade the call to the "Advanced Department", after holding for a few minutes, a woman technician came to the phone asking me "what can I help you with?", so I repeated the reason for the nth time what I was holding the phone for, and she said:"OOHHH, well, you need to go switch off the power", "you need to tell me the xxx number written on the modem", "you need too plug in the ethernet cable to your computer",...... after I did all of these, she vanished, I could not believe she just walked off, she, the advanced technician??? I dialed the number again and spoke yet with another technician...... I decided to close my account at this point after several hours communicating with xfinity (from 10 am to about 5pm), it was a maddening experience, I wish I had never sighed up with xfinity. I went to a local xfinity store to cancel the service, I was told that xfinity would charge me an early cancellation fee. She also reminded me not to forget to return the modem otherwise xfinity would charge me for that. I called my credit card company to stop paying the monthly auto charges from xfinity, I was told that xfinity already charged me for July, but it was still "pending", so they got rid of that charge. (a side note: Comcast installed an utility box in my backyard without my permission, without an easement provision. I voluntarily gave up 4 feet strip of land of my backyard for all utility companies to put their utility box in, and I put a fence there to separate that 4 feet strip of land and my backyard, all but Comcast sneaked in my backyard and put a box in my yard without my permission or my knowledge, I called and requested a removal service, a removal service ticket was created, Cocast categorizes this kind of service as "ERONE" service ticket, they do not put it in your account, because they are never going to honor it. My attorney is in the process of filing a complaint to have it removed.) read more

A short while ago I had come in to the Bolingbrook office as directed by the telephone rep I had spoken to in regards to a $70 charge I was disputing on my bill for a service call.  Manny Sosa assisted me and was the utmost professional while doing so.  He immediately brought in a store assistant manager to assist and showed him what was written in the system on my account, that I should go in to the store to listen to a call to verify I was told I would not be charged for a service call.  Apparently, this is not possible there.  Manny was very apologetic for my having to travel to get things straightened out.  The assistant manager became busy with another customer, and I decided to use that time to talk with Manny about my services and in particular, the X1 services.  To make a long story short, Manny took great care of me, adding on services and even a Self Monitored home security system.  All for very close to what I was paying before.  He realized that it is important to take good care of customers, especially a long term (20+ years) customer such as myself.    So far, I am very pleased with the X1 and the Home Monitoring systems.  Manny did a great job and was even able to help me get the $70 fee waived.  I am very grateful for his assistance. read more
