My tv and internet service was down for two days and required a service call. The guy was here for two hours and got my tv service restored but not the internet. He said I needed to call them. After an hour on the phone they assured me it would be working within two hours and it was. This was the second time it was down in a month. I have cancelled my service, returned all my equipment and switched to Fidium for internet and signed up for a streaming tv service. I saved $100.00 a month and my service has been reliable. Trying to contact Xfinity is the absolute most frustrating thing ever. It takes an act of Congress to get through to a person, the automated system that keeps wanting to send you a text to a chat assistant. I still have my phone through Xfinity for another five months and then I'll never have to deal with them again. read more

incredibly hard to do business with this company. was sent a flyer advertising internet service and free phone line for 1 year with a phone. Was sent cancellation email after internet install for free phone. They claim it was due to delivery problems with address. how did they find my address to install internet service? called back to have them resend the phone as requested by email and happened again. false charges to phone service for a phone that i never received. again had to spend time on phone with service rep with lofty promises of discounts. the funny part is after i get off the phone with them, i found out my internet service is down for half day. so i promptly cancelled service only to be tagged with a early cancellation fee. was happy to find out that customer service was state side based but it was like talking to a wall. might as well be ai chat. Repeated same line and basically told too bad, not our probelm. phone service is not part of internet. Not a trustworthy and reliable company to use for service. This Midtown location on 19th & S is not the same store it used to be. I've been going there since they originally opened and was very pleased with the service I've received, up until my most recent visit. I asked for Shareen and was informed she was promoted and they were under new management. The Xfinity rep, Milo, sold me a new phone (S25Ultra) however, he could not obtain a transfer pin from t-mobile. After I was able to get the xfer pin, I went back to Milo and he was unable to transfer my number. I saw the Asst. Manager and asked for her assistance, and she said she would intervene in a moment. Milo proceeded to mess with my phone and it was obvious he was way out of his league. He finally said he couldn't do it, I asked for the manager, who went in the back, and he gave me a smirk and a laugh. He told me she was in a meeting and I could wait. I took my phone and left. The next day I went to their corporate store at Arden Fair, and the Xfinity rep Nia, set me up in 10 minutes. My advice would be to look for a corporate store if your looking for a trained and knowledgeable staff to assist you. read more

Terrible customer service. I rarely come in person but I came here to inquire about my internet service since customer service via phone wasn't helpful. When I first entered, there were only 2 people in line in front of me. There were about 4 workers at the front desk but only 2 actually helping customers. I noticed the other workers coming in & out of the back room. When the door swung open, I can see other workers in the back room just sitting around a table and looking at their phones. I waited about 30min.... Still only 2 people helping customers. When I finally got to the front of the line, I was still waiting... and noticed the line behind me getting longer with about 5 more people waiting behind me. I gave up at that point and left. Therefore, I ended up canceling all my services w/ Xfinity Comcast. read more

When Covid began, I signed up for Xfinity. I stayed with them until this year when I realized i was being overcharged, I was paying $170.00 per month for internet and basic basic cable. I was offered a deal by AT&T for $60.00 per month for internet. One July 18, 2024 at 12:32pm, I called Xfinity to cancel my account. Jason was the representative I spoke with, during this call he offered me $59.99 a month for all my current services to keep me as a customer. I accepted the deal and when the next bill came it was the highest bill I have ever had - almost $200. During this call I also paid a past due balance and the next months charges - over $500. On August 21, 2024 at 6:04pm I called about my bill and spoke with Kyle. I told Kyle about my call with Jason and he told me he could not match that offer. He backdated my cancellation to July 18th. A few of days later I turned in the equipment to my local Xfinity store. I received communication from Xfinity via email and a statement letting me know I was to receive a credit for $135.94. I was told this would come to the card I paid the bill on and the rep gave me the last four digits of the card number and I told him that was fine. I was told in writing, it would be there in 30 days. Fast forward to the first week in October and I checked my card for the credit to discover it was not given. I called Xfinity - again- on October 7, 2024 at 1:58pm. The first representative I spoke with was Slyvester. He told me the refund would be coming in two weeks. I felt like this was unacceptable as it had already been over a month. He offered no reason why the delay was happening. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was transferred to Eriies, she was on the technical team. I told her I was holding for a supervisor for a billing issue and she transferred me to Sham. Sham put me on hold to check with his refund team. I stayed on hold for some time, by this time I have been on the phone for over an hour. A woman, whose name I did not note came on the phone. I told her I was holding for Sham - who had apparently transferred me to her. She then puts me back in the customer service que. Then I speak with Shivam - a manager in the technical department. He tells me I not owed a refund as it was applied to my account. I tell him that cannot be possible as I paid a month in advance and I had received more than one communication from them showing I was owed a refund - one in writing. After he told me that what he was saying was accurate and not to pay attention to anything else I asked for his supervisor. He told me he could not tell me who his supervisor was. I asked to speak to a manager in billing and he said no. I asked to be transferred to billing and he said no. I will be posting this review in several places. Be warned this is not a trustworthy company. In good faith I accepted the offer their representative made - it was a bait and switch. I patiently waited over a month for my refund only to find that I am being robbed. Nothing I am being told makes sense. I spent over an hour and a half on the 8th waiting and repeating the same story over and over. They say they record their calls, then they need to go back and listen to and use the calls I had to better train their staff. They are hard to get away from as they basically have a monopoly in the area, but I urge you to try!!! read more

FRAUD! My services were shut off randomly in September. I went to this xfinity location and had to reset up my internet. I have always only had internet with xfinity. Everything seemed fine and about two months later I checked my account and realized they had set up an internet plus phone plan. There was a phone number associated with the account and I had been overcharged and paying for someone else's phone. Additionally, my internet was shut off and xfinity said I can't get my internet back until I pay the balance owed... so basically they want me to pay an amount for a service I did not request or use myself because of a mistake they made and set up themselves with a phone number that is not mine. read more

I've been an Xfinity customer for several years, including the past two years that I've lived in Sacramento, CA. I have never had more difficulty with a company in my life. I received a notification stating that my *internet ONLY* bill would go up from $41.31 to $56.31 because the "promotion period" was ending. So, I switched to another service provider and received a receipt for closing my account/returning the modem. To no surprise of my own, I was billed $56.31 today. And when I went to the store to speak to someone, they told me to come back when the manager is on site. I love how it's MY responsibility to fix THEIR mistake. I have even more stories (with screenshots) to share about Comcast, but it's not worth getting into. Stay away from Xfinity if you can and go someplace else. I had the misfortune of getting cable internet service from Comcast/Xfinity for over 2 years. They had horrible technical support and billing systems. The issues and the saga I went through are: 1. Repeated reduction in speeds 15-30Mb/s downstream (from their promise of 500Mb/s), 1-2Mb/s upstream (from their promise of 10Mb/s) and increased latency of 30ms or higher (from their promise of 10ms or less) at peak work hours and evenings causing video calls to drop, video games to stall and streaming content to freeze. 2. The technician who came to my home to fix the service could only fix the section of the line between the street to my modem, but not fix the equipment at their end. Also the technician showed up at non-peak hours and showed me that the line and quality of service is at the level I paid for, but the service quality dropped back to unacceptable levels at peak hours. 3. After this visit, I made multiple calls to their phone technical support, which just keeps making me reboot my modem and router, but do NOT fix the bandwidth or capacity at their end. Comcast continues to use outdated equipment. I also investigated more and found that at the DOCSIS standards work by sharing the available downstream bandwidth. Comcast tends to sign up more and more users in the neighborhood without upgrading the equipment at their end. 4. Their billing department keeps making us sign up for one-sided contracts and offer NO guarantees for service. This is unethical. 5. Around a year ago, their billing system used my credit card number for another customer's account, but could NOT remove my credit card from the other customer's account or refund me for several months of incorrect charges. The recourse to this issue resulted in my canceling my credit card so that the incorrect charge would not recur. 6. Also they billed me for technician visits when I canceled my service, although the problem not NOT get resolved. This is also unethical. Despite my several calls to their technical customer service, they could resolve issues. After having lived through the incompetence and unethical business practices of Comcast/Xfinity, I would highly recommend that you look for alternate internet service providers. My recommendation is to avoid Comcast/Xfinity like plague, and go with alternate providers if its possible in your neighborhood. I took the step to switch over to Fidium fiber (from Consolidated Communications Inc.) which for now has reliable service and get 1Gb/s (1000Mb/s) for both upstream and downstream data, with 5ms latency or less. I could not be happier with my internet service after the switch!! read more

It only took 3 visits in 3 days for Xfinity to final fix my internet issue! I was contemplating switching to AT&T until De-Jon and Rodney of the Midtown Xfinity location helped me out today. For whatever reason, the Rancho Cordova and Elk Grove Xfinity's created/screwed the pooch, and these (2) geniuses were able to decipher what others couldn't and successfully got my internet working at my house by removing the TV service Rancho Cordova gave me and ensuring my Modem/Router connected with the MAC address I provided. *IF you want your service done correctly and don't want any issues in the future, request to see either De-Jon or Rodney at the Midtown location. They understand the ins and outs of the Xfinity website and services. **Decent sized parking lot. Large store. Decent deals around Xmas. read more

I had a hard time with Xfinity today both at the Arden location and online with customer support trying to transfer my cellular service / phone number to my new iPhone I had purchased at the Apple Store. After much frustration, I headed to this location and was pleasantly surprised with the customer service I received. Simon was amazing and so responsive to the problem at hand. He listened to our situation and solved the issue quickly. One star is too generous a rating for Xfinity and its Midtown store. Xfinity is the absolute worst company with whom I have ever done business, and their employees at the Midtown location uphold the diminimus standard of customer service. I tried for weeks to get cellphone service from Xfinity, but they were unable to port one of my phone lines and provide service. I tried four times to return the new phone I purchased from Xfinity, and ultimately returned to my prior service provider. I had to buy the phone from Xfinity outright (instead of monthly payments) in order to activate the phone with my current provider. Only after I paid in full, I was informed the phone would not be activated for at least 24 hours -- leaving me without connectivity with a disabled 89 year old parent living with me. Employees refused to call the corporate office to request the phone to be activated even after I confirmed with my bank the funds had been delivered to Xfinity. In my experience with Xfinity, they provided the worst customer service possible, and even management failed to follow through with their multiple commitments to provide assistance. I recommend ANY mobile phone service provider over Xfinity. read more

Working with Comcast Xfinity has been a complete nightmare. I have made repeated attempts to get someone out to my house to move the exterior cables off my siding as the siding is being replaced and the cables need to be re positioned. Five service tickets were set up and each appointment was cancelled by Xfinity for no particular reason. It is virtually impossible to speak to a live agent and if you eventually do, they seem very nice and set up an "appointment ", which never takes place. This company is computer driven and if you need something that does not fit their app, you are unable to proceed. In my opinion this company is one size fits all. This is not about this specific store, its about XFINITY in general. The customer service is very poor. I moved to this area and had to get my home internet from them, otherwise I wouldn't. It took 5 days to transfer my lines from T-Mobile. Called close to 20 times, was on call with them for hours. Customer service reps are not able to speak English in a way that you understand, they also are not knowledgeable and properly trained. The service of this company has gone downhill. They just don't care about their current customers. ALL of the extremely good promotions that they have are for incoming "NEW" Customers, and the CSR act like they don't know what you are talking about when you bring them up. I had a CSR ruin an old "grandfathered" plan that I had been on, mind you, I was paying a little more for this plan and I didn't mind as it had everything that I wanted. Now I was also looking to see if there was something that they could offer that was a better price for a similar, however, there were a few things that I absolutely had to have. Now the CSR quoted me a price for certain services and I actually have a paper that says the price on it and now I am being quoted several different higher prices...... Why would someone agree to take off all their movie services for a higher price..... I mean who asks to pay more on purpose??????
