Worst customer service of any of the places I've dealt with. The only reason I'm still with Comcast is I don't have time to take a day off just to switch to FIOS as much as I want to get away from Comcast. And I really wish these pricks would stop f#$%ing with my line causing the Internet and TV to go out until I get home to remove their line filter. :( Bad Comcast, No cookie. Wish I could give half a star. read more

Words cannot describe the disgustingly miserable service I have received in trying to have Comcast cable and Internet service established at the home of my 78 year old mother. If any other cable service were available in my mother's area I would never even consider continuing to read more

The absolute WORST company!!! Called after being set up with their company because we received the wrong equipment and they tried to charge us more for the service we already paid for. They refused to let us speak to a supervisor and said we couldn't get the online deal that we already paid for! Completely horrible service and company! Do not use them. Verizon FIOS is well worth the extra $5! read more

My family and friends have had very bad experience with comcast. Their service is slow and customer representatives are the worst. Have been hung up before out of the blue because the rep was impatient- just really inappropriate and unprofessional. When our modem broke- it took them 2 weeks to get to us because we wanted after work hours. Only reason we're still customers because there are no other alternatives atm. read more

I completely agree with every single 1 star ratings already in here. I just truly hope that they go down the tubes like the rotten dinosaurs that they are. The sooner they get what they deserve the better. Don't ever do business with Comcast or Comcast Business even if they are the only provider. Go with streaming video and an antenna. They come to my door every week to try and sell me and I am no longer nice. read more

If I could give Comcast xfinity NO stars that's the score I would give them. The internet works relatively ok. It will suddenly stop working for half a day but hey, once it starts working it works. The cable is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. The screen goes completely black and takes 5-10 min for the picture to come back on. And at least once a month the screen goes completely blue and says the settop is NOT AUTHORIZED. I ALWAYS pay my bill on time. I am paying $120 bucks a month for this crappy service. BELIEVE me once I use what I paid for this month this piece of crap service is one I will NEVER use again or recommend anyone to use. Don't waste your time or your hard earned money. This company does nothing to deserve it!!!! read more

How about being told that our second bill would consist of a 150.00 credit so we figured ok no bill well wrong they never were told by the salesman and we ended up being behind and now cant get the credit because bill wasnt paid. Cant believe I left fios for this garbage! I knew i was making a mistake but was suckered into this bull$#!*. Buyer beware of door2door!!!!! read more

The worst customer service ever. They double billed me for internet service and the local office told me they could not issue a credit directly. The rude lady referred me to another office, who claimed the walk in office COULD issue a credit. They seem to be fighting internally over who issues credits, and I believe they deliberately refused to issue the credits just to be rude and overcharge me. They have just over billed me again while NOT issuing the credit they promised me. Unbelievably poor customer service. I left a message with local office manager Jocelyne Ringo with hope she can resolve the issue. read more

I was lied to by a representative and extra 10$ is being tacked on my bill. When I called the company, I was on the phone for an hour explaining my situation to three different people. They can only take off that fee once so I'll be overcharged for the rest of the year. I suggest never using this provider. I am currently looking for a new provider that will not tack on hiden fees. read more

Why, why, why, do I loathe Comcast!!!!! I got rid of sucky cable and got stuck with internet only because I signed up for their ridiculous home security. Majority of the time I have a "network lost connection" message, really???? On a home security system. JUNK! read more

New customer (going to cut off my service tomorrow, though.) Quick rundown of the past couple months: Got our address wrong twice. Didn't know what service we had (second guy had it right). Almost didn't install our service because they had the wrong address. Don't provide battery for cable modem. (Also give out sheet saying it's dangerous not to have one, but they don't provide it, so you should buy one off them.) Called and asked for my SSN (instead of asking me to call a number I know to provide it). Cut off service due to not providing SSN card (even after providing it directly to an employee at a service center). Don't respect customers (some do, but some don't, and the company definitely doesn't.) I wouldn't recommend Comcast to anyone. read more

Our complaint is with the billing department, the sales people, and the call center. The people in the Iron Bridge office were polite but looked at us as if we were crazy to bring a copy of our contract in to them, as we had been advised to do by their call center. Going in was a complete waste of time and gas. Our contract says we get 12 months at the introductory rate, but six months into our contract they notified us that the "6-month promo" had ended. There's no such thing on our contract. The sales rep who signed us up promised to leave his business card in our mailbox the following day because he'd "just given his last one away." He told us we could call anytime we had a problem and he'd take care of it. The Iron Bridge office wouldn't give us his contact info but said they'd send him an email message to contact us. This was in February, just as our March bill was arriving with the new rate on it. When the sales rep called us back, he assured us that we weren't affected by any six-month promo. He told us to pay the rate he gave us on the phone and write "according to our contract" on the payment stub. He also assured us that he'd take care of everything with the billing department. When our next bill came, it called the unpaid portion "balance due," and was still charging us the increased rate of $70/month MORE than our contract stipulates for our first year. Each time we called, we were promised that the problem would be fixed, and each billing shows that it hasn't. Finally, my husband finally threatened to go for professional help and the person on the line said he'd give us a credit. However, when this last bill came, they had only deleted a portion of all the amounts they''ve been overcharging us since March, plus they've started charging us the second year's rate -- but our first year isn't up until September. We're sorry we switched and can't wait for our contract to be up. In the meantime -- we're telling everyone we know to have as little to do with Comcast as possible. Our experience with Verizon was superior in every way!! read more

I am completely disgusted with comcast. I have been a Comcast cablevision customer for over 6 years. Until recently have I had such a bad experience. I move from the New York area with the Cablevision version of comcast to Atlanta and now to Richmond. I have been treated like a step child when it comes to dealing with comcast. They scheduled my service transfer and didnt tell me a deposit was required the technician that came in was not pleasent and refused to remove his shoes in my home. The Richmond customer support department is like not helpful they change everything to be the customers fault. I have never been disconnected from comcast however they treat you like they are doing you a favor to offer the service. Well guess what comcast Verizion will be offering what you offer in one month and I will leave since its a burden to get good customer service. read more

They charge everyone a different price. Still paying 154 per month since february. I went online and thought i switched to 79.99 service. An email went into my span folder that says you have to confirm. What a crock of crap! I submitted the service change request but of course Comcast makees it an act of congress to get this changed. A few more months at 154.00 per month. I have emailed Verizon hoping they will come into my area. I hate satellite but considering it to get rid of these sheisters. Everyone in my neighborhood has a diffrent deal for the same products. Whats up with that? My internet is very slow...it goes out constantly. Just really sucks for 154.99 per month. I will spread the word in my neighborhood. read more

Don't use them. They are the worst at customer care. They seriously all give different information and they bash each other. I spoke with 10 different ppl in a span of 15 days and not ONE person gave me accurate information let alone helped me with my situation. I never write complaints but you all should be ashamed of yourselves for the lack of knowledge and run around you give your customers. I will not stop here at letting others know. You all are the worst Internet providers and I wouldn't being doing my do diligence if I sat quite. How do you feel comfortable sleeping at night knowing you're charging people for a month of service they haven't used yet and when they do get around to that month there are more than one issue stopping them from actually enjoying it. From ashley, timothy, roxanne, joy, jeanita, charles, and a host of other employees they are by far the most inconsistent group of ppl. You should take the time to ensure your staff has the adequate amount of knowledge to actually serve your customers. Whoever the CEO OR CFO is, you should be in such an uproar that you shut down for about a month to retrain your staff on proper phone etiquette and knowledge. The way you treat ppl will far outlast the terrible service you provide. I will be waiting for your response. The only thing I can say thank you for is Thank you for two of the most frustrating years ever. As for that star rating it's only bc I couldn't post with out rating your pathetic company. read more

This is a completely corrupt business. They claimed I received equipment that I didn't even order or receive then told me I would have to take it up with UPS. Continued to charge me for equipment I didn't order or receive. Also, they would cut off service a week or two after making a payment. But they would turn it off on a Saturday. So the only option you have is to make a payment over the phone since the local office are closed. I made payment of over $300 and then turned it off after less than 2weeks. Then told me I owed $900 before they would turn it back on. Straight up crooks. read more

Service is horrible. they sware they're going to take of your issues but never do. next thing you know you're getting billed for something out of the blue. their techs are slow (mentally and physically) and it seems like they do not care about their job or what they are doing. terrible customer service. comcast overall is a horrible provider, this isn't just coming from me but from my girlfriend in california. i had service on the east coast, so apparantly they're horrible across the USA. avoid them at all costs unless they are the only one around that provides service even then i would never use them again because its a nightmare when you want to end the service. read more

I figured out how to like Comcast!!! After all our hassles with their boxes, we got two TiVo boxes. TiVo is fantastic and the interface is SO much nicer then the X1 system. TiVo must be set up as described in the directions exactly- or you may have issues. It is very much a "this must be connected first, second...etc thing). But the boxes work beautifully and don't have the issues that Comcast boxes have. Just need to pay for the TiVo "service" with TiVo which is cheaper than the Comcast box rental and by law the first "outlet/cable card" is no charge. Long story short, between this update and my initial review, we've had Comcast until 2014- switched back to DTV and bundled with their At&t (AT&T is merging with DTV). HORRIBLE MISTAKE. Dtv's genie is second rate to tivo's Romio (apples to apples). Tivo's regular boxes (wired) are better too. Anyway, if you go with Comcast and purchase the tivo's, they will pay for themselves in well under a year. Buy your own Netgear modem/router and it will also pay for itself quickly- then after that it's all money you save. DTV/At&t bundle cost us over $230/mo. Now, we pay $100/mo. To Comcast, $12 to TiVo for the Romio monthly service fee. If you add on "mini's" (setting up the TiVo as a "mocha" system- which Comcast will do for you if you purchase the equipment at time of install),you have to pay $6/per mini /month. Nonetheless you will pay less. Buy your equipment thru best buy and get the warranty on the main box, and use "price match" (find best deal on intto get the price down- will pay for the warranty! read more

First do not let comcast salespeople in your house. They lie, they sell you a deal that isn't even real. First they didn't show up to install on the day that was on my contract. When I called they blamed salesperson. I was in the middle of moving so my mother sat at my house all day. I have a contract that is in black and white signed by salesperson and myself. I had price guarantee for one year. My bill went up before first month was over. I was supposed to get a $ 300 refund that almost a year later I haven't seen. My bill is $ 80 more than my contract says it would be. When I called they passed the buck , said they had no such bundle and trashed the salesperson. They know we as consumers can never afford attorneys like they have to fight this. Now I'm in a two year contract that if I don't pay will ruin my credit and make my life hell with the calls and threats. I made sure when I signed up for this that the salesperson understood that I live on a fixed income and could not afford more than what I signed up for. Line by line every single thing went up $ 5 when the first bill came. When I called I was on phone for hours and passed to 6 different people. I finally got my house phone to work 6 months later. It kept cutting off apparently contractor hooked it up wrong from the start . I called about that and was told it was my brand new phones. So I got more new phones and still cut off after about 15 mins of talking. When a tech finally came out he said it was not plugged in right and that an update wasn't done. I HAVE A CONTRACT. Apparently Comcast doesn't have to live up to their end of contract but we do. read more

I just bought a condo in a building with 90+ units. Comcast is the only service availalble. I spent three hours trying to order Comcast internet and digital TV services through the comcast.com website. Horrible!! And that's generous. You'd think that an internet service provider would be able to work out the details of potential customers ordering services and setting up delivery of said services via the Web, but you'd be wrong. Chat agents were rude and would not provide access to a supervisor even three hours into the process. And the only reason I stayed with it that long was to determine if I could in fact break my keyboard by typing with my fists. Now I have a headache and will have to go through the process again with another TV and internet service provider. Please give me FiOS in northern Virginia! I should have known better when my tenants opted to go with DirecTV instead of Comcast in their new home. read more

Horrible customer service with the call center, appt not kept twice and no credit given.

The customer service is beyond terrible. Have not had Internet in the middle of DC for over a week - amazing! I am new to Richmond, VA and called COMCAST to discuss having it installed. I changed my mind, and order VERIZON. I did this after I called the Comcast customer service 1-800 number and was hung up on, couldn't hear the customer service rep over the very loud back ground noise in their office, and had trouble understanding the customer service rep's thick accent. I gave up with COMCAST because the customer service rep. could not answer very simple questions about the services COMCAST offered and the monthly pricing. Come on? They wanted me to allow them to let them log onto my computer to have me enroll without answering any of my questions. I have VERIZON now and love the service; no problems with the bundle. I am currently an O1 second lieutenant serving in the United States Marine Corps on Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina. On four (4) separate occasions, I have attempted to cancel my Comcast service, which existed from my time training in Quantico, Virginia. I have been trying to get the connectivity issue resolved since October 28,2015, last call yesterday (November 16, 2015) Technical Support supervisor, Marge, she basically told me that I have my options open. I have had 3 technicians come out and they have acknowledged that is a maintenance issue. I am getting a speed of 6 mbps to 50- 60 mbps, while I am paying for 150 mbps! I have spent a total of 7 hours with Comcast customer support in past 20 days. My issue is still unresolved and the technical support wants to send out another technician out for the 4th time to tell me the same thing that it is a maintenance issue. My daughter had Comcast and there never seemed any problem with the internet so when she moved and I decided to look at having internet in my name, I looked online to see the service providers near Henrico, Richmond. After reading the bad reviews here I was tempted not to go with Comcast but I called them up and chatted to a lovely lady. She explain what I would need to do so clearly, and the price structure, including the $10 a month for the modem rental or buying my own; so I signed up over the phone. I went down to Staples Mill Rd service centre to return my daughter's modem and collect my new one and it is a very nice friendly place, as soon as you go in they take your name so there is no waiting in a line, which as a senior I appreciated. It is a very pleasant waiting area and although they seemed fairly busy I was called in about 5 mins, the gentleman swopped the modems and answered my questions. I went home plugged it in and although it did take about an hour for me to get the internet back, overall I felt that the whole switchover was done smoothly. I think probably people post comments when they are upset with a company but aren't as likely to post when a company does things smoothly so I felt I needed to post my experience. read more

DO NOT... DO NOT... DO NOT... even THINK about ordering Comcast Cable. Hands down, the WORST customer experience I've ever had with any company... EVER. The cable service is horrible, and has been since day 1. It took me 2 months to get hooked up, they just wouldn't come out. Then they tried to charge me for the period of time that I had no service. Since then, it's been a tragedy of horrors. Picture quality is horrible, they've never been able to fix it, though they claim they can. Each person blames it on something else and you need 2 or 3 different technicians for each problem. The cable boxes are these giant, heavy, loud, hot boxes that haven't changed since the 90's. The menus are antiquated, look like something spun up from a 286 computer. Everything is slow... takes about 15 minutes for the box to "boot up" if you turn off the power. If you love sports, forget it... you get so much pixillation, you can't see what's going on. Go DirecTV, FIOS, anything... a TV antenna if you have it. read more

I was a student at TBS and the only cable company we had available to us was Comcast. They forced many of my fellow Marines to purchase a package we didn't want or need, they said it was the only package they offered. Basically take it or leave it! I found out later that if you went to the store you could purchase a package that was just internet for $25 a month so I went from paying $89 to $25 its a big difference. The best part is yet to come. After switching my service package they sent me to collections for $193 because I failed to pay for two months. I didn't move, I didn't even switch internet the internet box, I simply returned the cable box. They sent the new statement for $28 the following month but I never once saw a bill on my online statement or an email about a delinquent account. Is there an option for zero stars? Too bad. the fact that Comcast makes billions of dollars every year screwing people over the way they do is sad and quite baffling actually. The only way they could possibly make business is being the only option in many complexes. No one in their right mind would choose this shady company to do business with. Where to begin with my experience? What a joyful ride it has been seeing my monthly bills rise from 90$ to 118$ with absolutely no explanation of the charges except "equipment fees." I would also like to thank them for sending a technician out three different times (three different guys) to flip a switch that was buried deep in some god forsaken closet in the hallway of my complex. Streaming videos and even music for that matter is an absolute joke. Opt for the record player instead for clearer, uninterrupted sound quality. The cable is crap and works around 50% of the time with absolutely no options except the basic package (still without anything useful) or the max package which adds HBO. Excited yet? I would be too. ironically, this post crashed right before it was finished which made me even more excited to put it up. I hope they tapped my line and tried to block me from posting this because then maybe they would have gotten something productive done which is something I have never seen from this company. Comcast couldn't run a sewer company because everyone's toilets would literally be overflowing with shit because they are so piss poor. For right now, thankfully all i have to worry about is shit coming out of my TV. Thanks comcast! read more
