Xfinity has far too many outages to be a reliable cable and Internet company. I live in the Ashland area and we are down again today this time for 3 1/2 to 4 hours. We were already down this morning and these are only two instances where Xfinity has been out. There are still a lot of people working from home. read more

It has been since November 10th over 30 days and ticket number ECM0017694048 is not complete. I have exposed wires from the box that is attached to the outside of my house. This is a fire hazard. I have called every week over 10 times and get scripted information from the customer service representatives with no results. After the last call I was credited 1penny, yes 1 cent, .1 to my account. For what? I even went to the physical store and was told we only do sales, we can't help. Now when I check the ticket number on their website it states not available. When you need repair from Xfinity, they are the worse and just leave the customer hanging. read more

Typical Xfinity: fix takes several days, broken the very next day. But do keep paying your bills or they will shut the poor service.

Worst automated phone bots ever!! So frustrating by the time I reached an India based person I was ready to blow!! My cable has been out and I called for a credit, which the technical department cannot issue, only the billing department, which mean two terrible experiences. Even though my cable had been out for 24-hours before I called, which you know they can see on their system if they look, they would only credit from time I called. Not a huge difference in money, about $10, but I believe "adding insult to injury" is perfectly applicable to this situation and experience! I am now fully motivated to cut my cable!! Terrible way to begin my weekend! Comcast Sucks!! read more

This company does not compare to Verizon or Cox. Horrible customer service, outrageous prices!

A Comcast repairman come out to service my neighbor, instead of using their driveway (like he did to get to their house) he decided to drive through our yard and got stuck. He had to have a tow company pull him out of our yard..... I have everything on video and have filed a police report. I have tried multiple times to speak to a manager and keep getting the runaround. This is not acceptable... you should not have an employee who represents your company destroy someones property. read more

After a xfinity contractor came to visit us n Chester we wound up with some flex plan that cost us $350 month. Tried to fight from beginning, but comcast(xfinity) never listened until bill was $1400. once I finally got on the phone we had a good laugh until all our servjces were shut off. Offered to make some plan to at least get wifi bak, but was turned down. Bundled all their shit, n dragged it n da store, cancelling (officially) all services. I had Verizon internet and switched to Xfinity on 5/16/22. The guy who came to do the installation (I paid $50). I didn't check to make sure he left all my Verizon equipment. The next day I took everything back to Verizon, they said the box for the internet wasn't there. I called Xfinity and reported it missing. They checked and said they didn't have it. The box is nowhere in my house. I how must pay Verizon nearly $400.00 because the box went missing when Xfinity did the installation. read more

It is a shame there is not a "Zero" star rating for Comcast Business. They were impossible to get a hold of to cancel my service after I discovered that Verizon was half the cost. Today I tried to upgrade my mother's Xfinity iPhone. At 85 and disabled, she's unable to go to the Xfinity store, so I drove 3hrs from my home to help. Xfinity HAS MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH ITS CORPORATE POLICIES. The store manager, Brian, for the store in Henrico, Va told me they cannot sell her the phone unless she's physically present. Did I say she's disabled? They can send her a phone, but she's not sure how to set it up. She also needs the apps transferred to the new phone. No help there either. They said they don't do that. In fact, the account is still in the name of my 10yrs deceased father's name because, even though she showed them the death certificate 10yrs ago, because my dad didn't put her on the account while living, they couldn't add or change the account after he died!! Corporate Xfinity/ Comcast needs to WAKE UP and stop discriminating against SENIORS and the DISABLED who are unable to comply within their policies. Nice way to run a business! read more

What a nightmare trying to get cable....if the person at their Center is not a robot then I would have to ask...Did it have a heart or brain. After four tries my order was still wrong. I even asked are u sure u aren't a computer or robot because they kept asking questions....how can I help you but I had asked a question with no response. At the end I sent a note saying please verify my order....nothing. Its a nightmare, but on the other hand when a real person came yo my house.....HE WAS EXCELLENT and was patient enough to straightenvout the mess. I don't know if it's possible to find a poorer cable provider than Comcast. First, the internet option is clearly the worst available with spotty coverage, weak signal etc, second you are restricted from even being offered things like Disney plus which is offered on pretty much every other format and the on demand feature purely sucks. Just think, you have 6000 movies available in section, but no way to even do a word search. Pathetic and amateurish. Just pitiful.. read more

I am an instructor for an online class. Do you know what is high on my list of essentials? Reliable internet service. Do you know what I get from Comcast? THE VERY ANTITHESIS. (Yes I am using all caps because I am LIVID). I can write a long diatribe on how spectacularly horrific the service is but I'll restrict myself to the high...ahem...low points. speed- PATHETIC! cost - EXORBITANT! Shame on you telephone customer service rep who made me think I was getting a deal when your AWFUL service costs almost as much as another much more reliable one! SKULDUGGERY! (Ah screw it- this review is going to be long after all! ) The most galling thing is that I have intermittent service...works slowly for 10 minutes...doesn't work for 3 (just as I am in the middle of something important)... works at turtle speed for 5 minutes....doesn't work for 2 minutes (JUST AS I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING IMPORTANT FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!! ) And while I'm at it- what is the deal with having only 2 customer service reps at the Broad location? The reps are actually nice and want to chat and be personable. Unfortunately after standing in line for an hour just to PICK UP the equipment, I was SO MAD that I could barely grind out a polite 'hello'. Takeaway: If you ignore all the warnings and sign up with them thinking that all these reviewers are bitter (Yes we are! Justifiably so!) you'll get service alright- BAD SERVICE. read more

I never thought I could despise a company this much. I always thought everyone was just being dramatic when they talked about how terribly awful Comcast was, that they were upset and just whining about a petty problem of theirs. Well, I've come to realize tonight that Comcast is probably the single worst company on the entire planet. If I had an option I would pay ten times more for Internet than I do (did, they disconnected my service for no reason and couldn't figure out how to restore it after four hours of waiting on the phone, disconnecting my calls, and transferring me, until their solutions department was closed) with Comcast. It is a despicable company and I will do whatever I can to prevent anyone else from ever using their services. read more

We pay around $180/month for Internet and TV from Comcast. For internet, we're getting the "Blast!" package, which is meant to deliver speeds of up to 50mbps download and 10mbps upload. The speeds our internet reaches are *not even close.* My speed test (from speedtest.comcast.com) is telling me I'm getting .28mbps download and 7mbps upload on average. Seriously!? $180/month for such terrible service is robbery. SO SLOW. Do not recommend. I hope the FCC slaps Comcast silly ASAP. read more

Service breaks up constantly, internet stalls often, the box itself has to reboot more often than not. The remotes rarely work and when they do you often have to push buttons more than a few times each. If you have an HD t.v. the box will automatically redirect you to those channels whether or not you want to. Ugh service is ok, They first quoted us a price then upon calling to set up a time and date for set up, retracted the original amount and hiked it up another 20 bucks a month. Once I'd mentioned that and we (my husband & I) had a go about for an hour over the phone and got ahold of managers and sales people etc. Etc. We ended up in retention the first call around so they offered us better pricing then tried to take it back later. After fighting for our original cost back, we did receive it. It took a long while and a lot of run around. read more

Xfinity is not able to keep up the demands of its customers. They promise us up to 600 Mbps for internet but is not able to surpass 75 Mbps on its best day. The average is 60. When I talked to them the first time I mentioned this and they said the pandemic is causing more usage lower speeds but should get better. Now, never did. Fios never did go against their promises. They were very good. I only switched because of a better deal, and now I'm stuck with contract. I should have stuck with what I knew from long time ago when Xfinity first started, comcast had horrible customer service, and service, so does Xfinity. Oh yeah, I forgot they're 1 and the same. Forced to get Comcast. The companies out here are able to control what internet and television possibilities we all have. They restrict the bandwidth to save themselves money. We are PAYING for 105 MBPS. No one at that company told us it "ranged" from 50-105. (What a joke). This morning, we tested it and it read 25 MBPS. This company is rip off and honestly it is fraud to sell someone a product and actually be selling them something different than what is said. I hate these large companies that control everything. It is a ripoff and extremely unfair. I am tired of this. read more

I have regular problems with the service... but read on, it gets worse! So, I called Comcast yesterday evening because my "BLAST" internet (which advertises around 25 megabits) was running at .4 megabits. Like back in the day when you'd look up a photo with AOL on your 2400 baud modem, and wait for about 30 seconds to get a glimpse of nipple... you guys know what I'm saying. I've evolved, I'm not constantly surfing porn. I'm not a teenager anymore! But I've evolved. I use the internet for my business, and much more disheartening than losing my boner while waiting for a dirty photo to download is watching my business lose money because I'm wasting my time trying to connect to a service that should be providing me a reliable internet connection. I can quickly re-ignite the lust... despite the allegations of ex-girlfriends. I can't make up for the lost opportunity resulting from my business being offline. Sorry, got off track. I call Comcast tech support... after them telling me about how I paid my bill and my payment was received (whoa, big fucking surprise here guys!) I navigated the menu to arrive at a girl named "Anna". Nobody in India is named Anna, but I beat the odds here. Beware, these service reps are really honed at answering the phone and sounding like they speak english. But when you start digging in, it's clear that they do not. I hate trying to suss out tech problems with someone who doesn't speak my language. Sorry, maybe that's just me. I'm not racist, I'm just looking for solutions. "Anna" didn't solve my problem. She sent a couple of refresh signals, and half-an-hour later (that's $20 in my book, based on what I should be making for my time) she is telling me to wait another half hour after I hang up and things will get better. Then it gets rich. She offers me a "consolation for my time and the inconvenience of not having adequate internet service". Comcast is so magnanimous as to offer me cable phone service at the discounted rate of $7 more per month because they wasted my time by not providing the internet service they promised when I signed up. Now, these fuckers are trying to upsell me! I use a cell phone for all of my calls. I don't even have phone lines in my house. Why the hell would I want cable phone service? If I wanted it, I'd have bought it. Waste more of my time. Not to mention, you guys can't even get the internet service to function properly... so you've got me in bed and you've disappointed me with your foreplay. Time to try to stick me with the high hard one? Not so much. And I called for tech support. Nothing like taking the customer engagement and failing, only to try to squeeze more dollars out of that engagement. If that's how you run a successful business, I've got a thing or two to learn. That said, I run a successful business (despite Comcast screwing the pooch monthly) and if we decided to operate this way, we'd sink faster than the Titanic. Fast forward to today... and read on! I install a modem I purchased at the local office supply store, cause I suspect the modem is the problem. I thought I installed it, but the instructions tell me to get in touch with my internet service provider to finish the install. Fuck me, I've gotta call India to make this happen. Navigate the menu, end up with nameless CSR who keeps me on the phone for 45 minutes while she asks her associates how to set up the new modem. Only to arrive at the point that she can't set it up and wants me to call back to set up a service call (the kind where you're a prisoner in your home for about 8 hours waiting for your jailer to show up and fix your garbage service). I'm calculating the income loss as we speak. $30 more for the time I spent on the phone while this girl learned her job, and still failed. Now, by my math, that's $50 so far, not counting waiting for days for my email to download and the 2 hours I've spent trying to troubleshoot the problem on my end before picking up the phone to call this crew of fucktards. I call back an hour later and get "Anthony". His intro is solid, and has me thinking "I've got someone from the USA on the line for a change!" Wrong again... To Anthony's credit, he got me online, by asking for a couple of key items that the last girl didn't think to find out... modem ID and the like. Good on ya, bro. You're a giant in a world of dwarfs. It took another 1/2 hour. $20. Comcast owes me $70, and I'm being diplomatic. It seems like Comcast has built a hotel on Boardwalk and I'm one point shy on the dice. It's not the first time, and it won't be the last... fuck this company. Unacceptable, but I have no other option where I live. read more

As bad as it gets, and they are more expensive than everyone else -- even providers in New York City! Imagine that! Seriously, I have had Cox, Comcast, RCN, Time Warner, and Verizon FiOS. I would take anyone but Comcast. If you have them, be sure to watch your cable bill. You may find it creep into the $200-$220 / month range. The on-demand will not work, and you will have to deal with rude customer service. And now they love playing commercials about how long it takes to install Verizon FiOS, and how it is better to stay with cable. Yeah it takes the good part of a day, but when your monthly bill is half of what it was, I think you will get over it. Not to mention the wildly different download speeds. Avoid this company if you can! read more

Update: Verizon FIOS is now available in the area. Switched to them the day they were available, and have never looked back. Couldn't be happier to get away from Comcast's abysmal service. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, I realize this is an utter waste of time. Comcast couldn't give a flying flip about what its customers think about it, it's made that exceedingly clear. When we moved in, we got the standard run-around trying to get our internet installed. I took off of work on 3 separate occasions because they *insisted* that they had to come into the house to do the connect. They no-showed for all three, in spite of numerous calls throughout the day. Their *posted* policy is if they're late for an appointment, you get a $60 credit. So the next day they swore that the previous appointments were never set up, there were no phone calls, nothing. No $60 credit for a full day's work lost. Three times they did this... Not like a one-time mistake. It's apparently POLICY to call their customers a liar when they blow an appointment off. When they finally did show up to do the connect (three weeks after the first "appointment"), they ran a bright orange cable from our house to the neighbor's house. That stayed laying across our lawn for three MONTHS before they finally came to bury it. (Yes, many phone calls to get that to happen too.) And lo' and behold, they never stepped foot in the house, or even had us sign anything. There was absolutely zero reason for me to take time off of work for the appointments they didn't show up to. When the internet goes out (note that my fiance works from home and needs the internet to do her job) they shrug and tell us to wait until it comes back. Basically, they don't care. No refunds for the down time, not so much as an apology. You won't see a response from them here because they don't have to respond. They have a monopoly on broadband and they are well aware of it so they overcharge and abuse their customers at a whim. The only reason I'm even bothering with a review is just to blow off some steam at the abysmal company that they are since I know they simply... don't... care if their customers are unhappy. We've been praying for Verizon to bring FIOS in to give them the necessary competition to clean up their act, but Verizon doesn't seem interested in spite of the fact that EVERY SINGLE Comcast victim in the area is begging them to. I hope the Comcast CEO steps on a lego. read more

I explained my earlier conversation, she told me to call the 800 number when I arrived home. My repair time slot was from 11-2. I arrived home at 12:30, called the 800 # and after ALL the automated BS was told my work order was closed out. So basically no one was coming. I now have ANOTHER appointment next week. I have been a customer of Comcast for over 10 years. Customer service is awesome if you are signing up, otherwise, take a number. They have a monopoly in many areas due to their strong lobbying in Virginia. Expect to pay high prices, rate increases every 12 months and mediocre or poor customer service. I canceled today because after 10 years of paying on time or early, rate increases every 12 months months and 0 in the customer loyalty department, I am done. The customer loyalty female that I spoke to today was very upset that I wanted to lower my bill and offered to remove the DVR and lower my bill a couple dollars. Just thought I'd share a small bit of my 2-hour service interaction with Comcast today ... and not even the worst part. Enjoy!

I have had Comcast for around 10 years. I was on an important call today and suddenly phone goes dead, cable goes out and internet goes down. I walk downstairs and there is a techician in our box he just went in and unhooked my line to hook up a neighbors. I ask him to hook it back up he says he will and kind of acts rude. I said I need you to hook it back up now. He says he will hook it up. I hear him come back upstairs and go into neighbors apartment and look at my phone and he has left it disconnected. At this point I call comcast I talk to someone when they finally answer the phone after 10mins and explain to them what happened I am really frusterated because now my cable has been out for almost 15mins. She asks me to hold a second then cold transfers me to someone else and i have to start over again. So now I am going to contact Verzion and will never use Comcast again. I wouldnt recommend them to someone I hated at this point. I have had other issues in the past but they were always minor. This is serious since your messing with someone's phone when they are on it. read more

Quite possibly the worst company on the planet. How many times can you CANCEL a service only to be charged for it again the following month?
