Weird, sad vibe in this service center. It's right on AA Boulevard with street parking. A security officer opens and closes the door. When I walked in, there were about five folks ahead of me, but the line didn't take terribly long. I was just going in to turn off my Internet service and return my rented router. I received a receipt for returning the router and was told to call Comcast billing for any potential refunds for paying through February. I haven't gotten that far yet. I always thought refunds were processed at service centers, but maybe I'm recalling wrong. All in all, not a poor experience, just a little odd. A renovation would do this place wonders. read more

Without a doubt this is the WORST internet service I have ever encountered in my LIFE. There is NO Customer Service at all. Now you CAN NEVER TALK TO AN ANGENT. Some idiotic teleprompter comes on and tries to send you to a link to auto chat with some bot. It is incredibly bad, and the service is horrendous. I hate them and there has to be a better way than this. I wish I could give them -10 Stars if it were possible. They absolutely are a bankrupt business that cares nothing for their customers. How do I hate thee? Let me count the ways. I hate Comcast. I really do. They have the worst customer service in the world. For months I have been trying to get my billing straight. They have my account mixed up with my neighbors. THEY call me by the neighbor's name, then act like there is no cross over. When I put my account in to pay online, it says "Do you want us to send the receipt to neighbor's email address?" Then they tell me that the accounts are not combined. I am a new customer and have been treated very poorly by this company. I made an appointment 3 weeks for new service connection. I explained that I needed a technician to come and install my equipment because I am not tech savvy, I am over 60 and suffer with vertigo. The first available appointment they had was 7/8, not happy but okay. Today they cancelled my appointment and told me to go to their store,pick up the equipment and install it myself. I tried because the lady on the phone said it was simple. Well it didn't work. So I called and spent 6 hours on the phone only to end up with a very nasty manager. Who said she would send out a tech and not charge me the installation fee but not on Monday but on Tuesday. I'm so mad and disappointed. But learning that there aren't any companies out there anymore who gives a flying DAMN about providing good customer service. So my advice is stay away from Xfinity if at all possible. Cancelled service within 30 days and was told I owed nothing. Several months later I get a call from a collection agency and find out comcast sent my bill into collections even after I called when I received bill in mail and was told it was an error. Tried to call comcast and ended up speaking to someone in Phillipines who was difficult to understand because of accent and background noise. All he could tell me was that my account was "zeroed out". He could not give me any dates or other information. He was obviously speaking from a script. Xfinity Stinks!!! read more

About a month ago our remote control inexplicably stopped connecting with our box, so we took it to this location and got our box replaced. Upon coming home we noticed the cord to connect the box to the television was missing so we had to go all the way back on my next day off. The woman helping us was very pleasant and tried hard to be helpful but despite this Comcast makes even their best employees look bad. She went back to find us the corresponding cable and it turns out all the packed up boxes had incompatible cables with them, apparently a warehouse error. She eventually got us our cable and sent us on our way (I want to clarify again she was very very nice and really wanted and tried to help us better). Anyway, we get home and it's the wrong cable. So we call comcast and they set an appointment to come 2 days later. Our cable is fixed! For all of 6 hours....it ends up going out in the middle of a show I was watching(Both of our televisions went out). We call back again and they can't send anyone out for about 5 days, which Is today. As of now everything is working ok but the technician had to try numerous boxes and even leave to get a different one from the warehouse for it to work. We've been with out television for a month now so I'm hoping it works. I don't blame the representative we spoke to at the service center nor the technician who tried to help us because they were both as helpful as they could possibly be (which is why I'm not leaving only one star) . While I have not been the biggest fan of Comcast internet service during the time I have had it, I really do appreciate the great customer service they provide. I had called the previous week regarding my internet connection in my home. I am in a very large two bedroom where some parts of my home, i barely get a signal for my service. Since I work at home, it is always important to have a strong connection to ensure I can do all things i need from early morning to my late night Netflix show-watching. So, when I called to complain, they suggested I switch out my current box (meant for a smaller one bedroom) to boost my signal. I was up for anything at this point. Walking into the Customer Service center, the staff have a friendly face and greet you to immediately help you with your needs. Do you need to pay your bill but don't want to spend money on the extra stamp? They have a kiosk there for payments. I do warn that some people that come here are already unhappy (and I experienced on my trip), so they will cut you off, run in the door and yell about being next in line. Do not let this unhappy individual impact the review you have on Comcast- as the staff are always willing to help in anyway they can. I was lucky enough to only have 14 people in front of me that day (others have stated they come and have to wait longer- but I find it all depends on the time of day you come: lunch time, afternoon and right before close are not the best times to show up from what staff told me). If you find yourself coming at the tail end of the day (like myself), just make sure you are in the door by 6 PM, as they will lock the doors. I came up to window 9 and Mark was kind enough to work with me. I explained my issue, he swapped out my old router for a new (and much larger/powerful one), explained the process of re-connection and re-establishing my network at home, and within 10 minutes, I was out the door, happy and thankful it was pretty painless experience. **Note: if you do have to take your modem/route box home, do the online setup if possible. It does take longer than the 15 minutes quoted time for the box to be setup. However, once the box is powered down and back up, you should have no issues. Comparative to Verizon FIOS, which I have had in the past (way too pricey for the bundling services I don't need), Comcast is really winning. Between the better price rates and the outstanding customer service, I am quite happy with the service I have. And, the new modem/route box is stronger and works a lot better than the one I had previously! Bonus! read more

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. I have had to call roughly 15 times to get a problem resolved on my bill and get different information from every single employee. About 3/4 of those employees have gotten an attitude with me regardless of how politely I've asked for clarification of my bill. They still have not helped me resolve this problem and because they insist on charging me the extra month that I refuse to pay, they cut off my service. Will never even begin to be half as good as time warner. One week into service and technicians have added multiple splitters to our outside box that original ruined our signal, eventually screwing it up until we have no internet. Then, the virtual assistance was worthless telling me that it wasn't their fault and it must be an issue we will have to pay for. They have no clue of what their worthless technicians are doing, what condition their equipment is in, or what customer service actually means. I finally talked to a second live person after multiple attempts to navigate their worthless telephone system (designed to redirect you until you get so lost you have to hang up) and explained once again about the multiple splitters and wires hanging outside our junction box. They understood that is an issue, yet was not able to add anything that could help resolve it. No offer to offset cost, only repeating that we will more than likely have to pay $40 for them to fix their issue. I have spent more effort speaking to Comcast Xfinity in the past week to deal with issues than I ever did with Time Warner in over 20 years with them; and still have not gotten anywhere. I wouldn't suggest Comcast to anyone, nor if I had a choice in this area have it myself. read more

Comcast is a disreputable, shady, sketchy company. I left them 4 years ago after they kept raising my rates, even though I kept getting agreements from them on a lower rate. I got tired of calling them every month when my rate was higher than they had quoted me. So I left and went to FIOS. I came back to Comcast last summer. Why??? Because I'm an idiot. I went to an Xfinity store and worked with an agent to get the programming I wanted at the price I wanted. On a 2 year contract. Now, Comcast has broken their word and raised my rates again. When I called to complain about it they lied and said their fees went up. So once again they didn't honor their word. I am one of the busiest ride share drivers in the Richmond area. Over 8,000 rides given in 2 1/2 years. I have every intention of letting every ride I can know that Comcast is a dishonest, unethical company that will lie about their rates and will not keep their word. Worst cable or internet provider. I had signed up for a deal, I just needed internet but somehow couldn't get internet with speed over 10mbps unless I got a bundle deal. I got a plan with 13 channels. 13....Plus a decent speed of internet. Blah blah pay shipping or can pick up at this location for free and get started now. Get to the office, told I have to pay a deposit of $150. Funny, I asked over the phone if I was required a deposit or any up front costs. Was assured that no, I am good to go. Just get equipment and that's that. Argue with a lady for 15 minutes. Even call customer care back. She proceeded to pass me on to her coworker to "get my sh!t" after customer care confirmed I didn't have to pay anything. Off to a bumpy start. Get home get it all hooked up and no signal. Wrong equipment. Prehistoric box and first gen router. By this time the place is closed. Go figure. Eventually get everything right the next day. First bill comes 2 weeks later..... 3x higher than my plan.. they bill and prebill for next months service. Ok fine whatever. Comcast had and commercial on TV offering XL triple play for $89 for 2 years. Also they advertise a $250 rebate card. When I order cable for my 71 year old mom the wanted charge me 119 for the first year and 134 for the second. When I called back they said they would give me the 2 years for 89.00 but not the gift card for 250.00. They want people to come to them but they don't want to give you what they advertise. read more
