    Worst company ever. Go with Comcast Verizon is an awful company and their local affiliates are just as bad if not worse

My sales associate told me "you can cancel at anytime", so I took that at face value. When I called to cancel, however, I was told that I "missed the 3 day cutoff by 4 hours and was no longer able to cancel until your equipment is paid off". This month marks one year that I've been a Vivint customer. Within this year, the equipment has failed, had a short, quit working, etc, etc and a tech has been to my house 6 times. Take note that all 6 of these visits have been free of charge. I returned yesterday from a month long military class out of state and discovered that my front door sensor was broken. I called today to schedule a technician to come fix it, only to be told that I had 2 options- I could either troubleshoot it and fix it myself, or pay $99 for a technician to come to my home. I am not an electrical engineer-and if the equipment messes up after I have "fixed" it, it will be my responsibility not the company's- nor do I get a paycheck from Vivint. Therefore, I will not do the job of a Vivint employee. That knocks option 1 out. As I stated above, all of the other tech visits that I've requested within this past year have been at no charge. Now all of a sudden, it costs $99 for someone to fix a piece of equipment that is literally broken and causes my sensor to no longer work (yet I'm still paying for). I understand that companies change their policies, but MOST OF THE TIME companies will alert their customers when that happens. Also, when I kept questioning the customer service representative that I spoke to how long Vivint has had this policy, her answer was "This has been the company's policy since I've been with them." I also asked how long she had been with the company and never got an answer. So therefore, my home is unsecured, yet I'm paying $2,500+ for equipment that does not work and the company will not score fix it if I don't pay an extra $99. If Vivint can tell me how this practice is good customer service, I'll gladly listen. But they haven't been able to, nor are they willing to. I cannot wait to pay off the balance on the equipment that does not work so that I can supposedly cancel my contract with them! I am actively researching other security companies and will gladly change my service when I'm able to.

They randomly charged me $294 for the equipment and overdrafted my account. Then they tried to charge me $919 a month later stating this was the buyout to cancel. I told them I couldn't afford that so reopen the account which they did and then they proceeded to debit my account $839.77 with absolutely no warning. So now I've paid them to cancel the account AND the account had been reopened and they expect me to pay $30 a month. This is the absolute worst company. You get 0 customer service just apologies even from managers. I wish there was an option for 0 stars

Never fully compensated for all that I experienced over 3 months. They replied to YELP and I asked I contact them. Not in the mood yet to deal with them. Now, for the past week including today, the panel date is stuck on 6:06 PM August 10, 2024. Today is August 17, 2024. The time is currently 12:10PM. I despise calling this company about anything related to the equipment and service. So here I go again. I have to be in a certain frame of mind to call them. It always put a damper on my day. And now is not the time. Especially after my last encounter with them. YELP should include ZEROs for ratings. So sick of this company and I'm stuck in a multi-year contract unless I'm able to afford to buy out of the contract at some point. I'm going to work on making that a priority. I can't go several more years of this incompetent service with malfunctioning and inadequate equipment. And as I posted previously, they lie. Again, I took pictures of the panel with the date and time it is stuck on. I don't know how to upload photos. Otherwise, I would attach them. Wish me luck with this rip off of a company. I feel the service is overpriced for the quality of service and equipment you get. I left them years ago, came back because I thought they would be better over time. NOT SO! I was visiting my mother in my home state, so we stopped by to transfer ownership of her account from me into her name. The rep was pleasant and took care of it right away, while also securing her a lower rate. Since I was there already, I asked if there were any discounts for my own account. Yes - he locked me into a lower rate as well. I was careful to say that I wanted to retain my existing services. Instead, he canceled my flex tv box and I didn't notice the line item difference as I wasn't necessarily looking for it given our conversation. I wasn't aware until I drove home to Virginia and couldn't connect to my TV. I contacted a chat agent first and got absolutely nowhere. I explained the whole situation and they replied by asking me to explain the situation. Oof. So I requested a call instead. The phone rep was lovely and spent 15 minutes working to restore my access. However, since the Jersey rep had turned off my flex box and it was an older model, she told me I'd need to visit a Comcast store to attain a newer box. That brought me to the Xfinity store in Short Pump last night. After a decent wait, the overworked, clearly exhausted rep helped me swap out my box. Just now, I tried to install it and guess what? Xfinity provided me with the dustiest, hairiest (yes, human hair) old Xumo box. That didn't include an HDMI cable as the box claimed it would. Sorry, but where's the quality control? Luckily I know someone who has an extra HDMI cable and can give it to me tomorrow, so Xfinity won't feel my immediate rage but seriously? So many screw ups, nothing easy for the customer. If I had to drive another 40 minutes (there and back) to get a freaking cable, I would've lost my mind. None of this should have happened. And their prices shouldn't be so dang high that we have to negotiate a lower rate every couple of years either. Not to mention, remember when companies would offer credits for issues like these? Ha. The good ole days. Of course I may need to get a new box regardless if they gave me a refurbished junker. If so, I'll be sure to update yall. TBD.

This is a fire hazard. I have called every week over 10 times and get scripted information from the customer service representatives with no results. After the last call I was credited 1penny, yes 1 cent, .1 to my account. For what? I even went to the physical store and was told we only do sales, we can't help. Now when I check the ticket number on their website it states not available. When you need repair from Xfinity, they are the worse and just leave the customer hanging.
