When we finally upgraded to 5G service we've had nothing but issues with internet connection dropping 3-5 times per day AND cable TV cutting out. Multiple calls to Comcast do not resolve the issue, they blame it on our equipment -- which is brand new! After explaining that we have to maintain Frontier Communications for telephone because our internet connection is so intermittent we can't transfer our phone line over to their crappy digital service and having to use our Verizon cell phone's hotspot to get internet access, they finally agree to send a technician out to check the connection to our house. This company has a monopoly and their service, which is in the toilet. I feel for the poor folks on their customer service line, they try their best but their technical service doesn't back their products. And you pay an exorbitent fee for a service that works when it feels like it. read more

I have been a customer of Comcast for almost 20 years at various locations around the country. Service was usually pretty good until I moved back to Connecticut. First I had an appointment to connect our service at our new place. Had to wait a week for the installer to ahiw ik and refuse . to connect because he said the power line was "to low". He left without doing anything. I called Eversource and had to wait 4 more days for them to come out and say there was nothing wrong. I immediately called Comcast to reschedule my install. This time had to wait 8 days (Thursday). The tech came out looked at the wire and said "no problem". He went and ran the new cable and left without connecting it. I called Comcast and they said he would be back Saturday between 12 - 5. At 1239 their dispatcher calls to say "We cant make it to day. How about next Tuesday" and laughed (I kid you not) I'm a pretty patient person but its been close to 3 weeks without internet I need for my work. Bottom line Comcast doesn't care about you no matter how long you have been a customer for. I finally gave io and went with another company. They at least showed up read more

We have two television boxes from xfinity. One works fine, the other hasn't worked since we got it. We've been on the phone with them constantly trying to fix it. My problem with this company is, every time we call them with the problem, they focus on trying to sell us additional services instead of fixing the problem. The overpriced services that I am paying for don't work...why would I want to buy more? The only reason why I gave them two stars is because the guy that they sent to the house was awesome really knew his stuff. read more

They are so terrible that I can only get there service in my apartment building and refuse to get there service again! They don't come within there window time as guaranteed, or they show up outside the building but don't call to let you know that they're there. So they just leave and blame you that you weren't there. I live in a building with practically no windows I cant see all the sides of building so how the hell am I supposed to know that they are there or not and they cant just walk into my apartment because they are locked out from the outside and cant even enter the building without a key. Then, they double billed my cable box!!!!!! They billed me for it in my name and my boyfriends name for the same box at the same location!!! They are just plain stupid!!!!! They have the worst customer service. They make all these promises saying that they will compensate you or give you a discount but they never do! They are liers! Thieves! and Crooks! Just as everyone says, the wait is very long and it is only pulled from sinking into the depths of absurdity by the ticket system, which saves you from actually standing in a line and by the friendly and competent service that awaits when you finally make it to the front. My husband and I have had comcast before, and just recently moved back to CT. We called to set up service again(had a Hawaii cable company the last 3yrs) but we were transferred to 3 different states by 3 different operators... Which is very frustrating to keep getting the run around. We were finally connected to a CT operator, and we continued setting up our instalation appointment, which was surprisingly the next day. Scheduled for 9-1pm.. The man showed up at 10:30am, never got out of his truck to walk in the apartment complex to knock on our door to let us know he was here.. Called our phone once, we called him right back. He then replied he waited 5 minutes, and now he is being redirected and can't install today. All this is being said while we are looking out our window at him sitting in his van. Dumbasses. So we called dish network, getting same day installation with an even better package for $60 cheaper for 3 months.. And then for the next year, it is STILL $30 cheaper a month! Literally the thing I dread most in the world is going to this Comcast center. Even during the middle of the day the line is ridiculous. Managers stand around smiling when people ask if additional windows will open -- for some reason only one or two windows out of four are open at a given time. For a company with so many customers (they have a monopoly in new haven for Internet service), you would think they could afford to hire at least one more person. How I wish Comcast had competition to motivate them even slightly to increase their level of service. read more

I am so tired of Comcast, their expensive bills and most recently their BS Customer Service Guarantee! I needed Comcast to come out to my house 2 times to fix my wireless so when I called to get the $20 "Customer Service Guarantee" bill credit, they told me to call back after the 2nd appointment. Well I got busy and I forgot to call so yesterday, when I got my mail and noticed that they are discontinuing channels (but not lowering my bill), I called about the $20 credit. I was told that since I waited more than 60 days, they were not honoring the credit. What kind of a Customer Service Guarantee is this?!?! I explained that I called once, then forgot because I was busy at the end of the summer, all the agent could do was quote policy. Then I got on the phone with a supervisor named John, who talked down to me and told me it was not his fault that I forgot because "jeez, you had 60 days to remember." As soon as I am able, I am switching to Direct TV. And I was on the phone for more than 30 minutes arguing with them as they continuously put me on hold to quote "policy". I'm perplexed at how a company can put a time limit on their Customer Service Guarantee. I wish there were more cable options in my area. read more

GRRRRRR... after a 50 minute call about how I'm having internet connection issues for OVER A MONTH, having several in home visits (from a very nice tech, btw) some 'customer service rep' -- hahaha who has me on hold FOREVER tells me he can't hear me... I switch handsets... the issue is prolly on his end because the other 2 people I was just talking to on the same call with you had no problem hearing me, but if it's not OUR PHONE SVC IS WITH YOU!! So he tells me he can't make outgoing calls & can't hear me so he can't help me & I end up throwing my phone across the room. (he heard me clear enough to tell me that No, He can't call me back from another line). We've had (nice) techs here about 5xs... problem still remains that we pay for 72mgs internet svc & are getting 12!! Oh, did I mention we're also a home based business & I don't have time to hold Comcast's hand.... I need them to fix the problem & be proactive in doing it! read more

If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would. I had Comcast in the past, not the best, but where we were living, our only choose. Fast forward 6 years and we have moved from Hawaii (had Comcast while living in PA) to CT. We get the date we wanted (day before the movers come), TRIPLE check that they were coming and on the time, as everything was precariously balanced for this whole move to work (install the Internet before the movers get there to find the best spot for our modem) as the movers come Friday and Directv on Monday. After waiting for over 2 hours ( AND past the time they were suppose to be there and after I had called customer service twice that day to make sure that he was on his way) they call us back 30 minutes after our appointment time (3:30, our appointment time was between 1-3) to let us know that they can't service our area!!!! They knew this beforehand, told us then that they had known since Sunday when we made the appointment, but thought they would try to keep it???!!! I called our Navy Housing office, who did confirm with is that yes Comcast is allowed to put internet in/at our house. When we called back to tell them this they stated that we would now have to pay a surcharge fee as we should have known to call housing before (for an Internet install???!!! I have never, in the 15 years being married to my husband, all of those years while he has been in the Navy, had to call housing to make sure. I thought that when the Internet companies that are listed on the housing website and who they suggest was enough!) of over $50 as we now missed our appointment???!!! Seriously??!! If you are moving to Groton, never EVER get Comcast. Our housing (Balfour) says they are one of the worst in the area. They told us to try Frontier, Thames or Dish. Since Frontier works with Directv, that's who we went with. The install can't happen until Monday, but they have told us many many times (& I checked with our housing manager) that yes they do work for us. He told me that (when I told him I had an old fat and that my landlord just redid the floors before came that booties they they wear are allowed) called himself UNCLE TOM as his employer name I was so shocked by that it took a moment to register his racism and when I did I asked for his employer number he said was 9841. I hung up on him called Comcast back and got a woman who at first sounded empathic but again started to question my validity in order to trace this racist piece of shatt. How dare u. I scheduled an appointment with Comcast over a month in advance to make sure that I reserved the specific time that I needed. I scheduled with "Krista" for an 8-9:00 AM time slot to have Comcast disconnect the cable wire to my house so that I could have a tree removed. I had also scheduled the Tree Company, CL&P, and AT&T to all come out within this one hour time slot. Comcast was the only one that scheduled our appointment incorrectly and did not call to confirm. Comcast scheduled me for a 12 hour "window"! I called 8 times the day before to try and correct THEIR MISTAKE. The first time I called the rep told me she could not give me any information because I was not listed on the account as an "authorized user". I SET UP THE APPOINTMENT. THEY ACCEPT MY CHECKS WITH MY SIGNATURE when the bills are paid-- but could not confirm an appointment that I scheduled? I immediately had my husband call to add me as an "authorized user". I spoke to seven more representatives to try to have my "window" shortened and moved to the morning. (Thank you Vivian, you were the only one that was helpful). I explained to each rep that I would need to reschedule 3 other companies if they were unable to correct this. I requested to speak to a supervisor on 2 different occasions. I left a message for a third supervisor whose number my husband had obtained from a previous disaster with Comcast. Each rep assured me that someone would call me back. I asked if there was a local branch that I could call but, conveniently enough for Comcast, they do not accept incoming calls Another rep told me Comcast would call later that day when they had a better idea of their time frame. I never received a call back. I called the day of - when all the other companies arrived to start on the tree work and cable removal- and that rep told me they would call 30 minutes before they show up and that they still do not have a more specific time frame than the 12 hour window that they scheduled me for. I have never been so disgusted with a company in my life. This is without a doubt the worst "customer service" experience. I feel bad for all the newcomers that sign up with this company. They do not care about their customers and their representatives are useless. They basically tell you what you want to hear in order to get rid of you. There is no way to work with one person and/or reach a supervisor when there is a problem. Comcast scheduled my appointment incorrectly and did nothing to fix their mistake. We decided to keep all of our appointments and hope that Comcast show at a reasonable hour, and if we had to- we would cut the cable wire ourselves and cancel service immediately. Comcast did show up that morning but this is strike 2 for them and we have only been using their service for 10 months! I can't imagine a lifetime with these people! We are currently looking into alternative cable and internet options because this was absolutely unacceptable. Comcast could have saved me 24 hours of grief and aggravation (if they had scheduled the appt correctly to begin with but also) if they had the SIMPLE COURTESY TO CALL ME BACK. read more

So I called xfinity to get internet added to the already crappy cable. They have an offer on line for 75 mbs for 54.99/m. The sales representative tells me that if we just add internet to the package we already have it would be an extra 64.99 month, and we would loose over 40 channels off the tv. then the rep tells me its because we are not new costumers. I reply "so being 15+year loyal customers,, we pay more than the new suckers who go with this company?" He replied "yes" I asked to speak to a supervisor. Im told that there are none available and one would contact me within 4 hours. He also gave a false name and employee number, because i tried to call comcast back and they told me no such person works there. When is someone going to regulate companies like this. Charge you so much for so little, then tell you that new customers are more important than loyal customers read more

EPIC FAILURE - AVOID COMCAST/XFINITY AT ALL COSTS. Would give 0 stars if option existed. Borderline criminal. Customer service is the worst with call centers in foreign countries and you will be on the phone with them for hours, repeating and repeating and repeating problems and NOTHING gets resolved. Language barriers. Automated system sucks as well. Frontier/ATT customer for years and tired of the slow internet speeds. Decided to switch over to Xfinity for their internet and had to get triple play package even though we have no use for land line, have not had one for years. Order has been screwed up from the get go. Tech came and did not want to do work and cancelled my order without telling me. Had to redo order and then tech never showed because they switched appointment without telling me. Wasted a Sunday waiting for a tack who never came. Finally got tech third time, a contractor who said Comcast techs are lazy and often refuse to do work. He drilled holes in my house and eventually ended up putting in wrong order - left me with standard box when I am supposed to have HD box. Wrong channel lineup. Have called Comcast three times go resolve, on the phone for hours... CANCELING SERVICE after having for two days. I mean this, what Comcast is doing is fulfilling a promise of complete negligence. Will be contacting attorney general. And by the way, ran three tests on wireless and top speed was 42 mb download which is nowhere near the up to 100 promised in literature that is mailed to us twice a week for 52 weeks per year. Frontier is about 20 on a good day but rather have that than dealing with the worst company imaginable. read more

Once again i am trying to get work done, and my awful comcast internet is forwarding me to their "captive portal" page. they ask me to download stuff that i already downloaded against my will, and won't let me get to any of the websites i was just on. I couldn't even get on yelp. I am using someone else's computer right now. I am not sure if it's a windows 8 issue, but even if i click the comcast online help chat button, it either goes to a page that you can type a question into, and then it just sits there and nobody responds, or it goes to a page that just says yourinternet isn't working. I have had opportunuty to contact Comcast a couple of times over the past 2 weeks and want to commend the people who have responded to my calls. The first time was to report problems with my Cable reception for which the person on the other end of the line was solicitous and helpful as were the gentlemen who came to fix it, which they did. The second time my son who was connecting a new TV to the DTA (Digital Transport Adapter) called because the process did not seem to be working. The person on the other end of the call to 1-888-634-4434, who identified herslf as Jennifer, was so patient and tried so hard to help. After awhile, my son realized much to his chagrin that the cable was somehow attached to the phone instead of the cable inlet. However, when his friend tried to fix it, he disconnected the phone call. I am trying to, in some way, let Jennifer know that we truly appreciated her help and am so sorry for the way the phone call ended. Thank you all aty Comcast. read more

COMCAST is the WORST company. Wish I could give them negative stars! They do NOT know the meaning of customer service!!!!! We ordered Multiple HD boxes and received 1 when the tech came w/ 1 and basically said he couldn't help b/c all he has is what is on his order from the company. He was supposed to call 1/2 hour before coming but did not!! He told my husband that we could go to cox in the am and get the boxes (that we ALREADY pd for). So I go and they won't give me the boxes b/c my name is not on the account. Even though I live at the address, had the order # and Account number. Oh, and I also have an email address registered to me under that acccount!!!! This after I wait in line for 40 minutes! When I called Comcast to complain, they said it is up to the tech whether they want to call 1/2 before they come or not. He did not have an answer when I asked why the person who set up the service said they would call if it is optional. I'm sorry but for a communications company their communication stinks!!!! People- go with direct TV or ATT if you live where the cable service is comcast!!!! I never had this problem when we had cox Communications for our cable provider!! read more
