Worst service possible. Any projected speed isn't even close to what you will actually get. They overcharge for terrible speeds and even worse customer service. They will blame your equipment over and over and just continue to replace your modem to appear to be doing something to "fix" your issues. I currently pay for 100 Mbps and I am actually getting less than 5. If you can go with any other provider I recommend you give them a shot before stooping to giving this joke of a "provider" your money. read more

Writing this one month after getting Xfinity installed and the internet has gone out 3 times since I started typing. 2 tech appointments, putting in splitters, etc - the third appointment never showed nor called. I have another appointment on Wednesday. Internet completely went out during my biggest remote presentation of the year. Terrible company. I felt compelled to leave a review after my experience. I had used them for the past two years with no issues (other than a pretty high bill for JUST internet). I bought a house and decided to transfer my service. I spoke with a chat agent who gave me a new promotion. they offered no details about changing my service over though, and upon asking questions, I was told all I had to do was unhook my equipment at the old address and hook it up at the new one. Move in day! I hooked up my equipment and the internet did not worked. I spend almost two hours on the phone to be told that things hadnt been connected to my Modem properly, but they fixed it. For some reason it won't work until tomorrow I was told, so when you wake up it will be on. okay. The next morning, no internet. I called them back and they said yet again, things were turning and I'd have access within 24 hours. alternatively, I could bring my modem into a comcast store and they could 'connect' it immediately. I brought my modem into a store and the associate was completely perplexed that I was told to do this. he told me to bring it back home, connect it, and use the app to connect the modem. After doing this, still no internet. I called Comcast back again. Now (after prodding and asking the right questions) I was told that my house had never been wired for Comcast. I was irate that they couldn't have told me before this was a possibility. They told me they could send a tech tomorrow from 5-7 to hook it up. okay! Next day. Im waiting for the tech to show. Since I never received a confirmation (other then being told the service was scheduled), I speak with another chat agent. They confirm that I'm scheduled and a tech is on the way. Fast forward to 7:15 and no one has showed. My partner calls Comcast and tells them the situation. The agent proceeds to tell us that a Tech was NEVER SCHEDULED. Cancelled our service. This was unacceptable. I switched to a different ISP that sends confirmations, is cheaper, and dosent pester me to add other services. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. Customer service is absolute trash. We had a scheduled appointment today between 8-10am. At 9am, I get a notification that the technician is arriving. Bullshit. I've been sitting at home all morning and can see the street and the front door. No one has arrived. 10am rolls around, still no technician even after the 9am notification. That's one hour later. I contact customer service by chat and they tell me they're backed up and will be another hour. I ask them why I got the notification at 9am then, and they have no response. 11am rolls around, still no technician. Now I get on the phone with them, after their absolutely shit automated system simply designed to piss you off with irrelevant questions to run you in circles. This agent tells me a "hold" got put on our appointment and a flag saying "needs permission" because they need someone home to grant access. Again, I've been sitting at home waiting since 7:30am. BULL.SHIT. No one came by. It's all a lie. So now they have to try and get a technician to "come back" (again, after not having come in the first place). They can't guarantee they can come back today, even after I've taken the day to wait at home instead of going to work. We're now scheduled for tomorrow and won't offer any additional credit or compensation for this wasted day, wasted efforts, LIES by their own customer support AND technician. PLEASE, for your own sanity, go with a different service provider. ANYONE else will be better than Xfinity. I can't even comment on the value of their service because they haven't given us any. When trying to resolve an outstanding balance that should have been wiped, I thought for sure this was a scam. I would never recomend Xfinity, and if thats all you can get, I would consider drastic solutions for alternatives. The speed I paid for never delivered close to 1 gbps and instead hovered between 500-700 mbps, random outages, with sluggish recovery. I truly dont have anything positive to say about my experience with Xfinity and it seems to be a system designed to never let you find resolution with loopholes of promises from fake support and a phone system that will never connect you to your issue, unless of course you indicate you are looking to renew your service, that part works. read more

Do not waste your money with these clowns. I supposedly have 1,200 mb internet download speed, and tonight it is at 35 mb. This is just a bit slower than normal, which on a fast day might reach 300 mb. The box by the street has been broken for almost a year, with cables openly exposed to the elements. Nothing is done in spite of repeated reports and their technicians coming out here. Comcast is a joke, out to steal your money, lock you in a contract, and provide NO SERVICE. Screw them! It's a shame I can't give negative stars. Or even zero. They made promises. They texted us the day of scheduled installation saying they would show up. They didn't show up. They didn't call. They just rescheduled us at a time and date that is completely untenable. To make matters worse, they required us to bundle either Internet services or cable services in order to get the home alarm services. Not surprisingly, the cable guy showed up promptly. But the home alarm guy was a no-show no call. To me that equals no deal. So they can take back their bleeping cable box that I didn't want to begin with. my phone was lost and when I went into the store I thiught I had a good experience. I asked all the questions like what's it going to cost. they did it have my phone in stock and claimed they only had the new iPhone 15. I was told I'd only pay $160 something and that's it. I was relieved a little being told that's all I'd pay. a month later my bill has doubled monthly and I'm told it's for the next 16 months I was never told this. Beyond terrible. Poor service for years. Issue is old wiring at the poles resulting in sporadic cable, internet and telephone. Xfinity has numerous reports filed by technicians but doesn't fix the issue. It's the worst company with a more or less monopoly. Prices are extremely high and constantly going up. After over 2 hours on the phone with Xfinity regarding loss of my internet the untrained tech cut the channel line-up on my TV!! Apparently his actions could not be reversed. To receive one channel back my monthly bill would be increased. Then talking to another Xfinity representative it was discovered that I've been paying every month for the landline service. I haven't had a landline in 20 years. Xfinity doesn't seem to know which end is up and they are not very customer service oriented. THEY ARE CHARGING PEOPLE FOR SERVICES NOT EVEN OBTAINABLE First off I do want to start off by saying we have had the services for the past 18 months, have not had any issues with internet and have always been happy with the service. In the last few weeks is really when this disconnect happened and we are not to sure what we need to do at this point as we do not get anything back from Xfinity on the situation after being told we will get calls back.. Here is the break down of what happened. We have been on the 1200 MGPS plan for the last 18 months. About two weeks ago we noticed we were having slower speeds and had some life style changes so now we have two people working from home when before we had none. We figured the speed we were on was enough, we called and talk to a rep that let us know we have the most up to date equipment. We are still experiencing slow speeds so they send a technician out. The first thing the technician says is that we need a more up to date modem as the one we have can only output up to 1000 MGPS. He did a speed test to show me he was getting right around 900 MGPS hardwired into the modem. He swaps the modem out and we are now getting 1300 MGPS (give or take) Awesome problem fixed but the tech encouraged us to call in as we were paying for the 1200 MGPS and we were only able to get 1000 MGPS per the equipment that was provided. Given that this was equipment provided by Xfinity and two - three days ago someone was just telling us we had the most up to date equipment. We call in a few days after the tech was here to figure out why we're being charged for the 1200 MGPS when we could only get 1000 MGPS. Right away the representative is calling the technician a liar and saying our equipment was capable of running up to that speed and she then started to get argumentative and essentially keep telling us we are in the wrong. We ask to speak with a supervisor as we thought this was not being handled fairly. The supervisor was able to offer $100 credit and was completely understanding on the situation. My wife and I did not thing that was fair as in the last 18 months we have paid them right around $3000 (we are underestimating this) and we have not been able to receive around 20% of the services we were paying for. We thought this was again not fair and thought the company should make this right. They then transfer us to another department that is billing I believe. The representative then is understanding and mentions they have to get this to the higher ups to review but we should see a credit of $300-$400 as we were paying for something we were not capable of getting. At this point we are satisfied. She lets us know to follow up in 72 hours for an update on everything. We call back about 4 - 5 business days after, have not seen anything on the account and wanted to give them time to review everything. When we get connected, there are no notes on the account and the couple notes that are on the account are essentially people noting that we are asking for a credit because of services being down.. or something in that nature but nothing about the situation and nothing about billing or anything like that. We are frustrated at this point but we go through things again and we get the representative essentially telling us we dont deserve a credit as xy and z. We ask to get moved over to a supervisor and we are just truly disrespected at this point. The supervisor is being professional about what he is saying but is not being professional on what he means by what he is saying. We go through an hour of this constant back and forth to again basically be disrespected and to not come near a solution. The supervisor believe we are not eligible for a credit as we did not have any service outages. This was 48 hours ago, where we ended the call the supervisor was going to have his manager give us a call and we have not heard anything and at this point we are not sure what needs to be done. It is about the money yes but it is about the principle. If this was something we did not notice, how many people does Xfintiy have paying for services they are not able to receive given the equipment they provide.. I think they may be taking advances of customers and lying to them & something needs to be done/changed about it. Throughout the process we are being told completely different things from every single person that we have talked to. Nothing is consistent and it is not just about what can be done on the account but everything from our history on the account to when certain equipment came out and even how equipment performs. When we called in the last time to get an update on everything we were at the point of wanting to just take the $100 credit offered and having the services cancelled. That did not happen unfortunately. I would urge everyone to check their plan details and make sure they are receiving the speed they say they are giving! read more

My Xfinity channel lineup says I get the Big Ten Network, but when I try and watch it, I get a message that says I don't subscribe, and to call Xfinity. I called Xfinity today; they emailed me my channel lineup and sure enough it says I get it as part of my lineup. But, they want me to subscribe separately and charge my $10 a month for it. I sure do like my new Xfinity Triple Play!! **Tyler & Matt** came by today and set me up. They checked my exterior cable wiring, installed my new, super-fast, compact modem & a new TV set box. They also connected my existing interior phone wiring into the Xfinity cable wiring. That works GREAT as now my wife can still use her existing line phone right in the kitchen, plugged into the same phone jack as before, even though my new voice modem is in the bedroom. Had no issues with internet when i used them for two years. When I canceled my account and services because I moved they kept charging me for 2 months. I called to remind them that I cancled and that I already made the payments to cancle my services 3 times with in those two months. I'm writing this today because they still have not cancled my services after the 4th time and have charged me a 3rd time. They are extremely difficult to deal with when canceling services. They said that they had bo record of me making payments. So if you go with them keep records of your bank statements. Wish me luck getting this resolved because this is extremely inconvenient and unnecessary. read more
