Drew K. helped answer questions, provided phone and service options, and it was not a hard-sell experience. So, I upgraded both the phone and service. Since the phone had to be ordered, I received a call from Drew a week or two later. I went back on Halloween, only because there was an additional discount expiring that day on accessories, and Drew helped port all the information from my old phone to the new one. As I was waiting, he told me about his Halloween costume that he made on his own: a General Kenobi costume from The Clone Wars. I'm a big Star Wars geek, so I totally appreciated the conversation. Drew couldn't complete the trade-in deal in the store, but gave me specific instructions on how to do it so that I would receive full credit for the upgrade. I appreciate Drew's professionalism and attitude. It made the process go a lot more smoothly. Ask for Drew K if you want great service!

Explained what the issue was and what Apple had done and their results. He did some checking of things and finally stated that we would have to wait until a manager came in to swap it out. That would be in a couple of hours. We came back at the appointed time and met with John the Assistant Manager from another store. He did some THOROUGH testing with several of the corporate techs. The whole time he was keeping us abreast of what they were doing. After all was done the issue wasn't resolved. They decided that they would swap out the phone for a new one. Did I like spending 6 hours there. No but Pop's and John made it enjoyable as they worked diligently to try to solve our issues. Could I have been upset about it all, easily but both of them made easy to be there explaining the whole process that they go through. AT&T you are fortunate to have these 2 employees.

I drove all the way from Colorado Springs because this was the closest location with pickup availability when I pre-ordered. My appointment was at 10 AM, but I arrived an hour early at 9 AM, and they let me pick it up anyway. Everyone I interacted with was nice and seemed eager to help, even though I didn't really need much assistance. One of the guys even offered to install the screen protector I brought with me, but I told him I'd do it myself since I'm particular about getting it perfectly aligned with absolutely no dust underneath lol. There were a decent number of people walking in hoping to get a Duo for themselves, but surprisingly, the store wasn't nearly as crowded as I expected. The actual pickup process was pretty quick, but I ended up staying longer than anticipated because the iCloud restore was taking forever. I also had to wait another 30 minutes or so because Visible required me to unlock my line. Overall, I really can't complain! Considering all the negative reviews I'd read beforehand, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the staff were and how smoothly everything went. Maybe I just got lucky, but it was definitely a much better experience than I'd been expecting.

I was in a bind for a project, so I didn't mind the wait. The staff were friendly and kept me updated on the wait and delays as I hung out in the lobby for the extra hour. Since I had coverage through my cell phone carrier and was able to file a claim, I did not need to pay for a new battery. I was happy with the work done and will use uBreakiFix by Asurion again. Hopefully, I won't need to use them too soon in the future :)

I bought one of their pretty wood cases for my phone while I was there. The point of buying the case was to avoid breaking my screen again... ...Which brings me to yesterday. While in line to pay at a store I accidentally let my phone slip through my hand and it fell to the floor instead of my pocket, it's intended destination. Although it landed flat on its back, with a case on, I could see immediately that the screen was shattered. (Again. Just lovely,) But when I picked up the phone and saw that the fall actually broke the case too. So not only did the crappy case not protect my phone, it also didn't even survive. What's even the point? And now this morning. Seeing as how I can't really afford another replacement screen, and I wasn't left all that impressed by my first experience, I was just going to have a broken screen for awhile. But this morning, my stupid alarm went off and for the first time ever my phone vibrated itself off the edge of my bed. (I have a platform bed with a little bit of a lip where I usually set my phone to charge overnight. It's about 16 inches from the floor.) Welp. Now the screen is completely f#cked and unusable. I can't see the time or notifications. I certainly can't make calls out and I doubt very much I can receive calls because how can I answer my phone? In the end a new screen was okay except the Tiny Black Dot which was mildly distracting. But the case? Waste of money. Just absolutely worthless. Edit: I called the place before I got their message contacting me here. They did a great job of working with me to negotiate a price to fix my phone again. I bought a new case elsewhere that has a higher protective rating so I shouldn't have to fix it again. This new screen does not have the little black dot, it looks perfect. And they gave me a free screen protector too.
