I am supposed to be getting 100 Mbps but I get a whopping 20 on a good day. At least with Comcast I payed for 50 Mbps and got 30 Mbps. Furthermore, Verizon came out and installed my Fios then told me that within the next few days my cable would be buried in October. Guess what, the cable is still not buried (January) after continuously calling and complaining. If it was Comcast, they would be out here within a couple days. Please people, do yourself a favor and completely avoid Fios at select any other internet company. Verizon is a mammoth sized company that only cares about money and is not worth the headache.

They acknowledged that I did not have the service and that the bill was a mistake, issued a credit, and told me it would not happen again. This has been repeated now for 4 months in a row and I fully expect to have to do it for installments 5 and 6. I even spoke to a supervisor last month and they gave me a ticket#. It doesn't help that each of these calls lasts 30-60 minutes (I get put on hold multiple times and have to answer the same questions multiple times (like "what is your phone number and can we call and text it about our services" (answer always no))!

So for starters let's try focusing on some of the good. The digital cable sure does hook up one sweet looking picture. In that regard I'm pretty sure that they're still doing it the best. the long list of movie, radio, and sports stations also provide some serious distractions (for better and worse). And hell, the On Demand option gives you the chance to catch up on random Animes during hour's where no one in their right frame of mind should be watching random Animes (Not that I ever suggested that I was in a right frame of mind - as this review may indicate.). Did I cut through that freaking wire yet? No? crud - lets go through some of that bad. Overall I pretty much liken Comcast to The Empire in Star Wars. right now when it comes to cable and Internet here they're pretty much the grandmasters. Verizon and -are their any other options?- are getting there, but they're not really much of a rebellion (I liken them to Jabba the Hutt and his crew - only not as fat and sluggish or as bad ass as Boba Fett!). There was nothing obstructing the vents and I was getting pretty aggravated. I contact customer service finally and let them know what I'd been going through. She said it was probably a faulty fan inside. Understandable being I had had the box 6 plus years. I was already plotting my Netflix play list while I wait the 5 business days for my new box to arrive. I was completely shocked when I opened the front door at 10am the next day (today) and found a DirectTV box sitting on my porch. I even started to question myself- I did just call yesterday afternoon right? Had I been sleep for five days? I am very pleased and happy to have my new box in such record time. Thank you DirectTV!

When I received my first bill, it was higher than the advertised quote. Not only was it higher, but they are now trying to add a optional service maintenance charge of $9.99 per month. This charge was not discussed at the time I was considering Directv as my provided. Now I'm stuck for two years. My previous provided was Dish TV, who is not much better because they did the same thing,but Dish TV has better free monthly movies. Bill L
