I brought CPS a Maxtor disc drive with what I thought was a bad motor. I thought that was the…read moreproblem because when I tried to use it, the unit was dead quiet, no sound of the disc turning, no vibration, nothing. The owner told me there was a bad sector on the disc and he wanted to sell me a new remote drive. Very expensive! Something didn't seem right so I paid him for the work he had done and took my drive home. On another occasion, I brought in my cell phone to replace a damaged screen. He didn't tell me it couldn't be fixed, neither did he say it had to be sent out for repair, which turned out to be the truth. He did say it would ready in a couple days. So after a couple days I went back to check on it and found out it wasn't ready and it wasn't in the store. I asked why he would say "ready in a couple days" when the truth was something else. All he would say was " we'll call when it's done". No other details provided. When I asked again why didn't he say that when I brought it in, he just kept repeating "we'll call when it's done", like a parrot. If you've had good experience with this shop, consider yourself lucky.
