Walking by Wurstküche you always get a whiff of really appetizing smelling fries. I'm happy we finally decided to stop by and try it out since it's always so lively here. Their menu consisted a huge selection of beer, sausages and dipping sauces for fries. We opted for the Duchesse sour, Dr. Browns Black Cherry pop, Duck sausage, Buffalo sausage, and small fries with curry ketchup. The ambience was great! It felt like a beer hall since it had long tables and benches in the middle, everyone was drinking beer having a great time. There were also smaller cozier tables on the side if you wanted a more intimate space. We enjoyed our drinks and people watched while we waited for our food. The Duchesse red ale sour was really yummy, it was a good balance of sweet and tartness. We got the duck, bacon, and jalapeño sausage with sweet peppers and caramelized onions, the hot dog was delicious!! The sausage was a bit rich but the savory flavours were incredible, it was grilled well with a nice crispy skin and paired really well with the sweet peppers. You also get a huge selection of different mustards to try - yellow, dijon, seeded, honey, brown, you name it, they've got it. The buffalo, cherry and mint sausage was very good as well, but it's a bit more dry and gamey than the duck. The grilled bun is just ok, it's a solid blank canvas to highlight the tasty sausages. The fries are fat boys and seasoned very well. I normally am not a fan of thick fries but these changed my mind, the curry ketchup gave it a nice complexity as well. I just wish they gave you more sauce since the fries are so chunky. :) Had a really fun time overall and can't wait to come back and try their other sausages and beer options.

This place is always recommended to me on Yelp anytime I try to find places to eat in Little Tokyo and technically it's in the Arts District, but it's within walking distance. I've had my brother and several friends say that it's good and since we were closer to this area for a pop up event, we dropped by and I finally had a chance to try it. We visited during the final game of the World Cup, so there was no more indoor dining, but there's a couple bench tables outside at the side of the building. Part of the building shades over the seating, so even on a pretty hot day, this worked in a pinch and there was a slight breeze too, thank goodness. Staff was helpful and and answered our questions. They also brought our order out to the tables outside, which was nice. They also took our trash and tray back when we were done too. Each table has ketchup, brown and spicy mustard if need be. Inside, you order and pay at the cashier, grab a number, and they bring it to you. There's a bunch of sausage links on display, as well as the sodas and you can see some of the beer that they have too. For our Sunday lunch, we got the: 1) Sunset Zero soda: -It's an imported German soda. Love that there's a zero sugar version. It's a citrus cola with ending vanilla notes. Way better than some of the orange Pepsi/Pepsi Fire they ran in the past. Nice to try. 2) Rattlesnake & Rabbit with Jalapeno Peppers: -Unique combination of predator and prey meats all encased into one sausage. Also, not often you can get these meats as well. -Slight spicy kick to it from the jalapenos and rich, buttery texture of the meats together. -Each hot dog comes with 2 toppings and we got caramelized onions and sauerkraut with this which added a nice sour and sweet taste to it too. -I liked this the most of the 2 of them. 3) Pheasant with Herbs de Provence: -Nice savory flavor, but I was a fool and ordered this with the sweet and spicy peppers as a topping since they were different from the other toppings we got and I mostly just tasted the bitter aftertaste of the peppers that sort of overpowered the meats. My mistake if anything since the bites with just meat and mustard were delicious. 4) Groot of Belgian Fries: -Huge serving, way too much for 2 people especially with 2 hot dogs and we sadly could not finish it, but at the very least it came with 2 dipping sauces. -Before ordering this, I didn't groot referred to anything other than a Marvel character. -Fries had a rich, deeper flavor than standard fries, nice slight crispiness. We got it with curry ketchup and sundried tomato mayo. The tomato mayo was fine, definitely a lighter flavor and since the fries tasted so rich on their own, I feel like the curry ketchup was a more flavorful and better match. I love a good hot dog, so being able to try it with more exotic meats, flavors, and sauces makes it definitely worth stopping by.
Wurstkücke has a very special place in my heart. I've been coming here forever. Drunken birthday parties squirting mustard, Belgian beers before a Lakers or Dodgers game, succulent sausages after a rainy LA Auto Show, and many more memories. I love this place and I know you will too. The beer selection is TOP NOTCH and can get a liter which I love. The sausages and fries are the BEST. The dipping choices for the fries are out of this world. Unsung hero is the complimentary self serve flavored water. Service is great and they let me know about dairy allergies which I appreciated. I'm sure I will be back the next time I'm in Downtown La La Land.
My friend and I had been wanting to try wurstkuche for a while and it didn't disappoint. Parking can be a little annoying but we were lucky enough to find street parking nearby. The space has a dark, industrial vibe, and I loved seeing the sausage display when you walk in. We shared the duck & bacon, mango jalapeño, rattlesnake & rabbit, and the Klein. The duck & bacon was easily our favorite. It was juicy and packed with flavor. The mango jalapeño had a nice balance of sweet and savory but I wish it had more heat. The rattlesnake & rabbit was interesting but could've used a little more salt. I also loved the toasted buns, sauerkraut, and caramelized onions. The fries were fluffy inside but I wish they were a little crispier. I also loved their beer selection and they let us sample a few before ordering. If you go definitely get the Kasteel Tropicale!! It was my favorite beer of the night! The service was great and the cashiers gave us awesome recommendations. Overall, I'd definitely come back. It's a fun spot to grab beers and sausages with friends!
A friend of mine used to come here when he was in the area for school back in the late 00s and he said this place is still pretty much the same as it had been back then. Great food, and great fries. We wanted to go here for a while and we somehow ended up coming when the World Cup game was going on with the inside PACKED, so in the patio area outside we went! Everyone was pretty kind but security was rough since the inside was packed. Was hard to get water or even go to the restroom without being questioned.. but I understand why it had to be that way. We lined up, placed our order at the counter then were sat outside along the sidewalk area. Was a really nice day and we got the Filipino sausage, rattlesnake and rabbit, and buffalo cherry. All were delicious but the real star I think was the Belgian Fries. Delicious and crispy and perfectly filling alongside the sausages. Curry ketchup and the blue cheese walnut sauce elevated the fries even further! Cannot wait to try more from here.
One of my favorite spots in the arts district. Tons of seating no frills good food good drinks what more could you ask for. My go to order is a hot link with sauerkraut small fries to share with a curry ketchup. They have like 7 different mustards on the side. Last time I came I also ordered one of their cocktails shone Vogel super yummy tequila Paloma drink and my boyfriend loves their beers. Good for big groups, good for a pregame, or late night drunchies wurstkuche never disappoints.
We stumbled upon this place while shopping nearby. We loved how cool the place was and that it was something different from your usual restaurants. I got the chicken sausage with apple & spices with large fries. Soo good! Service was cool fast, cheerful and helpful!
I have been going to Wurstküche heavily when it first opened and then sporadically throughout the years. Although I have changed as a person, Wurstküche is still a solid place where you can have a casual, good quality food with great drinks (beer and international sodas.) The sausages are of high quality meats, cooked to perfection with tons of flavor and a good snap at the bite. Everything that I have tried was delicious- bratwurst, hot Italian, Kielbasa, duck and bacon, even the rattlesnake/rabbit. The one that I have always ordered was the Filipino sausage, the Maharlika. The fries are crispy and addictive. There are several dipping sauces available and I like the curry ketchup and the blue cheese and bacon. Service is efficient and fast. You order at the front counter and someone will bring it out to your table. In this location, the patio area is located by the sidewalk/street and it is covered and enclosed, but still open to the public. What I love about this place is that this is a perfect vibe to hang out with friends. It is chill, trendy and not pretentious. It is busy but not as crowded as it was years ago. It's a good mix of people but you don't have a hard time looking for a place to sit or feel rushed to leave after eating your dish.
10/10 forgot this place existed! I've been to The Venice Beach location but boy was this a perfect spot after a show at the Moroccan Lounge. Perfect little tucked away joint with the most delicious dogs. So flavorful, a variety of wild options to choose from. Guys up front are always first for recommendations for food or beers on tap, highly recommended to go with their choices! Super nice and friendly staff! You order first then go sit down. The mustard choices are also super rad offering a different variety! Perfect munchies spot after a late night show! Ordered the Louisiana Hot and Fries with Chipotle catch up. For sureeeeeeee amazing
Food was ok 3.5 out of 5. Truffle fries were the center of attraction. We were happy that they served delirium which is rare in the states. Service is friendly and wait times were minimum. Ambiance was on brand with arts district - exposed ceilings, dark, and open concept.
It's been a minute since I've been here, but somehow when we have a long night in the Arts District, we always end up at Wurstkuche. The long wooden tables are packed with people and there's almost kind of an Oktoberfest vibe. Rattlesnake & Rabbit with Jalapeño: I decided to go with one of the exotic options. The sausage is rather mild and buttery in flavor with a firm chicken-like texture. There's a great snap, but the jalapeño peppers don't really register any heat. The freshly baked roll is good and crispy, soft and chewy. Maybe the best thing is the giant plate of toppings. I added it all, caramelized onions, peppers, raw onions, and sauerkraut. The mustard selection is also solid with whole grain, yellow, and brown. Definitely get the fries. They are crispy and soft in all the right ways.
Hard to find street parking. Paid $5 per hour for a nearby lot. Came on a Sunday night. There was a line, waited about 15minutes in line. Got the classic Bratwurst and Bockwurst for $11 each. Unfortunately they ran out of the Rattlesnake and Rabbit with Jalapeño Peppers very early. Two of the four toppings were included. We chose caramelized onion and sauerkraut. Got the Cucumber Soda for $4.50. The sausages were good. Liked the many condiments available. The Dijon Mustard was hard to get a hold of. The cucumber soda was interesting and enjoyable. Enjoyed that there were crayons to draw on the paper covering the table. There was the outside patio and indoor dining hall. There was a water station available in the dining area. It was very crowded on a Sunday night. Overall, enjoyed the experience.
Came back another time! This time I got the Lamb Duck and bacon Rabbit and snake Pheasant I love this place the interior is so beautiful You really get to explore flavors here! Staff is always so knowledgeable! read more

Our annual visit to LA also means another visit to Wurstküche! Ever since my son introduced us to this place, we've been fans. I got my usual, the Bockwurst with caramelized onions and sauerkraut. I don't remember what my husband and son ordered... We also got the fries to share. Everything tasted great as always but unfortunately, a couple of the sausages were quite charred this time. That was disappointing because we could actually taste the bitterness from the burnt parts. We've always had such a good experience here so hopefully this was just an off day. Next spring could be our last annual visit to LA since my son will be graduating from college. We'll definitely visit Wurstküche again and hopefully everything will be back to the way we remember it! read more

You can't go wrong here. I've been coming here for years and have tried quite a few of the sausage options and none of them are bad! If you can't choose just get a classic, or if you're feeling adventurous try the rabbit or rattlesnake. Top yours with onions and peppers + some of the delicious mustard options they have in bottles on the tables. The fries are double fried, hot, and crispy and can be paired with different sauces. Grab a beer or cider off their extensive list and you're good to go. It can get very crowded and busy here but the service is always fast and the crowd is always good vibes. They're open late and next door is Bar Eighty-Two. read more
Wurstküche is a German beer hall known for their unique sausages ranging from familiar classics such as bratwurst and hot italian sausage to more adventurous combinations including rattlesnake, rabbit, or pheasant. I always add caramelized onions as a topping and there are also many mustards on the side to choose from (whole grain, dijon, spicy brown, honey mustard, yellow)! So far I've tried the following: Marhalika 5/5 Kielbasa 2/5 Jalapeño mango 3/5 Bratwurst 4.5/5 It's super chill and casual! You order at the register and wait for your number to be called. There's lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is tough here but that's to be expected in Arts District. read more
What can I say I love good food and this place if you want a the wurst of the best kinds of exotic sausages come here I had snake and rabbit and it was delicious!! They had a great beer selection too Service was good and friendly and it's a good vibe overall It is communal seating so you may end up seating with other folks but it's a fun place and quality food is great but it's one of those you gotta keep going back to order it's not a sit down and get service read more
Wow, definitely worth the searching to find the door and nearby parking. You order in the entrance alcove and then await your meal way down the hall and to the left in a unique room with lots of atmosphere. Food was great and proportions more than adequate. Hope to be back here again. read more
Good selection of German beers and sausages in the Arts District. Went as part of a birthday pub crawl - had a few different beers, albeit 2 of them on the menu were tapped out. Had some various sausages as well, which were all pretty good but were also a bit pricey. All in all, a good spot with lots of seating - just a bit expensive for what it is. read more

Simple ordering style. Easy menu to navigate. Service was pretty straight forward order at the counter and they bring it to you. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was fast. Fries were delicious and im more of a shoestring kind of girl. As far as the bratwurst and the link they were pretty good not sure they really stood out as "must have" though we enjoyed it. read more
My husband took me here for the very first time fairly two years ago, and we've been coming here every blue moon when we are in the area. I love the creation of this hidden gem, and the location is pretty dope. The gentlemen employees were very helpful and patient as we navigated around the menu. I enjoyed my hotdog very much, and I'm sure my partner enjoyed mine more it's a lovely hipster environment, and it's surrounded in the heart of DTLA, so it's worth the visit! 12/1/2025 Wurstkuche 800 E 3rd St Los Angeles, CA 90013 I went with my nephew on his recommendation for a late lunch on a Tuesday. This German sausage place is near Little Tokyo in DTLA. There is only pay street parking but we had no problem finding a spot a block away, not typical. The set up is an order counter, pay and take your aluminum number tower to your table. The menu cards are at the counter. The menu consists of gourmet hot dogs, toppings, fries and German/Belgian beers. There are both interior and exterior tables. It was a nice day so we chose the patio with a picnic table setup. We ordered the Hot Italian and Hungarian Heat with fries. Our meal in aluminum trays was brought shortly by our very nice server. The Italian was good but I thought the Hungarian was better flavored. Both had good heat. The wedge fries were piping hot, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside; outstanding. They also have fresh sausage in the display case for take home. A large variety of sausages to explore next time. Very repeatable. read more

I have been here many times and I have never had a bad experience. Its in a nice location of LA, its a big place, great drinks, and amazing food. The service has always been friendly and the staff has always been willing to answer any questions on their menu. This time I ordered the Duck & Bacon with Jalapeño Peppers Brat and I added caramelized onions, and sauerkraut. Fries are ordered separately and I elected Chipotle Aioli for my side sauce. We were in the Art District and decided to stop in for dinner and weren't disappointed. This spot had such a great LA vibe, bustling ambiance, and sleek decor. The assortment of hot dogs are amazing but the tastes are even better! I had the chicken sausage, it was just so flavorful, delicious, and well crafted. There a great assortment of drinks and alcohol beverages. The staff are friendly, attentive, and polite. We had a great time and amazing dinning experience. We're definitely be back!! read more
I've come here a few times and I don't find it to be up to the hype. The hot dogs are good and they have a good variety but nothing to die for and think they're overpriced. I've gotten the Chicken Apple Spice x 2 and the Mango Jalapeño. Both taste about the same. You can sit outside in their sidewalk patio or inside. There's plenty of space and bar. Theres plenty of paid parking lots but also street parking. read more

Yes another review for this place is needed! First off I came here when they first opened, I'm Guessing 15 plus years ago & guess what? Looks the same! I'm going to highlight the incredible professional staff & their little tequila drinky thingy is strong AF I detest heavy fancy craft tap beer etc but they have a strong tasty cocktail (I think it's on tap too) & 2 of these will buzz me up ! I love that the bun is crunchy-ish on the ends Ive had lamb sausage & veal, rabbit & first time was something exotic like snake or whatever The napkins they have are so thick & sturdy I really fell in love! I love the vibez in here ! Absolutely disgraceful experience. Avoid this place at all costs. We came here specifically to watch the World Cup Final and spent a significant amount of money ordering food and drinks. Instead of treating paying customers with basic respect, an employee who claimed to be the manager immediately became hostile toward our group because he thought we were standing too close together. Throughout the entire time, he repeatedly yelled at us, cursed at us, and spoke to us with extreme aggression and disrespect. We stayed calm, remained polite, and did everything we could to avoid any confrontation. As soon as we finished eating, he suddenly claimed that we had never ordered anything and demanded that we leave. When we explained that we had just purchased multiple food and drink items, he refused to listen. Instead, he continued shouting, physically pushed members of our group toward the exit, and tried to force us out. What made the situation even worse was that he ordered the rest of the staff to stop serving our group, and after that, no server was willing to help us. We were effectively denied service despite being paying customers. We genuinely felt that we were being singled out and treated differently because we are Asian. Being verbally abused, cursed at, physically pushed, and denied service while simply trying to enjoy the World Cup Final is completely unacceptable. We later found out the owner is Jake. If this is how customers are treated under his management, he should be ashamed. This is without question one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I will never return and strongly recommend that everyone avoid this place. read more

We only cary the Weissbier not the Dunkel. Since AB Inbev took over the brand its been really poorly supported in the US.
