I've tried WundaBar in Montrose and Los Feliz. First time at this studio. Booked this class through Class Pass. Plenty of street parking if you are lucky to get a free spot, and I was!! Short walk to the studio. Once I walked in, I noticed how clean and organized the studio looked. Found the cubbies to place my stuff in. The instructor was very nice and gave good instructions. I noticed right away that there were MANY beginners in the class, so the class was easier than I would have liked. In general, I feel WundaBar is much easier than Motivate or Lagree. Would I come back? Sure, but hopefully it will be a little more challenging.

Had my first-ever Wundabar class and it was decently nice! My instructor was Carrie and she was an absolute delight. So positive and friendly and welcoming. Upon entering, she confirmed it was my first time at the studio and showed me around / showed how to use their pilates reformers. The class size was pretty small. There were only 7 people in my class (some slots were not filled) and the instructor will walk around and give hands-on adjustments. Carrie also walked around the class and gave lots of personal positive reinforcement. She's truly a really awesome instructor and kind person. Knocked off a star because I didn't think the class was particularly challenging or new. A lot of the exercises seemed to mimic moves that you could do with mat pilates. I did not break a sweat nor was I tired or sore the next day (which makes me question the quality of my workout). I also wasn't a fan of the resistance ring. I don't believe the studio itself has any showers or locker rooms. There are cubbies where you can store your shoes and belongings - but no way to lock your stuff. The interior design is nothing breathtaking or IG-worthy. I've tried most other pilates studios in Pasadena and I would say this was probably the most lackluster in terms of design (but not docking stars for that because who really cares - a cute studio is just a cherry on top of a good workout). The choice of music also wasn't to my taste and can tell they didn't invest much into their sound system. Parking is street parking only - depending on what time/day your class is, parking can be easier or more difficult. There's a nice cafe right next door and the Pasadena location is very close to lots of shops, restaurants, and cafes.

Haven't been to the gym for over 2 years! If you have been working out at home, you MUST come here to unlock all under utilized muscles that you don't think you have. I lack coordination which deems challenging following instructions. But Ms. Amy Jordan is very insightful, fun telling me not to worry about what your neighbor is doing, just focus on yourself. Class size is small which the instructor will spot you out and correct your posture right away. It is well lit, clean and airy at the studio. Easy parking on the street or lots around corners!

The class options and times make it easy to show up, the studio is spotless, and everything runs smoothly without feeling rigid or cold. What really makes this studio stand out is the instruction. The teachers are paying attention. They correct your form, they want you doing the workout correctly, and it shows. This isn't a "do your own thing in the corner" kind of class. You feel guided, supported, and challenged in the right way. I especially loved my class with Emily. She was able to gauge exactly what I was doing incorrectly and came over to help me in a way that felt thoughtful and encouraging. I genuinely appreciated that level of awareness. They also make an effort to remember your name, which tells you everything about the culture and how much they value customer satisfaction. I leave class feeling stronger and mentally clearer every single time, which iswhy I keep coming back. If you're even on the fence about barre, take one class here. You may get hooked too.

The classroom size is pretty big - about 20-30 people and they have a livestream too for people joining remotely. Restrooms are fully stocked with deodorant, perfumes, etc. The class itself is a mix of abs, stretching, and easy workouts (imagine pulsing a 2 lb weight 50 times). Parking was easy as there's paid parking structures nearby all around. For class, if you find the Pasadena city owned parking structures, it's just $1 to park for the hour and change.

But…read moreupon attending my second class in April 2026 I had to take three minutes before class to fill out a parking validation form on my phone, asking for a ton of information as part of their new parking policy. The validation is for 58 minutes and doesn't even cover a whole class and time it takes to get back to your car (see the receipt attached below). This is an important detail because the building that hosts Pasadena Corepower (Residences at Westgate, owned by Greystar LLC) contracts with a predatory tow agency called Metro Towing. Warning: Metro Towing will absolutely tow your car if they have any chance. They did this to my friend, and CorePower staff lamented it had happened to numerous others, including the instructors. Go to the Metro Towing Yelp page and you can see how this company makes its money. The cost of getting your car back will be at least $530, and Metro Towing company is incredibly rude and dismissive when you call them. To be clear: the most troubling part of this whole towing situation is the complacent "oh well!" attitude taken by CorePower management. Their guests and instructors are getting their cars towed and they don't seem to even care! They put a small update on their formal website saying you now need to validate your parking- but honestly, who checks the website before taking a class? (By contrast, the facility where I play indoor soccer sent out SIX emails over two weeks with detailed maps showing where exactly to park in order not to get towed by neighboring businesses. That is how you get out in front of things and take care of your guests, even when the parking situation isn't yours to manage like it is here.) I have somewhat mixed feelings leaving a poor review, because this is really about management and not the instructors. But Pasadena Corepower Yoga and Greystone LLC (the building owner) have made the decision to stand by a predatory towing company, and therefore folks taking classes should be on notice. If you linger after your workout to shower or have a conversation with someone, you are putting yourself at great risk to lose your car and $530- even if you followed the validation rules parking your car. It makes no sense to me that a yoga studio of all places would nurture this kind of environment, but here we are.

I do feel that the front desk staff is always warm. When I was able to go more consistently and pick my classes, the instructor knew my name. I've taken numerous workout classes, including Lagree, so I was already familiar with the machine and many of the movements. The class itself was not very engaging and felt quite simple. There was no music, very few demonstrations, and minimal holds or challenging movements. However, the biggest issue was my experience with the instructor, Lo. When I arrived, she kindly showed me to my machine and went over the basics of the spring load and how it functions, which I appreciated. I also agreed to hands-on support when offered. Unfortunately, her attitude throughout the class felt very condescending. When I needed to be corrected, she would shout my name and say things like, "You're doing it wrong," without providing clear instructions on how to correct the movement. She also rarely came over to help adjust my posture, despite doing so for many of the other clients in the room. At one point, I asked her a simple question about my foot positioning for an exercise, and she chuckled in response, which was quite degrading.

I think whether it's worth it really depends on how you use it. If you're just using it like a normal gym, it's obviously way overpriced. But if you actually take advantage of the classes and amenities, it is worth it. The floor Pilates classes are free but the reformer classes are extra. The classes are really high quality with good instructors. For me especially because I hate packing stuff and they provide everything you need for all classes. Even for yoga, you don't have to bring anything. You just show up and they have mats, bolsters, blankets, and everything is clean and ready to go. For me personally, I use it as an escape because I can hit the steam room and take a shower sort of like a spa pass. They provide all the bath products too. I'm not a huge fan of the products themselves, they are drying kind of like hotel products,, but at least they're there, so I don't have to think about packing anything. Another thing is that it removed a lot of barriers because they provide towels, which are always clean and fluffy (and I don't have to wash). I can show up in workout clothes with a water bottle and everything else is provided. As with any gym, though, it's not worth it if you don't actually use it. It's also not a huge social scene, which might be a downside for some people but is an upside for me. I can go work out without worrying about having to talk to people or have awkward interactions around equipment. There aren't tons of people taking selfies or clogging up machines and walkways. It also doesn't get super crowded, which I think is partly because of the price point. Those are all huge pluses for me, but I'm on the more introverted side and just trying to work out, not update my social media or make new friends at the gym. I'm basically paying to remove barriers that usually prevent me from going to regular gyms, plus the classes are quality. I don't have to wait for equipment or deal with a bunch of little obstacles that make me less likely to go. They validate parking, which is another big plus. Between the parking, classes, towels, showers, and amenities, there are basically no barriers. The customer service is also really good, I've never had an unpleasant interaction on my way in or out at the front desk, so the whole experience is low stress. I used someone's referral code from here when I joined and got a gift shop credit/didn't have to pay the initiation fee. Everyone I know has been able to join without paying the invitation fee, so don't pay it, they will find a way to waive it because they want your business. I used someone else's link from reddit, but it got taken down. It got the fee waived and I got a credit, so I'm posting my link in case it helps someone else. https://equinox.com/referrals/003A000001TO5GKIA1 Bottom line is it's worth it if it actually gets you to go or you're already paying for classes somewhere else. If you're already paying for yoga classes somewhere else, that's probably close to $100 a month by itself, and you usually don't get all the extra amenities. For me, the biggest value is that it removes barriers and makes it easy and low stress so I don't avoid it. Having everything provided and not having to plan or prepare makes me much more likely to go consistently and yeah, I could save money and go somewhere else, but I wouldn't go, thus my Equinox membership.

I've been an Equinox member on and off since 2013 -- and had great experiences at SF Union, SF Pine St, NYC locations, Tyson's and Glendale -- and never again. The Pasadena Equinox deviates from Equinox's documented general corporate policies and expect you to know this despite no signs, no notification and no advance notice (mentioning to members at check-in, etc.) The women's bathroom staff were extremely rude, unevenly applying their policies to prevent people in towels from entering shower and knocking on showers mid-shower to demand people exit mid-shower and saying "it's their policy and we should know" Note no manager was on duty -- I asked to speak to someone during gym business hours and there was no one at the gym to speak to -- and my email to the GM regarding this is unanswered. I'm attaching screenshot of Equinox's corporate policy regarding this -- Pasadena is not in line with the Equinox policy, which is 15 mins before close; not 30 -- and Pasadena doesn't document this anywhere.
