Yes I am proud to be one. EBS loved that I could be if needed

What looks like an ordinary card and stationary store, turns out to be a place full of laughs and at times very politically correct (or incorrect depending on who you voted for or against). While you will find uplifting quotes and things to celebrate life's milestones, you will also find quotes that any strong, sassy woman would love to have on her refrigerator or file cabinet. Thought I could just go in for a quick look, but like that time sucking machine that Spencer's was in the last century, you will lose track of time. Just too many things to look at. I didn't even get to enjoy the wall of cards. You can never have too cards to send your family or friends. I may be dating myself, but some of us still try to keep the post office in business. Some of the stuff I have never seen anywhere but Northern Sun catalog. Some of the rest was stuff that was such dry humor that EBS would have to have bought it to just give friends. Looking forward to going back with more time.

This is a cute store for greeting cards galore, cool kids and adult toys, unique gifts for every occasion for your family and friends. This is a one stop gift and card shop. Hallmark has nothing on this place. It's special for sure. I do enjoy browsing and checking out their front window display on my nightly walks, they change periodically and it gives you a taste of what's inside too.

I don't want to say this but for you to understand that I have too. This place is such a neat little shop that is in Royal Oak. I stopped across the street at Cafe Muse waiting for a friend of mine and it was right across the street. This place has the feel with a locally-owned business flare. This place is mostly known for their amazing wedding invitations that they make one that really caught my eye was the style I had for my wedding at the roostertail when it was a Detroit themed wedding. They really had my same idea which I thought was one of a kind...It was so neat on the wall they have examples of what they can create for you. And the one that really stood out for me was you open the envelope & on the inside of the envelope stood the Detroit City skyline and that was just the envelope!. I'm sure the invitation itself would have been a spectacular sight. Now those are just examples the design and invitation gallery are all the way in the back of the store but let us not forget the front. You walk into their and there are not just cards but special cards. Cards that are handmade cards that are local cards that you won't find anywhere else and if you even check the very bottom row you'll even find cards on sale :-) So back to where I was here. I had to pick my friend up a wedding gift for her daughter I originally went there just to get a card but they had such a neat Michigan themed items in a whole wall of clearance sale items that were right up my alley. For my friend's daughter my budget was around $50 and their younger couple I was able to get some hipster stuff for their new home and some adorable wedding accessories for their house. The bride and groom absolutely loved it. I was not walking in here expecting to walk out with a wedding gift. But I was so impressed that I found I found my card there. This literally was my One Stop Shop. I even had extra money left to buy a close friend of mine a beautiful bracelet and they were more than happy to gift wrap that for me as well... this place is an amazing business and should be a staple in Royal Oak I definitely support local small businesses and this place has five stars in my Yelp review :-)

If you're sick and tired of buying the same old card for birthdays or weddings take a trip to Royal Oak's Write Impressions. This charming card store offers patrons unique options when having to find that perfect card to go with a baby gift or just a card that let's that special someone know you care. Write impressions is essentially a cooler, hipper Hallmark. They offer cards that I guarantee you won't find cluttering the racks at Hallmark. In addition, to the darling, funny, and artsy paper crafts, Write Impression offers great gifts for kids, brides-to-be, or co-workers. They sell a variety of fancy ball point pens, books, and unique jewelry. Oh, they also do special order invitations, check out their website for more info.

They don't have to buy anything and so you better kiss their behinds. Even if they don't want anything they might feel bad for you because you were so nice. 2) The prices need to be low enough to justify buying something useless. 3) You have to gave good stuff that people want, though they don't need. Also, it helps to have things that one has never seen before and thus must purchase it because they may never see it again. Well, Scout is a nice enough store. The store sells kitch, curios and art. The inside is nice and bright. There are some interesting items, but nothing that I can't live without. Also, I've seen a lot of the same items around the area. The prices were probably comparable but were still pricey. I don't think there was anything for less than $10 or I didn't find it. I give Scout 3 stars because the lady behind the counter was not very friendly or helpful. When I walked into the store she didn't acknowledge me right away or ask if I needed anything. Instead she just talked to a friend for almost the whole 15 minutes we were in there. I was the first to say hello as I entered. Eventually, she engaged us in conversation a little, but it wasn't the friendliest of conversations. Scout had some unique gift ideas and art pieces. Over all the quality stuff was very expensive. The rest could probably be purchased at other stores of a similar nature. I don't really have a reason to go back here.
