This was such a fun experience!! Good for groups and date night! Checking in was a breeze and they got us set up quickly. They give you a card to write down your top scents. We started by smelling several scents, they have 90 scents to smell - I skipped some that weren't appealing like bacon and old books LOL Be sure to grab you a bag of coffee beans to cleanse your scent palette. I don't want to spoil the process so I won't tell you everything! So just go ahead and make a reservation, the fee goes towards your reservation at the end. I'm going to wait 2 weeks before light my custom candle so that I get the best scent payout. It's worth the money. You can make a candle, room diffuser, and/or room spray. This was such a fun experience! I came here with my girlfriends to celebrate my friend's birthday. When you enter the shop, you are given a clipboard and are directed to start smelling all the fragrances...over 80!! You write down all of your favorites and then narrow it down your list to the top 4 scents you think smell best together to create your own signature candle. You can also make a reed defuser, room spray, or soap as an alternative option. Before pouring the wax and mixing your scents, you choose from their selection of jars, ranging in price around $40-60. After creating your candle and naming your scent, it takes around 90-120 minutes for it set. I think the experience could be elevated with a few things: An option to customize your candle with glitter, color of wick, color of wax, ability to select a cute label with your scent's name or create one, even a label maker would do the trick. They have some cute vessels, but I would love to see more variety in different styles, colors, and sizes. I asked the owner, Marleen what ingredients were in the fragrance oils and she couldn't really give me a complete answer other than they are not 100% essential oils but they're synthetic and safe because they don't buy them from overseas. hmmm.... With that said, I'm sure they contain toxins like phthalates and ethyl methoxycinnamates. Reputable brands of oils will clearly label their products and disclose all the components. I try to use scents, body care, and household cleaners free from toxins so this is a little concerning not knowing what chemicals are in the candle. I'm sensitive to irritants which aggravate my asthma and also give me headaches. I just wish i knew for sure what was in this magical potion of oils we mixed. This was an amazing experience coming here to make a candle! A great date night idea! We made a reservation to come in and go through this candle making experience. My wife had already come in here previously for a bachelorette party to make a candle and she had such a great experience that she wanted to come back as soon as our candle was finished. We walked in and I couldn't believe what I saw! A wall full of different candle scents, a big bar to sit at and make your candle, and just an overall cozy atmosphere to do it in. My wife explained to me how it worked but I let our candle bar expert assist me to get the full experience. We had Adeline as our candle expert. She was a lot of fun to talk to throughout and was very informative. She even helped me pick out my scent and improve on it. The pouring part to make your candle the best that it can be with the oil was really cool. The experience is roughly a half hour but we spent a lot longer enjoying our time and really smelling all of the different scents that were available. It was my first time making my own personal scented candle! The staff was friendly and helped me fix my candle scent because my nose was getting broken at one point from all the smelling I had to do. I am going to be fully transparent here.. im not sure if I just came during a bad day; but I truly didn't love my experience. I came in on a Saturday at 2pm for a reservation and the whole place was SLAMMED. And I'm talking I could barely hear the 2 people I was with and smelling scents was incredibly difficult being shoulder to shoulder with people. From the get go, we were told to smell scents and write down what we liked. The problem with this is once you smell 5+ scents you start to go nose blind and we didn't have coffee beans or anything to clean our nose. When we finally finished smelling the scents, we were sat down with one instructor who recommended variations of scents to create one. Once you find one that you like you they take it away and pour the oil inside. You can come back after I think about 90 minutes to retrieve your candle or wax melt. I'm not 100% sure the prices but I think it was $16 for the wax melts and either $30 or $40 for the candle Overall; our experience was lackluster. The amount of people in the tiny store was claustrophobic, loud, and obnoxious. We needed something to clear our nose, which should've been provided. And it honestly felt like we were being rushed the whole time because the instructor kept telling us how busy she is. For how much we're paying this was not worth it to me. The whole experience lasted about 25 minutes. I do however give it an extra star because I am obsessed with my wax melt and I think it smells amazing and last longer than my normal wax melts, but I also would hope so for $16 and 6 cubes. It's overpriced, oversold, and I wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

So parking is limited but the area has a parking garage that offers 2 free hours. You walk right into the business and the scent hits you. I walked around and it's a beautiful place surrounded by whatever you would want to add to it. I made the wax melts and body spray and that experience alone was worth it, the instructor helped with putting the options I picked together wisely and I left wanting to come back. Prices are low when you do the wax but the candles are pricey because you have to purchase the jars I know this to be a great first date or date period with whomever. And we were all able to pick out different scents to make our own individual candles. Customers can also create more than candles. There is a variety of other options to create, which as diffusers, room sprays, hand soaps, lotions and wax tarts! There are also specials that the store has, such as buy one get one 1/2 off another item. I definitely would go back to have more time to create more candles, and maybe some other items! I think this place is great for a ladies day outing, or for a date, or family get together! In continuation of my birthday celebration, I popped into this location as recommended to me by my brother. Here you are able to create a custom scent using their fragrance oils to be made into a candle. I was surprised to learn that while the candle is the most popular option that there are several other items that could be made as well. Despite it being an hour to closing the staff was very welcoming and allowed me the opportunity to begin the process of identifying fragrances that appealed to me and determine the products I desired to make. They advised that despite the hour I would be able to create my candle but would have to return to pick it up as the time remaining was not enough to allow it the properly set. All other options for products were available for take home the same day. I estimate that there were about 100 fragrances to smell, and I was provided a clipboard and pen to note my favorites amongst them. I saw a trend developing with the fruity, citrus and clean scents. Once I completed that the staff assisted me in identifying those that were complementary to one another. I used four of the fragrance oils to create my custom blends. I used one blend to create a lotion and the other for my candle. The experience overall was wonderful. I look forward to returning in a few weeks with a group to create more things. read more

It was cool to be able to hand pick your own candles by choosing the vessel, the different scents and mix those oils to create your own unique smell. We choose the simple jars as our vessels because they were buy 3 get one free at $35 each. They also have you name the candle whatever you'd like with your own label. I would definitely recommend making a reservation so you won't have to wait too long. They do have a non-refundable reservation fee but that comes off your total when you checkout. The whole experience takes about an hour and then you can normally pick up your candles 90 minutes after. This was a really fun experience! You kind of feel like a kid in a candy store with all the options for what you can make and all the scents to choose from. The ambiance is really earthy, modern, and sleek. The staff were very nice and informative. They were happy to answer all our questions and were very patient as we were first timers. We had a group so I recommend making reservations. I ended up making a room spray and still use it to this day and still love the scent every time I spray it! I took two stars off mainly for an issue with pricing and communication. When you could see the options and different sizes for what to choose from, they had both size options for room sprays and the prices listed accordingly. I opted for the smaller room spray but when it came to what the total was, I was charged the price for the larger spay. I was then told that they were out of the smaller size spray. I was totally caught off guard by this because if that was the case, I feel like they should've removed the smaller size from the display so people would not even have that as an option and know they would have to pay for the larger size or they should've told you that you'd be paying for the larger size one because they were out of the smaller size one when you told them you were choosing to make a room spray. Not cool to be caught totally off guard as a consumer expecting to pay one thing and ended up having to pay another when you've already made your custom scent. That definitely put a damper on the experience and the memory that I walk away with that would have otherwise been an awesome experience. Take away: please always be transparent and up front with your customer about the price so everyone is on the same page from the beginning and can make an informed decision about how they want to proceed. read more

Pros: the staff were extremely friendly I really like the wall of scents that you can smell before you sit down to start your candle. They have a nice variety and some really unique scents. Cons: it says the experience is about an hour but it's really 30-45 minutes. Smelling the different scents is the longest part (that's not a complaint).
