CONSUMERS BEWARE- I bought a $500.00 funeral arrangement and it started wilting in just 1 1/2 days. The mourning family took the arrangement home to hopefully brighten up and bring warmth into their home , but instead the flowers were TOTALLY dead in under 3 complete days (see photo attached) while All THE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS they brought home lasted considerably longer , as they should ! Quite obvious they made my arrangement with OLDER and POORER QUALITY FLOWERS !!! What I do recognize that mistakes can happen , but when they do any ethical company apologies and makes compensation or corrects the problem ! If you bought an appliance and it doesn't work they refund the money !!! In this case THEY DIDN'T CARE AT ALL AS THEY HAD MY MONEY !!! I am 78 years old and have NEVER WRITTEN a negative review , but in this case there handling of the situation was so HORRENDOUS that I actually felt it was my duty to protect others !!!! I am very disappointed with the level of Customer Service. I placed an order for flowers a family member who passed away. April made a commitment to deliver the order today between 8am-12pm for an extra charge of $5.99. I called to ask about the status of the order and was told at 1pm that the order was out for delivery. I called six times and was transferred to an AI agent who couldn't understand the Order number. My mother-in-law ordered flowers for my father's funeral. She was told that they were delivered (they weren't). My father was a friend of the funeral home director, he checked with the other family that was having a service there and they didn't accidentally receive the flowers. He called the other local funeral homes to make sure it wasn't sent to the wrong address (it wasn't). My mother-in-law called the florist and they said it was delivered and there wasn't anything else they could do. My mother-in-law is from a rural town in Ohio and doesn't come from a lot of money. They money she spent on the flowers is about all she can afford. Both she and my wife were embarrassed that nothing from their family was at the viewing making them look cold and heartless. I wouldn't use this shop. Go with Vivianos instead. read more

The arrangement I ordered was not what was sent and I was charged $169.00. When I called and spoke with the manager she became defensive and said that it was in the same color palette, they look NOTHING alike. She agreed to refund my money, didn't do it and I had to dispute it with my credit card. Makes me wonder what they sent for previous orders. Response: Yes, she offered a replacement and I declined. I accepted her offer of her picking up the arrangement and refunding the money. When you dispute a sale, you cannot dispute a partial amount. When I walked in it smelled great and everything was so pretty. One lady looked at me and turned her head. A young woman smiled, said hello and offered to help. They didn't have what I needed but reluctantly the woman who turned her head and didn't speak to me, offered to try and order it. Stressing I would have to pay for it up front, which was stated several times with a strange blank look on her face. Before I left I walked around to look at their scented candles and soaps. I bought a soap. While the young lady was helping me with the soap, this elderly woman who was cutting flowers was talking very loudly to her the entire time. You would think she would have the common courtesy to stop talking to her while she's helping a customer. I jumped in to ask the young woman a question and she very kindly answered. As I was walking out the elderly woman apologized to Her for talking while she was trying to help me. That was very rude and condescending. The store itself is lovely, but there are several other florists in this area that appreciate all customers, so I won't return to this one. I have a strong feeling they won't care. It's sad that poor customer service is normalized. read more

They were gorgeous. I love that Fran completely understood what we wanted. We didn't want a lot of blooms we wanted an organic very green environment and they delivered. They were on time, everything was exquisitely precise and labeled. Could not ask for more beautiful flowers. The only challenge is finding them in the store. They close at 4 so if you work and want to connect after, that's hard. And, they of course have events and are not always available on weekends. Thank you Blossoms for a beautiful day! read more

i would not even give this place 'one' star. I placed my order 10 days ago - for a funeral - and today, day of delivery, at 4:00 they called to tell me they "couldnt make it" - actually, they didnt call. I got automated chat bots that made no sense and only when i found a phone number in the "finance dept" did i find out that they "couldnt get my order done" - UGH. They offered me "$5 for the next time i came back" and no way to get the flowers to the funeral home today. At this point it was 1:00. So i called Avas down the street - WONDERFUL people, got it done for me. So grateful. Would not go back here if they were the only florist left. Not worth feeling so badly and so upset when someones funeral is bad enough. They were so unhelpful and frankly, just entirely un empathetic. read more

I have used them for several functions and they NEVER disappoint. - They have the most beautiful wedding flowers - from bouquets to centerpieces, they cannot be beat - always creative and beautiful. - As far as funeral arrangements, they certainly stand out in a crowd. - I have brought in a vase from home and they have created gorgeous arrangements. - even a basic pick-me-up bouquet is stunning. They told me yesterday that they attempted delivery by calling and knocking on my door - I said I have no missed calls and my wife and I have been here all day and no one has knocked on the door. A woman named Christina told me she didn't appreciate my insinuation that the delivery driver was lying and that "they are doing something shady" (lol...what?!!). She then said, "It's not worth the thirty dollars we'll get from Telefora to go through with the delivery, so I'm going to cancel it." Disgusting mentality. I've never experienced anything like this firsthand. If Blossoms in Birmingham thinks they are too good for Teleflora orders, I have no idea why they are contracted with them. Thanks to the reviews that came before mine (particularly Colette N's), I chose to give Blossoms a call earlier this month and was not disappointed! I sent flowers to my parents for their anniversary... after talking to a friendly staff member, I decided to go with one of their Weekly Specials, which was a Thailand Orchid mixed arrangement. It was bright and cheery and longer lasting than some of the other flower choices. (So long lasting, in fact, that my mom messaged me 20 days after receiving it, saying that it's still beautiful!) She took a picture when it arrived and it was gorgeous! Just what I was hoping for... The service on the phone was great and they emailed me a receipt upon delivery per my request as well. I'd definitely use Blossoms for flowers in the Birmingham / Bloomfield area again; I was very pleased and of course, happy to make my parents' anniversary even more special! read more

I could not believe how little Blossoms tried to right their wrong. It is prom for my kids and i went to pick up the boutonnière and corsage only to be told they did not have an order for them. Hmmm well you need to check your system not only do you have an order i paid in FULL. Sure enough there it was but they said they didn't print it so it was not made. They asked if I could stick around for 30+ minutes. How about we can deliver to you or when i got back there how about here are some flowers for your inconvenience and our mistake. Went to Blossoms to get a quote for flowers for my wedding. Prior to this I went to another florist but were a little expensive so I decided to check out other places. When I went to blossoms for my appointment the consultant was not helpful in helping me figure out something nice for my wedding. I asked her to show me some flowers she said " Theres tons of flowers we will be here all night and I have other clients." She was politely rude and basically wanted me to run her down everything I wanted but this is my FIRST wedding and needed guidance. I got a quote for blossoms flowers which were $1300 cheaper than the first place I went to. My fiance purchased me a vase of gorgeous flowers to give me on my first day at my new job. It was a lovely display. When I arrived at work the next day, the roses had all opened completely, were beginning to brown, and the hydrangea was completely dead. It was so strange because the arrangement was perfection the evening before. So, I took the arrangement into Blossoms to show them what had happened overnight. I received immediate apologies and my arrangement was whisked away to the back room to be freshened up. This is the exact definition of great customer service, as well as pride in one's work. Even though the odds were that these flowers wilted due to a draft, or the extremely cold winter we have had, Blossoms still made it right, and gave me a fresh bouquet with no questions asked. This was my second trip to Blossoms and I just stopped in for a last minute Easter arrangement. Each time I was greeted and received great service. During the second visit, I didn't see anything "ready to go" that I was looking for but happened to be talking to a customer picking up her arrangement and it looked amazing. The staff was gracious enough to duplicate a similar arrangement for me right on the spot. I was very thankful I didn't have to return later to get it. The shop is pricey but oh the arrangement designs and quality are so worth it. read more

I cannot say enough about how impressed I was by the customer service provided to me last Saturday. I called at 4:00 pm with a request to have flowers delivered that afternoon/evening. Overrated. I had such a negative experience here and even though it was YEARS ago, I am compelled to share the experience on this forum. I was sent by my mother to get a bouquet to be delivered to her boss, the director of a child care center in the area. The bouquet was on the occasion of the birth of the director's first child and was to be from all the employees. So I had the responsibility of ensuring that the arrangement and delivery were just right. My complaint about Blossoms is about the staff. It took an awfully long time to be acknowledged after I entered the store. The employee who finally sashayed over had been feigning busywork while keeping me waiting. His greeting was affected and false. His audible sigh and the eyebrow raised in irritation at my presence did not bode well, but I had an assignment to get flowers from this place so I forged ahead and explained what I needed. This employee could not make any useful suggestions and showed me flowers that did not fit in with what I needed and when I asked for gypsophila to be used in the arrangement, his facade dropped as he responded with a slack-jawed "huh"? I repeated, "Would you please use some gypsophila paniculata in the arrangement?" Still nothing. When I gave him the common name for the flower, he recovered his exhaustingly disdainful affect and huffed, "we don't have baby's breath here." (What he also apparently didn't have was much knowledge of horticulture or floriculture. Or manners.) And yet his apparent attempt to gain a sense of self by feeling superior to a plant made me think, "Aw, you poor thing..." I managed to place the order without a whole lot of confidence that the director would be getting a bouquet that measured up to the image people had of this place. But what formed the kernel and the theme of my experience at Blossoms was this person's sustained breach of courtesy, unwarranted and without any trigger on the part of the customer. I find it a stretch to imagine that an employer would be clueless to such egregious employee behavior. Deliberately ignoring a customer is, no discussion possible, grounds for dismissal. This type of attitude manifests itself at the employee's interview; to go ahead with hiring demonstrates the proprietor's true attitude towards customers (no matter how well any customer thinks she is being treated.) Oh, and it's all just too expensive for what you get! My conclusion: "Blossoms"? Better: "Forgotten" Hope this has been helpful. Ciao amici, e alla prossima! Your description of your current staff does conjure up a wonderful atmosphere; nevertheless it only takes one atrocious employee and a policy of contempt to sour a customer on ever going to Blossoms again. The Best in town! They have the most unique arrangements. They have a display of all the arrangements with prices on them in their show room and on line. I also love their fake flowers. I went in with my vases and my vision and they were able to create something that looked like it came out of a design magazine. I have 4 things that were created by them in my house. I get a ton of compliments and no one can believe that they are not real. They are expensive but you pay for quality. Would recommend it 100% to anyone who wants the best. read more
