Beautiful flowers but expensive. Dena tried to charge me twice as much as arrangements that were in their refrigerator for tables at our wedding. She told me it's due to Mothers Day (9 days after our wedding) and tariffs. Really? You get your flowers from China? read more

Amazing service!!! They always do beautiful flower arrangements for great prices. Just had another party and used them again. The flowers last a long time so you can enjoy them for over a week or longer after your event. There plants are pretty as well with a wide variety. I've been going to this florist for over 30 years and won't go anywhere else. read more

Sometime I forget about going to the "mom & pop" shops of old, because sometimes I let convenience make choices for me I normally would not. Today I made a small step towards rectifying that. I stopped in to Affordable Flowers in Birmingham for a friend today, and I was so happy that I did. I've ordered flowers online for over a decade now, and I'd forgotten how nice it is to have a cheerful person put an arrangement together for you. How their knowledge of what you are purchasing can sway your purchasing decision(s), and how wonderful a quaint shop like AF can be. AF is a family owned flower shop, with stuffed animals, vases, pedestals, and other items for you to purchase outside of the wonderfully fresh and vibrant flowers they have on display for purchase. Not only that, but they deliver as well. The lady helping me put together a fantastically beautiful arrangement of roses while I watched others in back similarly construct other glorious perennial arrangements. Yes, ordering online can save some time, but when you really want to ensure that your arrangements are handled with care, using only the freshest blossoms in Metro-Detroit, then you need to come down to Affordable Flowers. It is time well spent. read more

Absolutely the best flower shop around! thank you for making my elderly Mother in Law feel loved and remembered in a time where she has been 'shut in' for months. She loved the Christmas centerpiece. Gushing how much it meant to her to be remembered and how pretty and fresh smelling the arrangement was. The staff took my very vague order, and put into flowers what I was hoping to send. Love, Hope, and Christmas Spirit! It was delivered next day with no issues, even though she lives in a senior community center. Thank you for truly going over and beyond what I could have hoped for. read more

Affordable Flowers is a misleading business name. At $90 for two dozen red roses, Price Gouging Desperate Suckers Flowers is more appropriate. They get an extra star for friendly service though. read more

Great service at a great price. I've consistently been happy with them except for one time I asked for colorful arrangement and they gave me all white flowers. My spouse was still happy with the flowers though so no big deal. They always delivered the flowers on time with friendly delivery people. Great business that I will continue to purchase from. read more

I used affordable flowers for My daughters wedding and can't begin to express how perfect everything came out and how easy they were to work with! The beauty of their flowers blew me away! I had shown a couple photos of what I liked, but they took it a step further and built a dream room with the most stunning centerpieces I could have ever dreamed of! I recommend them to anyone planning an event! read more

Louise was a joy to work with; I went in with vague ideas and a few colors and she truly created the most perfect bouquets/bridal party items. Pricing was right in line with what is typical, and was clearly explained and broken down; I'm sure the pricing would have been lower but we did have a few pricier varieties included in our arrangements. I went in just 3-4 weeks before the wedding, and it was no problem/they took care of everything. After giving me a copy of the detailed quote/item by item description at our initial meeting, there was no pressure to put down a deposit or decide on the spot, which was nice. I would definitely recommend for bridal party flowers (we created our own centerpieces so I can't speak to that), you only need to speak to Louise to realize her joy and passion for creating arrangements. read more

Affordable Flowers - Bridal bouquet looking just a beautiful the day after the wedding! - Florists Near Me - Birmingham, Michigan

Extremely rude. Driver completely ignores instructions and staff refuses to acknowledge any complaints. I've never been hung up on before when reporting a problem, no vulgar language was used. They were just tired of listening to me explain how the apartment door was working fine you just need to put the code in the keypad, which was in the delivery instructions. Worst florist in the area. read more

We were very happy to have our special "Thank You" arrangement arrive on the same day we ordered it. Affordable Flowers stands by the quality of their work! While working with staff to make certain the flowers were as ordered, we were truly pleased with the results! We are confident that Affordable Flowers is our floral shop of choice. Thank You to John for attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to meet our needs! read more

Affordable Flowers??? I would say they are EXTREMELY overpriced and the service is questionable. I placed an order online on 8/23/20 for a "Deluxe" bouquet, plus a balloon, to be delivered to my wife as a surprise on 8/27/20, which was our 5th wedding anniversary. Total was $93.00, including delivery charge. Well, first, they delivered it on the wrong date (8/26/20). Second, they sent a basic, sickly, looking bouquet with one of the roses damaged. Then, to top it off, they forgot to include the balloon that I purchased. When I called to let them know they screwed up my order and, thus, the surprise for my wife, the lady offered to deliver an additional 1/2 dozen roses and the missing balloon, along with a tepid apology. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years, but will not be using them anymore. I can go to the local supermarket and get a much nicer bouquet for 1/5 the price, no enormous delivery charge, and zero mistakes. read more

The staff and owner are very helpful and accommodating. Of course the floral arrangements by Carol K. are beyond beautiful. She has put together so many gorgeous arrangements for myself as well as extended family that she is always our go to designer. Horrible, horrible, horrible service!!! My cousin recently passed away and I was asking what sounded like a middle aged woman if I could get flowers delivered tomorrow to my aunt who just lost her daughter.. This lady not only rushed me, but was extremely rude!! Her tone was horrible, and whatever type of customer service she offered was absolutely ridiculous!! I would never recommend that shop to anyone, I did not get her name, but that lady should be fired. I am giving one star because I have to, otherwise what I just experienced from the lady that works for affordable flowers deserves a big zero. Absolutely unacceptable!! read more

Affordable flowers just did all my centerpiece and flowers for my wedding last night. I knew they were going to be just beautiful. When I walked into the hall I had to hold back tears because they were the most gorgeous flowers I had ever saw. I had so many people just coming up to me asking me who did my flowers. If you are looking for flowers that people will remember go to affordable flowers. The whole staff is wonderful. Tammy has the best eye for detail and is amazing. read more

My son who lives in CA. sent a very large arrangement of cut flowers for Mother's Day. This was not a last minute order. The flowers arrived on Friday, Saturday they were already drooping! (tulips, hydrangeas even the greenery which was very plentiful was turning yellow) there was more greenery than flowers. The whole arrangement looked really sick. I would never recommend this place read more

Affordable Flowers did my wedding!! Let me just say, that not only were the flowers everything I wanted, the staff was amazing too. The staff and owner helped me make sure I didn't forget a thing. If I could give them negative stars I would! I ordered a flower arrangement online from this shop and paid for the "premium" arrangement and as u can see from the pic I posted it is not even close what I ordered! The arrangement they sent lacks everything the arrangement that I purchased online has EVEN the VASE is generic!! I understand that the inventory in the shop may differ from what is available but the quality of the work, the esthetic and quantity of flowers versus green filler should NOT especially since I paid the extra cost for a "premium" arrangement!!!! I called them after my friend sent me a photo of herself next to the AWFUL arrangement they delivered and of course I was FURIOUS, I called the shop and I had to argue with two grown women that work there about the appalling arrangement, they both continued to argue and make excuses for the sorry excuse of flower arrangement that was sent out from their shop. What I ordered VS what my friend received isn't even SIMILAR just look at the photo and instead of arguing with paying customers do the right thing!! read more

Do you like overpaying for things? Do you want to be insulted or manipulated into wasting your money? Then this is the florist for you. Only poor negotiators would fall for these tricks. The florist refused to explain the costing, and then tried to close the sale by insulting the classiness of my wedding. Does any good sales person believe that their customer's self esteem could be determined by a desperate florist trying to overcharge them for some bouquets? Don't waste your time. read more

This business is a scam and should rename themselves "unaffordable flowers". I live in the area and usually get my flowers from Tiffany Florist or Blossoms. Regretfully, I decided to give Affordable Flowers a try today. I walked in to put my own arrangement together, I had even brought my own vase. I've done this at Tiffany's and Blossoms many times and am always pleased with the quality, service and price. I picked an average assortment of flowers, all my stems were around $1.50-$3.50. When I got to the register, I was told my total was $90 something. I was appalled at the high price and was told that it was so high because there was a "Service Fee" for the arrangement and for putting the flowers in a vase. I asked how much this so called service fee was. The lady told me it was about 20% of the total for my flowers. When I told the lady I no longer wanted that and I'd arrange them myself, my total went down to $56. Sounds like more of a 90% service fee. Seems like someone did not know how to do their math or just wanted to rip me off. A few minutes after I got home my flowers were already wilting. This place is a joke and I will never give them my business again. Please take your business to Tiffany Florist or Blossoms right down the street! read more

I found this florist on Yelp. After checking their location and reading the reviews, I gave them a call. I do not live in the area and needed a spray for a funeral. This florist was so amazing!! They listened carefully to the details of a difficult family situation and what I wanted. I arrived at the service and discovered the mist beautiful arrangement!!! I sent my Grandma and my stepmom arrangements from this company on Valentine's Day. Both were delivered around 10am! Perfect timing, AMAZING prices for the quality of the flowers they received. I would absolutely use this company again, I am so blown away by the quality and promptness of the company. Thank you so much Affordable Flowers ! You did NOT disappoint! read more

Is it possible to have a zero star rating? I have only written one other Yelp review, and it was a very positive, appreciative one. This review is not positive...I am detailing it here in hopes of alerting unsuspecting customers to the small but aggravating and still-unresolved issues with Affordable Flowers in Tacoma, WA. The only bouquet I ever ordered from Affordable Flowers (in Aug 2018) was 30% more expensive than I requested and the result was a tiny arrangement of the wrong color (and hue was the most crucial part of my flower order). I let it go because I had ordered the flowers over the phone (living outside of and far from Tacoma) and wanted to give Chris the benefit of the doubt... The flowers were for a terminally ill family member. (The day I made my order, I ensured that my account had been charged for that flower arrangement.) Then, three months later and totally out of the blue, I noticed a $50 charge from Affordable Flowers suddenly show up on my card. (Thank god I'm fastidious about checking my account charges!) When I called to inquire about why the mistaken charge had occurred and to receive a refund, Chris told me that "this has happened before" (her customers being charged for things they didn't order) and something about glitches in "her system." I asked her if she would figure out how to take care of it, to credit my card. She did not express regret or apologize for what had happened; in fact, she acted put out about having to correct the error. Her tone was brusque throughout the call and she kept cutting me off in the middle of sentences. When several days had passed and there was no credit to my account, I called again. Chris said she'd take care of it. More days passed with no credit. I called again. Chris (again, unapologetically, brusquely, interrupting and cutting me off) said there was some "button" she had to push to make the correction and that she would call me back "immediately." After waiting thirty minutes I called back and she said she was "just going to call" and had successfully finished making the correction that would credit the money (that never should've been taken from me) back to my account. A day later I received an email from PayPal saying that they had tried to process the credit for me but that Chris' bank "declined payment." I called Chris again (five times for her error?). She did not answer the phone so I left a message notifying her of PayPal's email about her bank's nonpayment. In all of my communications with Chris I was exceedingly polite, patient, calm, and kind. Weeks have now passed and I have never heard back from Chris, nor did she ever follow through with crediting my card for the $50 she took. I'm a small business owner myself and I cannot imagine ever behaving with such indifference and unwillingness/inability to rectify a payment error. I share all of these details so that other potential customers can see the pattern of inaction toward correcting an error and hopefully be spared the inconvenience, stress, and expense associated with using Affordable Flowers of Tacoma, WA. Rating: strongly do NOT recommend. read more

I highly recommend this florist! Neil was very professional and gracious! Here is my story: We were hosting a dinner party for 25 at the Dearborn Inn last weekend. I wanted to bring floral arrangements in my own vases for the private room to make it more personal (the dinner was to mark the 20th anniversary of my Father's death, but was to be a celebration of his life). On Friday night, I purchased five arrangements of flowers from Affordable Flower's Royal Oak location, but we awoke Saturday morning to drooping nearly dead white Hydrangeas! I quickly called and Neil answered. He instructed me to bring all arrangement to him and he would "make it right". Well he did more than that - he literally recreated all five arrangements, replacing not only the drooping Hydrangeas, but all of the flowers and did not ask me to pay another penny! We were amazed by and so grateful for this! Neil's arrangements were gorgeous and all of our guests really appreciated the beauty they added to our event. One week later, the arrangements are still going strong. I will definitely be returning to the AF Birmingham location and asking for Neil! :) read more
