I called this florist because I needed a custom arrangement to welcome a baby boy. I called them around 9am on a Thursday morning, told the lady my budget, and she was very accommodating. I told her what I wanted - white roses & blue hydrangea. She suggested to add another blue flower which is popular for baby boys. I scheduled a pick up time at 5p that day, and I picked up my arrangement at 5.30p. Sure enough the arrangement was ready and set in a vase (per my request) and also boxed up perfectly, with tissue, cellophane wrap and a ribbon bow. The arrangement was BEAUTIFUL and exactly what I envisioned when I called that morning. The flowers were fresh and they smelled incredible. The blue hydrangea was gorgeous! Came here after have a 'discussion' with the florist at Nino's. Let's just say don't sell me flowers that are 'Fuchsia' as Burgundy just because you want me to buy it. Not going to work. Lol. I was looking for flowers for a guy so I wanted a neutral palette. Accent did not disappoint. They have most of their flower arrangements inside the cooled glass, and it didn't seem like they wanted people going in through there. Fair enough as everything is clearly visible from the outside. Reasonably priced. Some items had specials as well. Picked out a premade vase (with some help from the manager) and she packaged it beautifully for the ride home. 2 weeks later and the flowers are still going strong. I purchased balloons from Party City and I called BEFORE driving to this florist, and asked about prices for 6 latex balloons. The woman on the phone told me she'd have to check the price book and would be right back on the line. Eventually she came back with $1.75. And I repeated the price and asked her if she was certain that was the price and she reassured me. I drove over there, and upon my arrival - balloons in hand, she changes her mind and tells me that it's PER balloon. At this point, I have no other choice but to continue with the purchase. She was then AFRAID to blow the balloons up, because she didn't want them to pop...... I tried to make small talk with both her and an older woman who had obviously been there longer, but both of them spoke as though they would rather be anywhere but in a floral shop helping customers. The challenge of finding a florist in an unfamiliar area sent me to Yelp and the reviews of Accent Florist easily led me to make the call. I spoke to a person who was efficient yet friendly in that Michigan way that I've missed since leaving there. My call was in the afternoon past the deliveries but delivery was promised for the next day. An unusual aspect of the delivery was that it was to a guest at a hotel in Rochester but that was handled smoothly. The flowers arrived quite timely and my wife was delighted. Chances of repeat business is quite small as the entire situation was a one-off, but if I ever need flowers in that area I'd go straight back to Accent. read more

I like making my own bouquets, so this was annoying and will possibly deter me from going back, however, Shannon ended up helping me and was truly kind and understood my frustration. I went to their website and descibed what I wanted and the price was right. I felt the price was on par for other florists. Within a 10-20 mile radius (I believe) its $9.99 for delivery Awesome! Accent Florist has an absolutely beautiful store. They always have an incredible variety of cut flowers and arrangements in their enormous cooler (the biggest floral cooler I've ever seen!), in addition to a great selection of plants, dish gardens, terrariums, vases, balloons, stuffed animals, greeting cards, and just about anything you can think of. Whenever I have gone there, the staff has been wonderfully helpful and friendly, and always ready to help me pick out just the right thing. I've also been to their other affiliated location, Della's Maple Lane (also in Troy) and had the same experience. My review is 2-fold. I ordered flowers to be delivered on Valentines day to my mother. I ordered them over 48 hours in advanced. This was important because I lost my father this year and he sent her flowers every year on Valentines day. After spending $120 for this they delivered them on the 13th. After calling and complaining they said they would look into refunding the cost for me. 2 days later they called back to tell me they would refund $14 of the delivery charge. That obviously was an awful way to say sorry to a long standing customer. It meant more than money to have them delivered on time. I have ordered many flowers in the past through them. I will say Susan was helpful but I believe management was the one not willing to help me out. I will never use them again because of this. I will say the flowers themselves were beautiful though to be fair. Also let me note..if they called back to refund me I was going to request they send a bouquet of flowers to a random person at a local children's hospital instead of giving me my money back.
