I found them a few weeks ago when I did a search of stores who actually sell loose leaf tea. The reason I like loose leaf tea versus the garbage sold in the stores is because it comes out way more flavorful, stronger and seems to taste a lot better than the stuff they sell at the grocery. I am also shocked that nobody else has been here before, as I know a few tea drinker who also happen to be active yelpers. Interesting. Anyway, the place is easy to find and right off fourth street and visible from the road. There is street parking, but a parking garage is literally right there on the other side of the street if you need it. As you know, downtown Rochester can get busy at times, so easy places to park is important. Walking in, not only is this place a tea store, but it also sells spices. They also have a ton of cool accessories to choose from throughout, which was really super cool to look at. I've also been on the hunt for the individual honey sticks that seem to be hard to find. Not only do they have the honey sticks, but they came in a variety of flavors? Like flavored honey? Exciting! I just grabbed a packet of regular honey sticks which are sitting in my kitchen now. The spice area has a much larger selection of items, from different varieties of salt, but other seasonings as well. I didn't really study the selection as the place was busy but let me tell you, there's a lot! I went to the tea section and they have all sorts of teas to choose from. I wanted something more citrus/lemon/herbal since I have a sinus infection, but I also wanted to see what else they have. Great selection, pre bagged but make sure you have the steeper's at home. If not, they sell them here too. Service was great, and the staff was knowledgeable. Nobody asked me if I needed help or followed me around the store, but when I did talk to them at check out, these people really seem to be tea oriented and educated on the product. While they aren't cheap by any stretch of the imagination (more along the lines of Starbucks pricing) they are worth every penny. I will be back in the future and I wish they did a better job of advertising!

I can buy lighter candles, lotions, soaps, and hand sanitizers. They have all kinds of scents. So many yummy ones too. I didn't have much time or money on me because I have work today. Interesting beginning to the story you say? It is.... please read on. My girlfriend gave me a gift card a while back to Yankee Candle and although I love BBW candles, I was intrigued by a candle my girlfriend included in her gift. Long story short, I had a $25 gc and it was burning a hole in my pocket.... er, pursue. Upon arrival to the store, I was super stoked by the halloween selection already available! Hubby and I had to smell tons of candles and check out all the goods. After much discussion, we finally decided on a quirky resin pumpkin. When we were checking out, I swiped my gift card. ... only to find nothing from the card came off the bill. I handed the cashier my gift card that has never been used.... she swiped it a couple times and she said the account was closed- super unfortunate considering there should have been $25 on the card. No need to worry the cashier or cause a stink, I thanked her but left the store with nothing in hand. Subsequently, I called the number on the back of the card and they also told me the account was closed. So, I ended up emailing Yankee Candle (I will post my email soon) and ultimately, they were not any help AND they are rather insulting. They only told me to call the store. After a couple of calls to the store, they confirmed it was a system glitch and offered for me to come back to the store (don't worry it is about an hour away) and pick up my merchandise. The store was helpful and accommodating but based on the horrible customer service from corporate, I won't be back. My go to store will be Bath and Body Works again.....

Another time I took part of the faucet I needed some kind of adapter for and explained what I needed to do, and they immediately went to the next room and got just what I needed. (I'm someone with decent mechanical sense, but not that much experience or knowledge.) Wayyyyy better than going to a bigger store and try to figure things out myself. The time and frustration saved is worth any slight increase in cost...but it even seems like the prices are very competitive. Another time they could not get me a part (I had to contact the manufacturer)--but they gave excellent advice, in a patient, knowledgeable way.
