In some 60+ years of watching Chicago baseball, I came to this park for the very first time that I can recall with the Sox in 1st place, woot woot! How do I rate the Chicago White Sox? I'll first have to admit that I'm basically a fair weather Chicago fan and only pay attention and support the team if it's winning and in the race. So, I'll just say the Sox are nice to have around, and having 2 Chicago teams is better than having 1, but they will admittedly always be in the shadow of the Cubs. In my lifetime, the Cubs have been winners more often than the Sox. But beyond that, Sox management has never really invested in star talent nor fan appeal around their park. Even when they are winning, they never have a true sellout crowd. Having said that, the Sox are nice to have around because if I want to see a Major League game, good tickets are always readily available and reasonably priced to see the team and whomever they're playing. Rate Field is also ok as a major league venue and they have outstanding food options to boot. I just bought 7 tickets for a family weekend outing at Rate Field and only paid $29 per ticket on StubHub for right field upper deck section 522, row 3. You can hardly get 7 seats together at Wrigley Field on a weekend and it would have cost at least $100 per ticket as well. The Sox are winning these days, and this year they have 3 players making the 2026 AL All-Star team, namely 1B Munetaka Murakami, 3B Miguel Vargas, and CF Tristan Peters. They're the big surprise team in the Majors this year, and I really don't know how they did it after losing a record breaking 121 games in 2024 and 102 games in 2025. On this Sunday, 7-12-2026, they handily beat the Oakland A's 9-1 and completed a 3 game sweep. Go White Sox, and best of luck for the rest of the season!

Its been ages since I've last visited the White Sox stadium, now Rate Field. There have been a…read morenumber of upgrades over the years and the improvements are all for the better. For one, food and drink have stepped up a lot. My cousin and I came to see the White Sox destroy the Oakland A's 14-1. A lopsided win for sure but a win nonetheless. A third of the time we walked the grounds, drank, people watched and checked out the shops. We walked past one of the lots, can't remember if it was lot G, but plenty of folks were there spending the entire day tailgating. It's pretty common and if you are able to land a spot in the lot, it's probably one of the best things you can do. We drove in but parked at the ITT lot because all the nearby lots close to 35th street dogs required prepaid coupon. The walk from ITT isin't that bad. It's like 5 minutes. We came on a clear night where they had the fireworks show post-game. I had a nice time and visiting Rate Field to watch the Sox play is one for the summer bucket list in Chicago.

There is easy water refilling stations throughout the concourse which made our visit on a hot day easy. The food options are tremendous as well. I can see why RF has a great reputation for food. The actual field and board are also great. I am really happy I visited with my kid. I only wish I could visit more.

After we got a stuffie my daughter agreed to go to the 12th floor. The 12 floor had different air up there like #23.... The 12 floor restored my faith with my daughter Adrian (named after #94) and her cousin Madisen showed me family IS the best medicine... Diego Chahda was our contact, and a prince. He helped us with ticket distribution, decorations, flowers, food, the whole deal. He set up the entire room (perfectly) based on our specs, and escorted us around the ballpark before opening pitch. Andrea at Levy catering made sure we had the perfect food and beverage package. She and her staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was special. From set-up to take-down, the entire Fannie May Bleacher Sweet staff was professional, fast, and slightly adorable. The large, long Fannie May Sweet is in the center of the ballpark bleachers. The room is temperature controlled, has private bathrooms, huge windows, access to the bleachers, and a view that can't be beat. The Bleacher Sweet was perfect for our private party - our guests will be talking about it (and the Cubs' Championship Season) for years.

First the team here is so amazing and friendly, we were given complimentary drinks and a buffet of hotdogs and pretzels and popcorn, I took a couple of plastic cups as souvenirs. Everyone was so accommodating, one of the signature drinks for the book release had rum and I asked to switch it with tequila and there were no issues. I don't know how I could ever go to another baseball game and not think of being at 1914 Club, such a cool experience, also their bathrooms are top notch fancy.
