Caught a Tuesday 6:40 game and arrived at 6:10, early enough to grab seats and food before the mad rush. The MLB app's condensed menu options made ordering quick and convenient for orders delivered to your seat but doesn't offer full access to all menu items. So I'd definitely recommend eating before peak innings if you're looking for more than a hotdog. Food variety is solid across the stadium. The ballpark itself is the real draw: iconic field, great sightlines, and that nostalgic vibe you can't replicate anywhere else. If you're planning a visit, aim for a weekday game and get there 30+ minutes early.
Love getting to a game at Wrigley at least once a year. Love the old school classic baseball vibes. I'm from Green Bay and a big Packer fan, and all I can explain is wrigley gives the Lambeau vibes of baseball. Great seats, the 200 levels can have some obstruction. Bleachers are fun if you want a rowdy crowd. And the Chicago dogs are a must! Make sure you make your way to the full condiment station so you can really load 'er up!
It was super easy to get into the park. My family arrived about 20 min before the Cubs vs Astros game started and were able to enter from the right field entry in about 2 minutes. Security was a breeze. Walking to our seats took about 10 min since it was a tight squeeze. Perhaps if we had gone through the main entrance it would have been closer to our seats but maybe the line would have been longer. I thought our seats had a good view in sec 215 and it was shaded in case of inclement weather. Fans were cordial. The food vendors came right to our section to sell their wares. I like how I was able to get a first time button and a certificate for my entire family of four which was a freebie that made our first trip here super special! The snacks were a system where you prepaid with your credit card-Apple pay, then they hold $35, then you take what you want and as you are leaving a camera picks up your items and you get billed on your Apple Pay about 10 min later. So new Amazon technology. I had to get the staff to explain each step because it was so different than any other ball park or stadium I have been too. We even got pictures with the World Series trophy from the early 1800's. Almost 200 years old. The CTA Red line is super close walk to Wrigley and we left the game early and it was still crowded in the trains. But for $2.50 to get back to the hotel, it was affordable and convenient. I would definitely recommend coming to this historic park. I love all the traditions and American values of baseball as well as how the sport is embraced by athletes around the world playing for the Cubs!
First time to Wrigley Field! Have been to several games at Fenway Park and I had heard incredible things about this historic stadium. One of the highlights as someone who is not a huge sports fan was that they had plant based hot dogs!! I finally got to experience eating a hot dog at a baseball stadium and it was perfect. It was very cool to see the Cubs fans singing along and cheering excitedly - not at all fazed by the cold Chicago spring weather!
Finally had a chance to visit Wrigley Field (I missed it last time I was in the Windy City). Classic Americana baseball vibe. Took the El train (going around those corners...whew!) to Wrigleyville. All the pre-game hoopla, hot summer afternoon...it all contributed to this sense that you were part of sports history. Same feel as Fenway (historic), but different (city) lol. Not to be missed - Chicago dog (check out that green relish!), and Garrett's popcorn. Great tourist option for sports fans.
Went to Wrigley Field for a Cubs vs. Tampa Bay Rays game on a warm afternoon. The Cubs came out on top 6-4, which had the whole place buzzing. Sat in the 400 section, very last row. The view was better than expected, with the field clear and the skyline stretching out behind. The atmosphere was classic Wrigley, lively, loud, and full of energy. Picked up an Italian beef sandwich during the game. It was messy in the best way, full of flavor and a solid option for ballpark food. Service lines moved quickly, which made it easy to grab and get back to the action. it was one of those games that reminded me why Wrigley is such a special stadium.
My son and I recently took a trip to Chicago and was looking forward see the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. We have heard so much stuff about Wrigley Field and the history of it being the second oldest baseball stadium for all of major baseball. I really enjoyed this stadium. I thought it was pretty neat that they still change the score on the scoreboard by and changing the numbers from inside the scoreboard building. The stadium was very well maintained and they even have a first-timer spot inside of the stadium where you can go to get a certificate stating you're a first-timer and they have the World Series trophy on display where you can get your picture taken for free. Outside the stadium they have Wrigleyville where they have some of the legends of the Chicago Cubs statues where you can walk around and view them and take pictures. Also they have Ivy along the perimeter of the back of the stadium that is very neat and it's live Ivy as well which you don't see in other stadiums it's a good old-fashioned baseball park but well maintained for the present time.
Not sure how Wrigley could be rated below a 5. Beautifully renovated since I went to games decades ago and so much history and character. Wide concourses and everything clean and accessible, which is almost unheard of in a stadium over a century old. We attended a guided tour and it was wonderful. Our guide was lively and knowledgeable and the info shared was unique. Since we toured on a non-game day, we were able to go to spots that are not included on game day tours. We sat in the bleachers, took photos with an outfield ivy, went to the press box, and even got to sit in the away team dugout. There was 10% off in the team store and various shops and restaurants in the area if you show you attended a tour. Highly recommend both the tour and, of course, attending a game to cheer on those Cubbies!
An icon of Chicago's sports history [Chicago IL] The Wrigley Field was one of the permanent exhibits at the Chicago Architecture Center at the Loop. It had a cool model of the stadium on display. The legacy of this national historic landmark was impressive and we wanted to see it in person hoping to explore its architectural legacy. Before heading out of Chicago on Saturday we stopped by the stadium. We arrived around 9:30a. After a few trips around the block we got lucky and found parking close by, just outside the Wrigleyville Sports shop. The Cubs were actually playing that day against the Cardinals. We didn't realize game time was at 1:00p and lots of people were already heading inside. There were some activities happening at Gallagher Way and we just walked inside like it was nobody's business not realizing that the space was open only to ticket holders on game day ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ we took some photos around including some statues of their all time all-stars. Eventually, they closed the area and we were kindly asked to leave. We walked around the perimeter of the stadium and noticed that on Waverly Avenue they had rooftop bleachers! Bring your baseball gloves 'coz you could catch a home run ball! We took photos in front of the iconic red art-deco marquee at the front of the building. I've never attended a baseball game before but it was pretty cool seeing this legendary home of the Chicago Cubs, one of the oldest and most cherished baseball venues in the U.S. and with over a hundred years of history we couldn't pass up not seeing at least the outside of it. Such an incredible experience watching the Cubs for the first time in Wrigley Field and to see them beat the Padres to advance. Wrigley is iconic and also easy to navigate.. Even with the Standing Room ticket we had prime viewing spot to watch the action. Best of all, we happened to be next to Operations at one point, and the lady asked if we wanted to see the Cubs World Series ring. THAT was such an incredible moment to see that!
I included American Family Field in Milwaukee in my current alphabet series representing the letter A. I decided to write reviews the next day (today) on Guaranteed Rate Field (now simply Rate Field) & Wrigley Field. In September 2021, on Chicago/Wisconsin, we went to see White Sox on Wednesday, 9/1/21, Cubs on Thursday on Thursday, 9/2, & Brewers on Friday, 9/3. See my 5-star review of American Family Field written yesterday, 10/1 & 4-star of Rate Field written today, 10/2. In terms of the neighborhood, I liked Wrigleyville by far the best of the 3 ballparks. White Sox was pretty isolated as was Brewers. I did like that Wrigley Field is right in the middle of a bunch of restaurants, bars, & shops, and it's just part of the neighborhood, and I appreciate the historical significance of the ballpark. While I had a fun time here, I felt cramped sitting way back on a lower level. I don't like more seats are directly above. I like looking out to the sky or roof, which most ballparks you can do that no matter what section you're in. It wasn't a great vantage point of the ballpark itself either. I did like the old classic organ though.

We had the best time at the Green Day concert! They had a great local band doing original songs as well as covers just inside the entrance before gates opened. So we basically had live music from like 4 until 11, crazy! Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. They pointed us towards our seats on the field. We weren't super close, but much closer than those in the seats and bleachers. The food and soda was great, but very expensive. We got souvenir cups, but you still had to pay full price for a refill. Cons - Parking in the Toyota Camry lot was $80! They had golf cart shuttles to the field entrance which was nice, but yeah... 80 bucks! Overall a great time, but after tickets, parking, and food/drink we had spent way more than we should have, in my opinion. But the bands were all great, and we have awesome memories. That said, we would see another concert or a game here. It's an iconic place that provides a great experience. read more

How do you give a "rating" to an historical institution? Not sure...but I'll give my thoughts anyway. They have done the difficult task of "updating" a vintage location, and, have done it well. It was easy to get in with the super security scanners. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Getting my Chicago Dog was a great mesh of high tech and no tech. After paying for the dog with the cool scanner machine, I was able to dress up the dog appropriately with all the fixings available. The fanbase here is loyal and enthusiastic, but also friendly and well-mannered. A great experience all around. read more
Pretty amazing views. Wrigley Rooftops! This is an experience you definitely should explore. Kid-friendly environment. Unlimited food and non alcoholic drinks. Food was GRRREAT! Brats, Italian beef's, hamburgers, brats, nachos just to name a few things. Have a sweet tooth?, don't worry Wrigleys field take care of the cravings with cookies brownies and ice cream. Wrigley Field is a great ballpark. It is over 100 years old and located on the north side of Chicago. I attended the game on July 4th between the Cubs and the Phillies. The Cubs snapped a two game losing streak and won the last game of the series. The venue is very easy to access. I took the red line from downtown and my day pass was $5. Because the stadium is small, with regards to capacity, you are faced with a supply/demand proposition. They do have SRO (standing room only) but I wanted to sit so my seat was $85, which is pretty steep for a team in last place of their division. Concessions are good. But..........most of the concession stands are located on the field level so at best you might find some beverage stands as you go further up. I was in section 226. There is a log going on outside the stadium as there are tons of restaurants/bars and things to do while waiting for the game to start or after the game. Wrigley offers a good experience and they do a good job in maintaining the tradition of one of the oldest parks in the USA. On a side note, even though the Phillies are not in their division, I guess there is a rivalry of sorts???? Of the attendance I saw, I would say at least 20-30% were Phillie's fan based on the jerseys/shirts/caps, etc. read more
I did not go to a game or even inside the stadium, but had to visit to see the stadium while I was in Chicago. It was worth the short train trip to get up to see it. I walked around the entire stadium and it was cool to see some of the statues and even the rooftop viewing areas. There are plenty of eateries and sports themed venues around if you want to dime while in the area. I'm glad I was able to get up close to the legendary stadium.......defiantly worth checking it out. It was truly a nicely done stadium and has some statues of legendary players outside. read more

I throughly enjoyed myself at Wrigley Field. I was able to see the historic cubs baseball stadium. And finally try a Chicago Dog! The overall experience was a lifetime experience. Everyone was so nice and just the overall experience is one to remember. The Chicago Dog was actually pretty good! I had good seats and there is plenty of food and things to do inside and outside of the stadium ! read more
Hate the Cubs but you can't hate this baseball classic. It's a living legend. Wrigley Field is of course one of the best known stadiums in the world. Pretty much almost the same as when it opened, except for the lights allowing night games. The parking and paying sucks, as does the team playing here, but it's a must see for baseball fans of any type. Can't see Chicago without seeing it of course. It's not only a thing for Cubs games either, as it also has concerts, and sometimes football games. The Bears used to play here, before they moved into their shit stadium. Old school charm. The scoreboard is one of the few still hand operated. A negative that could be said could be the fans. They may not always be friendly to be honest. Are drunken frat boys friendly? What about the blonde sorority girls drunk and screeching? Best known feature in the stadium is of course the ivy. Just be careful running into it, because behind it's a brick wall. Another bad thing is it's possible to lose a ball. Outside the stadium, more history. It has a few statues of the team's great players like Ernie Banks. There's also a statue of famous drunk announcer Harry Caray, and bricks with names of good and not so good players. Got to check it out if you're any kind of sports fan. It's one of the last links to baseball's early years before the luxury. The stadium is an important part of architecture, Wrigley is good, Cubs suck. read more

Absolutely amazing time here! Came here on a Saturday to watch the Dodgers play the Cubs. We sat in section 127 in row one which had a great view that wasn't blocked and also got some sunshine which was nice. Would highly recommend coming here especially if you enjoy watching baseball! read more

A classic landmark of Chicago, everyone should experience Wrigley at least once in their life time. Let's get down to brass tacks, kid... it's a landmark ball field. It is everything you expect it to be... cramped seats, overpriced concessions, terrible parking, horrible crowds... everything that makes it epic! Albeit, I give them a 5-star review, their pricing should be reviewed, it really is ungodly high. read more

The best baseball field there is. The ambiance is the best, the energy of the game and the crowd plus the food and atmosphere last but not least, the staff was great. Very friendly and welcoming. If you appreciate the ball game, you must try for your self. Go to the Wrigley Field at least once and you'll understand. Go Cubs go! read more
There's a whole lot of baseball history here and it's always awesome to visit. The staff and fans are nice...even to the fans of the opposition. The friendly confines are a blast. With that said the history was earned with age, and it's not the most comfortable or convenient park. Without bleacher tickets you can't even walk all the way around the stadium. Wow! Wrigley Freakin' Field! Seeing my Reds (I don't want to hear it) play the Cubbies at Wrigley Field has always been a bucket list item for me that I've been talking about doing for the past decade or so! Opening in 1914, Wrigley Field is the second oldest MLB Ballpark in the league! Only Fenway Park in Boston is older and, even then, it is only by 2 years. There has been so much history that has gone down inside these walls over the years! What a blast! This just felt like the quintessential Baseball game experience! The organ music, the hawking vendors, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" for the 7th inning stretch (w/special guest Candace Parker of the Chicago Sky on this particular night)! We went to an evening game on a Tuesday between 2 teams that have zero chance at the playoffs this year and STILL there were over 32,000 fans in attendance that day! That really speaks volumes as to how popular the Cubbies are both in and outside of Chicago. All that said, you are going to pay handsomely for the experience. For what I am guessing was a 20-ounce domestic draft beer ran about $14. Ouch. Other foods and concessions were at comparably gouge-y prices. That didn't stop me from having a pretty delicious Italian Beef Sandwich though! We had a lot of fun enjoying our first game ever at Wrigley Field! The Reds even won the game 5-3! lol :) Not everyone in attendance was thrilled about that result, but I was pretty pleased. :D Bucket List Item: CHECK This place is legendary and I'm hoping I can make it back here again one day! 4 stars. read more
I am not the biggest baseball fan, especially on TV, but there is something to be said about attending a game in person. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a baseball stadium and was the highlight of the trip for me. The crowd was incredible, packed Stadium for a Sunday afternoon game. Such history in this place, I feel lucky to have attended a game here. We had awesome seats! Definitely go if you are in Chicago during baseball season! read more
Go Cubs Go! This was my first time back to Wrigley Field since their renovations a few years ago. The ballpark looks and feels much cleaner. They upgraded some things while keeping the charm of a one hundred plus year old stadium. I like the addition of the video screens in the outfield while keeping traditions alive like having guests singing the seventh inning stretch. We were lucky enough to see Robbie Gould sing the night we were there. We went to the Crosstown Classic against the Chicago White Sox. I had a great time, which only could have been made better by the Cubs winning. read more
I grew up watching the Cubs on TV so visiting Wrigley Field was a lifelong dream. For such an old stadium the amenities still felt fresh and modern. We were in the upper section and the view was great. Food was of good quality and the atmosphere was amazing. Definitely a bucket list checked off for me and I would recommend this to any baseball fan. read more

My wife and I are Yankees fans, but we're also baseball fans in general and we've been making our way to all of the MLB ballparks (this was 14/30). Wrigley has always been our most anticipated ballpark given its history and we were not disappointed. The ballpark is amazing and they've been able to renovate and keep it modernized while keeping all the classic elements of the ballpark. Our seats were comfortable and our view was great and the food and drink selection was very good as well. It's in a great part of town and it was just a pleasure to see a ballgame here. We'd 100% come back for a Cubs game whenever we're in town! read more
Baseball in Chicago........ The iconic Wrigley Field is a MUST when visiting Chicago, as Wrigley park is the 2nd oldest ball park in the U.S.A.. I've heard alot about Wrigley, but I really didn't know the history about this place so I had to Google - "Wrigley Field" to edjumate a Bruddah, Lol! Did you know that Wrigley Field was built in 1914???? Some of the unique things about this ball park - 1. The ball park is known for its ivy-covered brick outfield wall. 2. There is an iconic red marquee over the main entrance of the ball park. 3. There is no electronic scoreboard, as the scoreboard is a manual hand-turned scoreboard. 4. It is said that the ball park is situated in a residential neighborhood with no parking lots. There views from the rooftops behind the outfield section of the ball park, so you can catch a free-bee of the game! Lol! 5. Wrigley holds the distinction of being the very last Major League ball park to install lights within the stadium for night time games. The lights were installed back in 1988. 6. Between 1921 to 1970, Wrigley field was also the home of the Chicago Bears NFL Football team. 7. Wrigley field was also the home of the NFL Chicago Cardinals (now the Arizona Cardinals), as they used this field from 1931 to 1938. 8. The elevation of this field is 600 feet above sea level. Ain't GOOGLE a great thing???? MAHALO for edjumacating a Bruddah! Lol! The day I came here, the Cubbies were playing the Arizona Diamondbacks, and ya know what???? Yes gangies, there was a "Hawaii" connection in this ball game!!! Josh Rojas infielder for the Arizona Diamondbacks played his college baseball for the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors! In that game against the Cubs, he banged (3) homeruns!!! AMAZING!!!! He had quite a game against the Cubs! Although the Cubbies lost that day, I still enjoyed myself as we had an open bar at the left field porch seating, and we had all the chips & beer we could eat & drink till be barfed! No luck with catching a stray baseball, but overall a great time with da fella's! read more
Wrigley field is pretty fun although I never attended an actual game, I frequent the area cause it's in the neighborhood. Kinda feels like Chicago's bourbon street to me. It's lined with an assortment of large bars and music venues and there is always events at Wrigley. Expect a lil drunken rowdiness, pub crawls, themed groups etc. I usually head to Wrigley for the free events like Christkindlmarket, farmers markets, free movies etc on Gallagher way directly in front. It gets pretty swamped with people during games and some of the epic concerts held there. There's lots of interesting historical stuff all around the oerimeter such as statues and inscribed brickwork. The area is pretty secure too despite the crowds, the police dept is just two blocks away and Addison station on the CTA is just one. It's honestly always entertaining just to walk through but of course enjoying a baseball game is great too. read more

We came from MN to see a game here. My feet were sore from walking 7 miles all day. I took off my shoes and socks for awhile. Got reprimanded by an usher for taking a picture way before the game started. Looked for garlic fries and were only at section 112. Misinformation on website. They were really good. Bought a Coke zero so I could get the souvenir wrigley cup. I liked Fenway Park in Boston much better. Our view was obstructed by a beam. Narrow seating, you needed to stand to let someone out of your row. The concourse was so overcrowded. Makes you appreciate Target Field so much more. You could not walk around the whole stadium like at most ballparks. The scoreboard was missing some info on inning etc. Basically a one and done stadium for me. A home run hitting field as Boston scored 4 home runs Friday night. read more

I am happy that this is going to be my 1200th review, what better way to celebrate it by writing about one of the most acclaimed, and oldest ballparks in baseball? Is it perfect? No. The food options could be better, and the atmosphere is almost too G-rated for its own good, but that is okay. There is a reason this ballpark is also called The Friendly Confines. The people, fans and staff, are incredibly nice, the entertainment is totally geared to kids. It is a harkened callback to the days when kids came to the ballpark to cheer on their heroes, and adults acted like civil human beings instead of crazy drunks that just got out of a St. Patrick's Day parade. It is the entire Terrance Mann monologue from Field of Dreams, personified into the home of one of baseball's most beloved franchises, and maybe in all of professional sports, the Chicago Cubs. You pay whatever they ask because as Mann says, "For it is money they have, and peace they lack." This is why people of all genders and ages attend baseball games. It is why you should attend a baseball game here. read more
C'mon its Wrigley Field, who is going to write a bad review about this globally recognized institution? It's like giving a bad review to Mt Rushmore or the Grand Canyon. Wrigley is part of American history. We came here for a Cubs game on a beautiful Friday afternoon, I was surprised at how it was a near sold-out came for a Friday. with that many people there it was actually easy to get through security and to our seats. We did have an obstructed view behind one of the support poles but we switched seats with each other so each of us can see the batter, plus there was a TV above us to help. I would love to come back here. read more

Great field and even better night spent cheering on the Chicago Cubs! I only wish there was more dining options! I have heard the Sox have so much more to offer in food selections- so I plan on checking out their stadium next while living in Chicago. Parking was easy as there are plenty options. I felt safe walking to and from stadium. Lots of street vendors offering t shirts and more when you arrive. Buy your stuff from the street vendors and save your money. read more

It was such a fun experience... the Cubs won and we were able to hear the Cubs song, which I could not get out of my head! The food was fine, but I definitely think Oracle has a better selection (Note: I love the Giants and our ballpark!!!), which is why I'm rating Wrigley at 4, versus 5 stars. The selection at Wrigley seemed pretty slim- hot dogs, burgers, nachos (regular food you'd find at a park). They did have these fresh made potato chips with a very tasty dip - that was my favorite. I think they're sold only at one location (bottom floor, all the way at the end of the right side of the ballpark). There is also no coffee at the ballpark, just hot chocolate! Thought that was weird for a city known for its cold (and windy!) weather. read more

Cardinals fan here and this is the best ballpark of the eight current and ten total MLB parks I have been to. My dad and I came for the final regular season game of the 2018 season which was between the Cubs who my father loves and my Cardinals. We got lucky and got tickets for half off right behind the Cardinals/Visitors dugout from another guest at the Embassy Suites Deerfield hotel just after my grandmother died. It was nice to take my dad for his birthday right after a difficult week when he lost his mother and I lost my last grandparent. Even though the Cardinals lost it was fun to see the Cubs win. The environment of this ballpark is so incredible and we were blessed with such amazing seats. The food is great too and we shared the Greek Fries and a long kosher hot dog with cookies later in the game. The only older ballpark is Fenway which is fun and the second best ballpark I have been but Wrigley takes the prize as best from what I have seen. I look forward to coming again and bringing my wife. read more

Looking at tickets for Chris Stapleton in August. It says section 32 is obstructed view. Is that because of the netting?
It is because of the low ceiling and large structural pools that hold up the stadium. Was not bad for a ball game as there is lots going on. But would be a problem for a concert unless the stage was huge and lots of movement.

I'll be in Chicago mid March but the Cubs are away for spring training. Am I allowed to tour the stadium during the off season?
It is currently under construction, So even if they do have doors going you won't get the full experience. The last I saw the field was torn up

Pretty safe area. Nice restaurants and bars in the area. Stay on the main streets. Also the new Cubs plaza is worth checking out!
